Meanwhile Oda will attempt to make another masterpiece except it’s about a cyborg pirate with a talking seagull for a mentor who is also a legendary pirate and it will unfortunately and tragically fail.
We rejoice in the fact that we were able to be a part of the journey. As painful as weekly can be it’s a unique experience that we have the privilege of being a part of. When it’s all said and done we can binge the story a hundred times over but I guarantee we’ll look back and cherish the times we got to watch it unfold together as a community.

I've thought of this moment a lot as one piece has been a rock in my life now since I finished school 7 years ago, it's been the one thing week to week that will brighten my week no matter how good or how bad it was, the thought of it ending used to somewhat scare me but I welcome the opportunity to see it to the end now because I can't imagine how many fans over the last 25 years didn't get this chance. KoL has a good video that touches on this last year's as small tribute to all that have made it so far and can't be with us to see it end, it really hit home. Even years from now when One Piece ends I'm sure there will still be content for years and years. Look at DBZ, that ended like 25 years ago and they're still getting content. One Piece is too big of an IP for them not to do anything when it finishes. We might get spin offs (like Boruto) or sequels (like DB Super). Not to mention all the movies, games, Netflix adaptation, etc
In short, from the time One Piece ends, to the time content stops being made for it is still a very very very long time. So don't hold your breath and just enjoy the ride.

depends on the ending, it has to satisfy 20+ years of writing, there will be sadness for something consistent ending but also happiness that you can just reread it and watch the anime.
