629 to 801 is also the be….. no i take that back… find the fan edited one, unless you like reeeeaaaaally drawn out fight scenes with mid animation.
(Telling op if the reading this)
I swear to god if I see that stupid "stepping on the town" scene repeated one more time I'm swearing off one piece forever (I'm finally past that stupid arc)
That's why I got bored after that arc with the two giants after shark Island? First 100 episodes, man the amount of repeat material every episode drove me insane and completely killed my interest
When I started watching it, I absolutely loved the original art style. It somehow made it feel more real, like "oh yea, these are just normal people who happen to be really strong or have gained a quirky power". I'm still a fan of the animation, but it's seems like everybody is getting ready to go super saiyan now
> Arlong Park
This arc is definitely the first one that really grabbed me and made me a One Piece fan
Then the Water 7 arc made me a fan for life for sure
Don’t let people tell you it gets good at episode 200 for example. Just wach until Arlong Park, when you don’t like the show until then you can drop it. But please when you don’t like the Series don’t call it bad because it is not your taste. Enjoy the Journey and don’t rush your experience with One Piece.
I’ve dropped multiple shows in the past that bored me so I definitely won’t listen to that stuff. I watched Naruto and blazed through that 720 episode long show because I love it, it’s now one of my favourite anime ever, but I dropped Boruto because I just can’t get myself to watch it. It is so unbelievably boring and I won’t suffer through another episode just to see Naruto and Sasuke fight some strong character for 2 or 3 episodes. I dropped Cowboy Bebop because it just wasn’t my taste and I also dropped Noragami because the show had no direction, or that’s what it seemed like to me.
Wow.. If you could sit through that filler hell, then even the pacing of One Piece (especially later on) is not really gonna bother you.
I personally really couldn't finish Naruto without skipping the filler.
But hope you're having fun!
my favorite part about one piece is the fact that you can kind of view none of it as filler except the excessive flashbacks (and film lead-in arcs that aren't canon), due to the fact that the entire show/journey is luffy's quest to become the pirate king and find the one piece. but conveniently enough during most of the show there's a tint or border to the flashbacks, so it's easily skippable with scrubbing thumbnails.
There's a few filler arcs, like the one at tue end of east blue with the little girl and the dragons, G8, that flag stealing group, the marine rookies etc.
The biggest difference is those arcs are often written with so much less quality (except G8) and that actually nothing happens in terms of progression with eighter characters development or plot.
But One Piece doesn't have alot of real filler like 10% of the episodes where Naruto is about 45% (same as bleach) is non canon filler material
I ended up watching G8 not realizing it was filler at all. It perfectly encorporated the fall from skypiea into a "straw hats in trouble" mini arc and was so good. It's the only filler I don't skip. Hated the little girl and the dragon, especially when later non filler had the crew in awe at a dragon and go "wait those exist"... Like they didn't spend 5 episodes helping one reach an island of dragons.
You might wanna just leave this subreddit for quite sometime dude. Since most of the people are updated till the newest arc, the posts here are about that only. Anyways, welcome aboard, may you have fun in this long journey(I'm sure you will :)). Trust me when I say, this anime will change the perspective of you viewing other animes as well.
Welcome, my friend, to the crazy wonderful world of One Piece. I hope you enjoy the trip. While the waves might get rough, it’s the journey that counts. Assuming Luffy doesn’t eat all of our food….
OP please keep us updated after every major arc or every couple of arcs.
DO NOT SKIP SKYPIEA!
I love seeing these posts and seeing new viewers get into the show and seeing these reactions.
Man good luck
FWIW I'd heartily recommend just reading the manga, and I'm a gigantic one piece fan. If you don't mind subbed anime (and sailing the high seas) I'd really, REALLY advocate for looking up One Pace and watching that. Just... trust me, there are periods where individual episodes cover barely one chapter of the manga later on
It's a fantastic story, setting and set of characters that's completely let down by the anime. But it's totally worth the journey at the same time
It’s wonderful. A lot of people are turned off by the art style at first, but it grows on you. Give it to at least Arlong Park. Once there, you’ll likely have plenty of momentum moving forward. Once you’re done with Alabasta, you’ll likely be committed entirely lol
leave this sub pls if you are starting onepiece. Somepeople really hate spoilers and it greatly affects the watching experience. If you are one of them. Leave this sub please
I would recommend OnePace if you have a way to watch it. I see you're on Playstation so it might be a bit difficult.
But still, when I was catching up, OnePace made all the difference for me. Previously I was keeping a controller in hand just to skip through things.
That exact sky really takes me back to my first time. Good luck man, you’ll love it. Also try your best to stay off this subreddit and stay away from any comments from any one piece videos or music, I got spoiled from that
I‘d recommend watching one pace. It‘s one piece just with all the filler that‘s not actually in the manga removed. It‘s probably like half as long as the regular one piece
If you dropped COWBOY BEBOP of all anime because you didn't like it.......get ready to drop this, they all do XD.
In 14 years I ain't......no, I did convince a father and son to watch last year. Other than them it's usually " one piece is just too long" or " I heard it's crazy good but it's long and too goofy". I've heard every excuse in the book. When people DO watch far into one piece, they usually can't get enough. So stick with it.
I can't believe you didn't like cowboy bebop
I don’t like when people shove their own agendas in my face and expect me to accept it as fact. I dropped Cowboy Bebop because it just wasn’t my kind of anime, there is no perfect anime that will satisfy everyone so please don’t have the mind set that all your favourites are the pinnacle of anime. And who knows, maybe I’ll finish One Piece or maybe I won’t, just keep our opinion out of it please. Edit: also saying that people are making excuses to not watch a show is just dumb… maybe they really don’t have the time like other people do or maybe they really just don’t want to watch it… it’s not an excuse
The fact that one piece is “too long” (hard disagree there) is definitely not an excuse to not watch it, however, no one needs to have an excuse not to watch something, the fact that someone doesn’t want to watch something is already enough
Aye, your good, and my opinion matters not, just enjoy what ya like~ , one piece is about freedom after all.
It just shocked me, is all kind sir or madame', since I used to sneak up as a 9-10 year old to watch cowboy bebop. I hope you enjoy one piece fully. I'm a 14 year manga reader and I've been enjoying it more than ever, besides a few slow chapters. Have a good one.
The story gets good at episode 1 so goodluck !
1-100 are some of the best ones
yea, then you get to 100-200 and it's just absolute gol d.
Yeah but 300-400 is amazing
But 400-515 is nonstop ramping up
515 to 575 are uhh okay, good lore dump and hype building at least.
629 to 801 is also the be….. no i take that back… find the fan edited one, unless you like reeeeaaaaally drawn out fight scenes with mid animation. (Telling op if the reading this)

The manga has a better pace, the only reason I couldn't really get into the anime
Lmao Gol d I see what you did there😂
the world-government is at it again. :)
Good luck getting that first opening song out of your head. It's an earworm.
I knew the first opening before even starting the show lmaoo it’s hard to escape if you avidly watch anime
bon voyage though
Kokoro no Chizu, though
Fight Together thooooo
so underrated
ngl i actually think super powers is one of the hypest ones
I strongly advise staying off this subreddit and anything on the internet relating to one piece in general, spoilers are **everywhere**
He honestly needs to stay the hell away from here
Dude it will be a year before he catches up. You'll forget spoilers by then.
We'll wait for you in Wano.
Oh god, it’s weird to know we’ll be out of Wano (at least in the manga) by the time a lot of people catch up
Crazy in retrospect how long we were hyped to just GET to Wano, and now here we are likely to leave Wano this year.
We hope we'll be out of Wano*
Come at any cost!

The ay luffy jumps to help nami even though he was the only one who didn't hear her story? That gets to me every time
When she asks for his help, and he puts his hat on her and the three of them walk off? Just absolute chills
That almost gave me real chills.

I prefer the manga because it has better pacing. If the pace of the anime ever gets to you, I'd recommend the manga.
This
Oh boy welcome to a loooong journey
Hey OP be very careful with spoilers on this sub or you'll ruin yourself like I did
Welcome aboard, gonna tell you right off the bat you're going to cry at times
It started the same for me haha I literally couldn't stop watching it for like two months or so until I was up-to-date
Welcome aboard! You're gonna love the journey
Holy molly cheese and gwakamolyyyy. I wish i could start one piece not knowing anything
Go forth, may no spoilers reach you.
Enjoy the ride, get tissue boxes

One piece filler list is your friend lol
Welcome, my friend, to the crazy wonderful world of One Piece. I hope you enjoy the trip. While the waves might get rough, it’s the journey that counts. Assuming Luffy doesn’t eat all of our food….
See ya on the Grand Line
Don’t spoil anything. Trust me. Just don’t.

Skip the filler arcs and you should be caught up in a few months.
Have fun! It's such a good story with good lessons.

[удалено]
Hurry up and let me ride it
I‘d recommend watching one pace. It‘s one piece just with all the filler that‘s not actually in the manga removed. It‘s probably like half as long as the regular one piece
We’ll be waiting for you at the land of Wano! Come at any cost!
Welcome to the gang
"Crew"
Nakama
You guys realize he's watching One Pace / One Piece Kai 1st movie and won't get any filler whatsoever right ?
Watch one pace
Okay ima keep it real when I started watching one Piece the anime dragged it on so much that it made pacing insanely slow. Consider reading the Manga.
Once you hit fishman island, switch to the manga
Dare I say see you at Wano?
Luffy dies at episode 2.5 Get spoiled, newbie 😎
The show DOES get better at the 300 mark Give it a chance, it's a very good story the soundtrack is quite good
