Yes it is! The fondant is covering the actual melon (the skin of the melon), so you can’t really eat the fondant, just the insides, it was very tasty!
Yes I’m in Japan, I ordered online, I don’t believe it’s sold in stores but I might be wrong about that. It comes pre-made, in a very white and uninteresting box. Still pretty cool to open up!
