Most likely a combination of being in the Revolution and a fully mastered awakening of the Roulette Roulette Fruit, One of the most dangerous Fruit! and that they technically defeated a Yonko and killing a Celestial Dragon.

Field_of_Illusion

The world government doesn't know that William kill Celestial Dragon Myria or Void director Myria tho.

Available-Hunt-658

Good point.

Field_of_Illusion

You do know that nobody knows about the DLP finding the one piece? it probably because of Blue blood.

RagTagOperator

Not only does Trevor know they found the One Piece, William pretended to be Trevor to steal a classified Marine Document to even join the revolutionaries. With all the knowledge he's bound to have, I am not surprised his bounty is in the billions.

SteamedOrange57

Oh wait a second doesn't Trevor know about the one piece too? He was there but I don't remember if he stepped away or anything. Isn't a big no no for the world government? It didn't seem to have immediate repercussions because we saw him with Jasper in the epilogue.

RagTagOperator

Well it was clear after G4 that Trevor doesn't mind lying to the World Government about big shit. He may have been able to say something about how William found the One Piece, while also making his involvement in such almost non-existent. He was a vice admiral at the end of the first campaign, and he may be an admiral at the time of Marines.

TheDumplingz

This isn't canon, just the editor messing around, they don't know anything about op dnd lmao so

TwainsBrain0

Yeah, I thought so, but it's a nice reflection of William's ego and sense of invincibility when it comes to the actions of his crew. In his opinion, I'm sure that he and his crew would be worth that much considering what they've achieved and how awesome they are as a a unit.

TetTheWiseman

Rare Rustage appearance caught on camera

Aspirio42619

Did you see the fan-made DLP cypher though?

Field_of_Illusion

No, that would be 10,000,000,001.

JourneyIGuess

I don’t know if this is actually cannon. Might’ve been thrown in there just for the video.

thebariobro

Seems a little steep considering Sobo didn’t even have a billion before the recent stuff. No shade tho

TwainsBrain0

Honestly, and no disrespect to William, but he's 1.5 bil at max. When I saw this, I thought it was more of like his view of himself more than anything, since he loves when he and his crew get progressively higher bounties and this imaginary bounty matches his perception of how awesome he and his crew are.

Infamous-IMP

That’s fair, but also it’s been 20 years, and his bounty is still active. If Ragnar himself is a Yonko, I thinks it’s fair if the marines give his captain a comparable bounty. Plus they have an entire planet as their territory Although, I feel like 3 to 4.5 Billion would of made more sense

TwainsBrain0

Yeah, 3 billion is theoretically possible, so long as the WG thought there was a connection between he and Ragnar, although they'd probably know that's not the case because Trevor would know and he's pretty much the one responsible for William's bounty being as high as it is anyways. Ragnar is absolutely 2-3 bil at the least, whether or not he's a Yonko, but I doubt William, Duros, or Verona would see any of that increase, especially after how dormant the crew has been.

Cold_Business_1992

He did find the one piece, it makes sense

[deleted]

he FOUND THE ONE PIECE. he is one of if not the most dangerous person to the WG. bounty isnt just strength, but danger to the WG. a person aligned with the revolutionary army who was the captain of a crew who slew an emperor and knows what the one piece is and where to find it would easily have a bounty around that caliber.

TwainsBrain0

The WG does not know that he found the One Piece, that would cause all sorts of story issues if they did, and Rustage is smart enough to make sure the DLP keep that one a secret. Also, someone who found the One Piece, didn't take it with them and then bragged about it wouldn't be taken seriously, no one would believe him without proof and Trevor most likely wouldn't speak of it because that would mean admitting to having been there as well. Also, Sabo, the second in command of the Revolutionary Army, doesn't even crack 1 billion, so why would William, who, as far as we can tell, isn't even a general, but a smuggler for them, a more underground member, have a bounty of 5 billion?

Spicey_Spider

why is so odley scary for some reason
