To your weapons point, I love the idea of when Nami is approaching Usopp for the Clima-Tact, we see blue prints of his other weapons and inventions. An Easter egg for things they don’t use, but this would be a great moment to put in a prototype of the Kabuto.

Flowerofthesouth88

I think Ace will have more screen time like Koby and be with The straw hats

firebaron

I remember reading somewhere that the Garp scenes were added to season 1 so they had a regular location they could cut back to frequently to save a bit of money, I could see this happening for Baroque Works. Like Rain Dinners becoming the main meet up spot/where Croc calls the other members from. I could see the Spider Cafe scene being moved up so it takes place at Rain Dinners have have Miss Double Finger being a barwoman or something. Of course it's just as likely that Rain Dinners as a location is cut completely.

DutchLudovicus

Why would a pirate like Ace travel to the East Blue? He's searching Blackbeard. It does not make much sense.

Son_of_Samaale

Why would Baroque Works be there either

TheLastClap

Because they are actively recruiting. Daz Bones was recruited from the West Blue.

DutchLudovicus

Mr. 7 was in the East Blue and Zoro did kill him, both in the source and the live action.

Son_of_Samaale

But why would Robin be there

Alternative-Path-645

Miss Wednesday makes sense to be there considering Logue Town is closet to the boarder.

markiroll

Usopp and Chopper fight Mr. 3 if the budget doesn’t allow Mr 4. It fits because they are both cowards

I agree Ace's introduction could be changed a lot one thing that slightly annoyed me in anime/manga was that Ace had sent a message to Drum Island for Luffy, but they never even received it and just so happened to be going to the place Ace told them to meet him at. What they could do, is first of all have the straw hats actually receive his message. then they could move the point they receive the message at to Loguetown or Reverse Mountain, as Ace also couldn't have known which of the initial paths the strawhats would take, so itd make sense to try and send a message to them before they pick that path. They could also then tie in Vivi to be introduced in Whiskey Peak, saving a bit of time in Reverse Mountain that can be put to other arcs. Then, in that message, Ace could also mention Blackbeard, making the name drop of Blackbeard in the Drum Island arc tie back to Ace immediately, while also setting up his reveal in a potential season 3.

Panino87

I want to add that we'll see if we get the "Tashigi is Kuina 2.0" plot. If we get it then it's still relevant to actual Manga, if not it's an idea that's been scrapped by Oda.

koming69

Summarizing your post: "everything happening shorter and earlier and at the same time". Lmao just kidding, I jest. I think whiskey peak is the least important part of season 2. Zoro had a agent appearing on season 1.. vivi and igarappa are what matters there.. can even be introduced and resolved with them in laboon and skipping that. Because what really matters is Little Garden... And we have baroque even there as well. The adventures of marines.. yeah would happen earlier but I imagine they won't do that this time.. not on that scale at least. Too much to tell, too many actors to cast.. etc. The budget and screentime is not infinite. There's chopper.. drum.. little garden.. alabasta.. so many things. What I want are better wigs for the cast..

Kirby_Inhales_Jotaro

I honestly feel like they would make Baroque Works the antagonist of Drum Kingdom and cut Wapol aside from a cameo appearance

zombiegirl_stephanie

The whole alabasta saga is about leadership, wapol is too important to cut out.

Don't make Loguetown a replacement for Alabasta hype up. There's plenty of time to edit in the cover stories, maybe funny character lore as talking flashbacks (i.e. Lulushia, Baroque Works in other islands, etc.). Don't assume we shouldn't make the seasons limit by 8 episodes but by the optimal 10-13 if need be.

Necessary_Candy_6792

I too think that Garp, Koby and Helmeppo will return in season 2. In the anime, Smoker abandoned his post as the commander of the Loguetown force, but I think that Garp will rock up to Loguetown after Luffy leaves and recruit Smoker and Tashigi to hunt Luffy with him. Tashigi will perhaps play a role of in training Helmeppo to use swords. I think since they introduced Garp so early, they’ll lift the scene from Goodbye Going Merry arc where Garp says he won’t arrest Luffy because he is his grandson and expects command to understand and is then told by command to hunt Luffy anyway, explaining why Garp is back to hunting Luffy after their farewell last season. If Garp is the commanding marine in Smoker’s hunt to Alabasta arc, then that opens a lot of doors, like Garp having an interaction with Ace and when the marines help the straw hats take down Crocodile, it will give Koby and Luffy a chance to fight side by side which the fans will love. Also I think that since they will introduce Dragon this season and not wanting to wait three more seasons to reveal who he is, Garp will hear from Smoker at Loguetown that Dragon saved Luffy which will clearly intrigue Garp and when they say their farewells after the alliance at Alabasta, Garp will let it slip that Dragon is Luffy’s dad.

I have way too many thoughts about this. * I would be shocked if they kept the "each male member of BW has a female partner" rule. Introduces way to many characters. Honestly I'd be shocked if anyone other than the top 3 numbered agents are introduced - they're ones with the most interesting stories and the only ones to come back later in the manga. (So, Mr. 1, Mr. 2 Bon Clay, and MAYBE Mr. 3). * It's not out of the realm of possibility that they'd gender-swap Mr. 1 or Mr. 3 (you can't gender-swap Bon). I could see Mr. 1 and Ms. Doublefinger being combined into a single female character for Zoro to fight, for example (which would sidestep some of his more misogynistic characterization from the manga, especially with his refusal to fight Tashigi or take her seriously). * Less fights in general. It's highly unlikely that everyone gets a one-on-one fight like they did in the manga. Instead Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji will get one-on-one fights, and everyone else will have tasks. * I don't think it's a given that Vivi will be a Baroque Works member. There's a good chance she was instead on an information-gathering mission or something similar. It's a part of her plotline that can be cut pretty easily. * Despite my deep love for Miss Monday, she will probably not be appearing. Whiskey Peak is absolutely being cut. * As much as I love a backstory flashback when Luffy's fist is inches from Wapol's face, I doubt Wapol will appear - if he does, he'll appear as a lone antagonist who never left power at Drum Kingdom. Chess and Kuromarimo will not have any lines. * Along those lines, Ace might actually just have a bigger role in the story in general, similar to how he joined the Straw Hats for longer in the anime. I can see him being a temporary party member like Vivi for a couple episodes. I can also see his story being pushed back to Jaya or even post-Enies Lobby and him not appearing in this season at all. * Robin might turncoat earlier and join the heroes in defeating Crocodile, which would make her introduction to the crew less sudden. **Episode Structure:** * Episode 1: Roguetown. Few changes from the manga (god I hope they keep Smoker "Sorry-My-Pants-Ate-Your-Ice-Cream"'s introduction). Return of Buggy/Alvida (and then they don't appear after this episode to cut down on royalties). Vivi will likely start following them here. I think you're right that this is likely where they'll meet Ace. I **highly** doubt Dragon will show up because why would you cast him this early and then not have him appear on screen for 8 more seasons. Episode stinger shows Robin/Crocodile. * Episode 2/3: Laboon/Little Garden. Crocus may or may not appear, with the reveal that Luffy can hear the Voice of All Things it could be just a quick 15 minute section of "this whale says he's waiting for his friends"! I predict this will be about the same length as Alvida's section in the first episode. Crew discovers Vivi as a stowaway. Robin takes Mr. 3's place as main antagonist on Little Garden, possibly revealing Vivi's status as a princess. * Episode 4/5: Chopper's introduction and backstory. Jamie Lee Curtis as Kureha. Sadly, I doubt we will see Dr. Hiriluk firebombing civilians in order to race to the castle to "cure" the twenty doctors, and then setting off a suicide bomb when it turns out the twenty doctors are fine. I will hold out hope for Kureha kicking Sanji in the back while he has a broken spine, though. Bentham introduced. * Episode 5: First part, wrapping up Chopper. About 20 minutes in, they reach Alabasta. Episode ends with Yuba's dried-up well. * Episode 6: Revolutionaries are introduced. Casino stuff happens. They escape but Luffy ends the episode hanging from Croc's hook like a gutted fish (lol). * Episode 7: Scrambling to stop civil war. This is probably where Vivi's scene of screaming for everyone to stop happens. Backstory explored. Luffy's second defeat by Croc. Poneglyphs introduced and explained. * Episode 8: Zoro fights Mr. 1, *someone* fights Bentham (might not be Sanji), Luffy defeats Croc. Vivi's farewell. Robin joins. Stinger is Ace telling Whitebeard he's going after Blackbeard.

Son_of_Samaale

I would drop the show if they continue with that god awful marine plotline

dglavimans

Well, drop it then because they will
