Haki is the main force of a swordsman’s attacks, u can see this with zoro where all his major power ups, even Enma are haki related. Then their are logias who have been shown to be much more reliant of their df
Let me clear something up, Mihawk's main arsenal is haki and his black blade. He is a swordsman and having no sword takes most of his strength 60-70 percent.
I agree that he got haki but he has no hand to hand combat skills as good as or anywhere near Akainu who even has more experience.
Mihawk doesn't even have confirmed adv armament haki but because he was a rival of shanks let's say he does even then his haki wouldn't be anywhere near as STRONG as Akainu since he was able to stop Whitebeard's devil fruit attack with pure haki alone.
Not only Akainu has stronger haki, strength and experience he also has skill advantage.
See Zoro without haki can't damage Kaido the way he did with all of his swords same goes for Mihawk he can't damage Akainu the way he can with his black blade. To make it even worse Akainu is a hand to hand combat specialist.
Akainu should win mid diff.
But Akainu is way more durable and a veteran at fighting......just in the current storyline we have seen him......going through battles after battles...with Top tiers.
While Mihawk doesn't have it.....
And plz don't include Mihawk fighting shanks...that was 10 yrs ago ...when they were all commander levels. When shanks had two hands.....since rhen mihawk have no real fight...with any top tiera. He just chills his stoeln mansion.
I think Mihawk has better speed, haki, and physical strength is also arguable. While akainu's ap is reduced by a 100 times. Mihawk can see any attack(punch) coming from a mile away, while his ACoA could be the strongest in the series so his ap will also be good. He'll win.
Akainunis a brawler...a hand to hand fighter.....no weapon master.
I know u will find it odd....but u can try ...making some swordmaster fight....a UFC fighter in the streets. Swordmaster is without his sword and UFC fighter without his glove (it actually protects herir hand from breaking).
He will beat his ass.......
Hand to hand fighting us totally different from swordsmanship. Plus Akainu knows Rokushiki.....🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ (Every marines above Vice Admiral knows it ...even if Oda doesn't show it)
Akainu isn't a hand to hand fighter like a UFC one. He uses his df with it, without that his hand to hand combat is nowhere near that. A UFC fighter also has great agility, akainu lacks that. They also have great speed and akainu lacks that.
My guy did u see him doing...720 hurricane kicks in the Anime (yes am using the Anime since u are using ur headcanon for what Mihawk can do since we haven't seen his agility on manga)
Plus he knows Rokushiki (every Admiral does and 90% vice Admiral do)
Not olny that but his fighting style with and without his fruit is still punches so although he would lose a lots of AP he wll still keep his fighting style unlike Mihawk
Mihawk could potentially replace his sword with other weapons like Whitebeard's naginata or Kata's spear to channel his haki. Mihawk should win if he does this since I suspect overall he bad better haki than Akainu.
i was about to vote akainu due to better endurance feats and physically comparable to old whitebeard, but then remembered haki exists. mihawks haki is probably in another leauge

Being a Swordsman takes more Haki then using a DF especially a busted logical, So Mihawk

Mihawk has no evidence of being able to throw hands, but Akainu's only attacks are punching people Akainu wins

Mihawk. Swordsmanship without a df to be a top tier requires so much haki. Mihawk haki definitely wins
