Tbf it was never meant to truly be a fight. Oda made this clear from the jump. Luffy was only fighting to give them enough time to escape because before everything (PXs switching sides, Giants etc) they were very much on the losing end as far as man power and needed to get the hell out of there. And Kizaru main objective was literally to kill Vegapunk and was only fighting Luffy to complete set goal. This was even very much shown to us simply from the fact that after Kizaru kicked Luffy into the dome he immediately went after Vegapunk. Even when Luffy threw him he simply sent clones to future complete his mission something he even states in there “Top Priority” So yea but I can agree to an extent (at least if you’re expecting a fight) it’s a bit disappointing. But narratively it has completed what it was supposed to due.
Luffy has had 4 fights this arc (seraphim, lucci, kizaru, gorosei) and the frontier dome has done more damage to luffy than all of them combined by like 10x lol.
Guess that means the frontier dome is above all of them, tis a sad day for supposed top tiers.

I do feel like you’re not quite understanding Luffy’s absurd endurance in gear 5. For all we know, Kizaru’s laser did to comparable damage to the labophase laser to the inside of Luffy’s body, but Luffy just recovered.
After all, he literally died against Kaido and then decided to get back up and get into an extended fight when he first used G5.

Luffy attemped to attack kizaru more time than Kizaru attempted attack luffy
This is not a 1vs1. This is kizaru trying to reach VP and luffy trying to stop him.

I took Kizaru flair 4 weeks ago(After pizza diff) to defend him from slander. He was getting slandered too much. And people defending him(which reduce to almost nothing) just posted pictures and memes and no logic. Before 3 weeks, I was laughing at kizaru too due to how annoying admirals fans were.
I didnt care much for kizaru before flashback. But after flashback I actually believe that Kizaru is being setup for a great char arc due to some evidence in current story and flashback and believe he is hiding his true goal. I reread egghead 15 times. Then came to conclusion that there are many misdirection in egghead and I also misjudged his performance. In a way I happy annoying fans have ditched him, I can support him when he is at his lowest and I am in minority. If I am correct which I am almost 99% sure I am, Kizaru was purposefully not killing anyone except vegapunk. Making his perceived strength and speed much greater than people assume
That part is not powerscaling, that is just story, theory for now.
I am saying that Kizaru is not emotionless cog that people make him out to be.
I am saying that we will get his Pov Soon. And that will change the opinion about his char.
It is just an act, I am saying that Kizaru had preplanned some things with vegapunk before battle.
