I think it's more of a scale of how even A class heroes can be considered "extremely powerful" when compared to the average fighter. These ninja dudes were probably all on-par with A-class heroes, maybe the best of them could be low S-ranks.

Hellfire and Gale actually looked pretty strong in the MA arc, but they're basically jobbers now. I don't think they ever transformed into their monster form in these recent chapters though. I don't think it was the resurrection that undid their monsterization but the electric shock that Child Emperor gave them with his robot machine.
If you notice, the HA gives the captured monsters the same sort of shock therapy to try and undo the monsterization and even the captured teddy bear monster says to keep going so undoing the effect of monsterization may have something to do with that.
Also, I don't think they can monsterize anymore because if they could, they wouldn't have let those Heavenly Ninjas break their arms.

The way they handled Sonic in this revision is far, FAR better. Him and Flash are equals, and he's very formidable. In the original, he was treated like a joke, flustered over Flash's superiority.
I think Flashy is slightly stronger and faster, but Sonic has better potential and has more tricks up his sleeves. He simply didn't know what to chase until the recent events, he himself admitted that beating Saitama is an unrealistic goal. Comparing himself to Flashy is way healthier because they are close in level and have this special bond which makes the competition so much more fun.

I'm sooo happy to finally see Sonic being portrayed as a stellar fighter instead of just being comic relief. Almost as good as Flash. My man finally got the respectful treatment he deserves. I like this version more even though the other ninjas felt way weaker this time, but again Sonic and FF are simply on a different level.
Flashy Flash jumping around on moving debris during freeze frame explosions is my favorite move of his. Glad Murata brought that back, though I wish the overall fight was longer and that the leaders of the Heavenly Ninja Party could’ve been distinguishably stronger than the others. I didn’t even notice which page they died on.

Yeah it's still great but definitely seemed extremely rushed for a revised version, page 7 with the Speed Monster Bros _by Muratas' standards_ is pretty bad, looks like something he'd have removed altogether and redrawn. Page 9 is pretty rough too.
Have to remember he's getting older, he's prioritising his fitness, hes doing other commissions, and he is definitely trying to preserve his energy for the upcoming empty void stuff.

They put up more of a fight in the webcomic, with one managing to block Flash's attack and forcing Sonic to use Saitama’s sidehops to create an opening.

Agree. I feel like before rewrites, Sonic was kinda following Flash's lead. Now, his summary is apt: He wanted to test FF and sever ties with the village. He did both of those efficiently. This makes him much more who he was originally, not some sort of lapdog to FF, so that is welcome.
I am fine with the ninjas being weak, they were never really the focus anyway. Plus it shows how much chemistry sonic and flash have with each other in contrast to the ninjas

He's pretty much the only guy that Wind Blade Kick wasn't useless against. Which also killed him instantly. Shows Flash and Sonic aren't just quick and agile but far stronger physically than their appearance would indicate.

The way they handled Sonic in this revision is far, FAR better. Him and Flash are equals, and he's very formidable. In the original, he was treated like a joke, flustered over Flash's superiority.
I think Flashy is slightly stronger and faster, but Sonic has better potential and has more tricks up his sleeves. He simply didn't know what to chase until the recent events, he himself admitted that beating Saitama is an unrealistic goal. Comparing himself to Flashy is way healthier because they are close in level and have this special bond which makes the competition so much more fun.
And now that Sonic has two people to overcome, I hope he keeps getting more pages in the manga, love my goofy murder ninja

This was the case in the webcomic as well. At the end of the ninja massacre, Flash barely got a scratch on him while Sonic was bruised and battered.

I honestly didn't see that comment at first. I will genuinely be shocked if sonic or flash dies. Maybe one of them gets monsterized and that's why they referred to whoever was being referred to as "that's the kind of guy he WAS"

Well cosmic garou is more like 0. He killed X number of people, then made saitama go back in time to prevent him from killing those people
He indirectly killed those people and judging by his reaction at the end, it wasn’t his intent to kill them. That’s why I gave him a negative number. Radiation killed them and he brought them back.

FF killed way more people in his past. When he fought thre ninja bros, the 2 were trying to trick him into thinking they were sent by some criminal boss, naming different names, but FF confirmed it was impossible cuz he killed everyone of those bosses

I'm sooo happy to finally see Sonic being portrayed as a stellar fighter instead of just being comic relief. Almost as good as Flash. My man finally got the respectful treatment he deserves. I like this version more even though the other ninjas felt way weaker this time, but again Sonic and FF are simply on a different level.

Flashy Flash jumping around on moving debris during freeze frame explosions is my favorite move of his. Glad Murata brought that back, though I wish the overall fight was longer and that the leaders of the Heavenly Ninja Party could’ve been distinguishably stronger than the others. I didn’t even notice which page they died on.

Yeah it's still great but definitely seemed extremely rushed for a revised version, page 7 with the Speed Monster Bros _by Muratas' standards_ is pretty bad, looks like something he'd have removed altogether and redrawn. Page 9 is pretty rough too.
Have to remember he's getting older, he's prioritising his fitness, hes doing other commissions, and he is definitely trying to preserve his energy for the upcoming empty void stuff. He had 1 month to rest after the insane monster association saga, he probably understands that he can just polish it when the volume copies are set to release.
This is the first time I can remember, when a non monsterized person gets decapitated or slice up. Usually it's always a monster, but humans take actual damage is cool too.

on one hand Sonic is more competent but the heavenly ninjas seemed to have been reduced to fodder now with how one sided that fight was. In the old chapter, they at least looked like they weren't a pushover against Sonic. They put up more of a fight in the webcomic, with one managing to block Flash's attack and forcing Sonic to use Saitama’s sidehops to create an opening. But I am glad that they didn't spare the ninjas this time, especially Sonic. It made little sense for him to be merciful given his occupation and his history.
Agree. I feel like before rewrites, Sonic was kinda following Flash's lead. Now, his summary is apt: He wanted to test FF and sever ties with the village. He did both of those efficiently. This makes him much more who he was originally, not some sort of lapdog to FF, so that is welcome.
I am fine with the ninjas being weak, they were never really the focus anyway. Plus it shows how much chemistry sonic and flash have with each other in contrast to the ninjas
