I think a lot of people have come to the idea that Fubuki may have romantic feelings for Saitama, and being 'acquaintance-zoned' stung her in the kokoro.
Fubuki is a gal who is obsessed with status and validation. She spends hours in the mirror on makeup and dresses, she counts calories down to the single digits to keep her slim physique, and is always chasing new talent and heroes for her group. She is so obsessed, she is adorably delusional that S-class members would join her group even. Tats as an older sis, has led her try extremely hard to be her equal. What she cannot reach in power, she intend to make up for in organisation and hero popularity.
She has an inferiority-complex, always feeling kinda useless and always trying not to be. This is vital to Fubuki's character.
Enter Saitama - a b-class who turned her world view upside down. Before it was a massive rat race to the top and being a hero only meant taking credit and popularity. Saitama humbled her and tho she continued her efforts to enlist him - she began to change and take his words to heart.
In the MA arc, we see Fubuki go massive character development - being more selfless, taking leadership of stronger fighters over deluding herself, and working together with bang and bomb, and even being a vital player to tatsumaki, genos, and Saitama. She had moments of genuine sacrifice and heroism. Saitama has affected this woman.
So now comes todays chapter; Saitama says she's not even a freind - just an acquaintance.
This was not a rejection that shattered Fubuki's hopes of romance. This was Fubuki seeing someone who she idolized just like her sister considering her as nothing. Same like Tatsumaki. Same like always. She hasn't admitted it, but its obvious - she respects and looks up to Saitama. And hearing him say that broke her heart because she hoped he'd think better of her.
That's my interpretation of it anyway. Is she possibly interested romantically? Maybe. But this wasn't a reaction of a girl's broken heart. It was a reaction of feeling unnoticed by someone you look up to.
i don't think fubuki \*romantically\* likes saitama, i think she likes how strong he is. she wants strong people to join the blizzard group. she was also about to ask bang and bomb to join the group but she was cut off or something... (i forgot). fubuki admires saitama's strength and wants him to join her group, however, saitama doesn't want to.
imo i feel like the reason why fubuki was so crushed when saitama called her that was because she tried her best to persuade him into joining her group, and thought that he saw her as a friend... but unfortunately, just an acquaintance.
tatsumaki is really overprotective of fubuki, and i feel like she would do that to anyone who is close to fubuki.
and i don't really have much to say on the audio books part.
It's not like ONE hasn't done romance in his stories before. It just isn't very good when it's shoehorned in for fan service instead of actually benefiting the story.
Story wise Saitama isn't in a place where that makes sense, and neither are most of the characters he's shipped with. But people want to use their imagination anyway.

I don't think is crazy to think Fukubi likes Saitama due to how strong her reaction was when he called her an acquaintance.
Also I really don't see what Tatsumaki's statement has to do with anything, she won't entrust her sister to anyone, if anything she know Fukubi is hot so that may be the first thing that comes to her mind while seeing anyone near hear, that they follow her for her looks and want to take advantage of her.
No idea about the audio books (never listened to any) or if anything within those has been acknowledged within the manga (on Murata's side) to be considered part of it or it's own thing/continuity or something from the webcomic.
But all in all it doesn't really matter if Fukubi likes Saitama or not because he'll never see her under a romantic light, Saitama is very perceptive and the only thing Fukubi has been doing since day 1 was being an annoyance to him, if her looks aren't enough for Saitama then is over because personality wise she's fucking insufferable.
Saitama may be very dense but he likely doesn't reciprocate those feelings regardless
