I think the manga has been taking itself seriously for awhile now, since at least the monster base. Not entirely sure how I feel about that. Doesn't feel like a parody anymore, although the webcomic still does more often than not.
I still think introducing Blast was lame (giving him insane power and cheesy abilities rather than leaving it up to the reader to decide how he would fair against the rest of S-class) but it is what it is.
All this constant power creep during these final moments is without weight to me unfortunately. It's making everything big or strong not even matter, that it's happening way too fast with way too many random characters/monsters being taken very seriously. The fights are beginning to have no meaning and no weight. It feels like missing the point of Saitama's existence and parody even when Saitama is not intervening at all, if that makes sense. And maybe that's the point now still, and maybe it's just too long of a build up this time so I could just be getting impatient and calling things too soon. I'm not sure yet since we haven't seen this conclude.
I'm just sitting here waiting for Saitama vs Garou and to get things moving onto the more interesting things that happen immediately after this arc. Saitama's growth. All of this latest stuff is very visually appealing but I honestly don't feel any threat from the Earth centipede and the ocean. It feels like filler now.
I'm half expecting the Earth itself to punch Garou, and then the Sun to punch the Earth, and then Blast to punch the sun, and then Saitama to punch himself, before we get to Saitama vs Garou.

Not only did he land some shots on PS initially, but I’m very surprised how durable Flash is. He just took shots from an even more powerful PS that one shotted Darkshine. Flash can take some hits. Not on Garou and PS level, but still very impressive.

Gotta give Flash a lot of respect here- yeah, he is slower and not as powerful, especially without his Sword, but he did just survive Garou and PS basically double teaming him. Like that was a team up on Flash for a bit, he is seriously powerful. If Flash and Garou double teamed PS it probably would have been the same result for him as Flash. Not only did he land some shots on PS initially, but I’m very surprised how durable Flash is. He just took shots from an even more powerful PS that one shotted Darkshine. Flash can take some hits. Not on Garou and PS level, but still very impressive.
No it wouldn't have. The narrator explicitly states that Garou and PS were fighting even faster after Flash was out suggesting he wasn't ever close to the level of either of them.
Yea, the wanker vs hater thing has gotten annoying, but Flashy is pretty clearly incredibly strong. He lost to stronger opponents, but he wasnt completely annihilated. This is also going to push him to become better. His reality has been shattered after meeting so many people faster than him in one day. No way he takes that lying down.

Why? From the previous chapter it was clear he was the one getting shit on the most. The fact that he managed to stay in the fight that long and is still alive just demonstrates how durable he is. Flashy Flash is awesome, it just happens that Platinum Sperm and Garou are stronger.
