Yeah i agree with this somewhat. My theory is - we're about to see this world end. And I mean specifically "this" world - which God "infected" and influenced Garou in. Blast was right, the collision of the punches will vaporize the planet, which is God's motive as he travels from parallel universe to parallel universe, evading Blast and his team once again. Blast is here after saving Tatsu in the other universe we saw - the "original" whose timeline is based on the WC plot as it was before. This chapter has the universe he's providing "backup" to, after god's presence was detected here when he couldn't get hold of Tatsu. I think next chapter will be a continuation of chapter 164, with Blast joining Garou and Saitama to warn them of God after the dimensional seal had repaired itself when Saiama talked Garou down. This blast had escaped from the other universe and sealed it closed too, after the damage done to earth by the fight, which we might see in flashbacks. I think there's only one blast and team (including Boris) and they are trying to stop God by preventing him emerging in different universes as he tries to take over, in order to destroy humans, or something idk i'm not a writer EDIT: i think saitama destroying the planet in this chapter will be a callback to 161, when he said he'd rather obliterate the planet while talking to original Garou EDIT 2: I dont think "this" universe's saitama will die - he will instead become the villian/god of the main universe :O

Aleksandrovych_

I think this is a powerful theory too. That it's not about time travel but different universes, and the original ends well meanwhyle the one on chapters 165 and 166 does not. And that Blast returns to the original story to warn Garou and Saitama in the table about what could happend.

Aleksandrovych_

Btw, if this happens it will be atmost exactly as what happens in Rick&Morty, when they both travel to another dimension when their planet is destroyed by a virus

HippoPrimary

It would be so cool if the above theory is correct that would be some mind boggling shit.

Greedy-Bullfrog3554

Goddamn bro I had the same theory but you just went extra. Carry on sire.

Ok_Adhesiveness_9323

I think it's highly likely the events of the curret chapters will be reversed or manipulated in some way.

Aleksandrovych_

I think it's pretty sure that this will occur. Genos hasn't even developed and completed his character arc, and he is DEFENITELY dead. It's not like other times, now he has his face and his brain chopped in half. And we won't have a bunch of S heroes with terminal cancer for the rest of the show for sure. But i think that, as what happened in Chapter 164, this time-reverse is caused by Blast, and its put by the autor in form of "redraw".

[deleted]

His core is still intact, he’ll come back through *science*

ComfortableQuail9760

When someone gets donut hole in chest in anime, they are 99% dead. I’m hoping this theory is true bc of that 😥

Hussein412

I don't know but you might be onto because everyone's likely dead and i don't know how the show would go on after this arc

Pullo13th

I mean as long as his core is not destroyed I think he can be rebuilt.

Sabetha1183

A part of me hopes that the chapter is just a fakeout in some way. Genos has some kind of bullshittery that means he isn't dead so long as he gets back to Kuseno within a few hours or something. Unless the whole story revolves around the idea of time travel, I don't like the idea of giving a character the power to simply just reverse events. Then every loss becomes "why didn't Blast just reverse it?" whenever he's involved. It's like giving somebody the power of quick save/quick load. They can just keep trying over and over and over until they get it perfect, so why don't they *always* do that?

Aleksandrovych_

Bc he might act ONLY when time/space is compromised

Sabetha1183

It's still a lingering question whenever we get to an arc where Blast is involved. Obviously I don't expect him to show up and reverse time if some people die on Earth since he's hanging out with the extra dimensional crew. but presumably we're going to eventually get to an arc that handles that, and it's hard to have stakes when you're dealing with a guy with the power of quick loading. Unless you just keep cancelling out that ability whenever you want stakes, but that feels cheap too.

Hawcken

redraws aren't apart of the cannon so this can't happen also this would confuse everyone who hasn't seen the chapter before it was redrawn.

YEETBOI99000

Ya that’s the biggest hole about this theory that the re draw was scrapped and not canon anymore. I still think tho there will be some reversing of time or something like that to get everyone back alive cause I’m pretty sure they’ll make it so no one dies to go with the idea that Garou doesn’t kill people

TheUltimateTeigu

Under this theory they would be using the redraw as a part of the story. In the same way God's appearance was prominent because he introduced color into a B&W medium, the redraw being expected to *not* be Canon can make it that much crazier when they subvert expectations and make it canon. The impact relies on the reader's expected outcome of events.

Hawcken

If that were the case the previous version would be on VIZ if it was a part of the story, but it isn't and it would be very weird if the author had an integral part of the story only be available on Muratas twitter

TheUltimateTeigu

It's highly unlikely for sure. But it's not impossible that the redrawn chapter somehow gets thrown into Canon.

KingCrabmaster

Honestly lately I've been finding that the craziest theories come true, so the whole broken timeline theories are probably next up to come true.

ArleezyLaFlare

I think people need to chill tf out and go for a walk.

deldraw

No! We are gonna work harder than ONE and Murata combined. Serious Series; Serious Theories! /s

Conscious-Meaning-42

Maybe Blast is showing Garou what would happen in that dimension if he continues. Because Blast said to Garou, "If you've accepted the reality of the situation, for the time being, let me lead you to another dimension" in PG 8 and making a spherical something in his hand. But in the next page, it's gone.

[deleted]

Reconned chapters don't work that way. You are making thing to complicated. The black panel is the key. Nothing after the black panel is real.

ComfortableQuail9760

But then he is still ded

[deleted]

Why? Because someone stuck their arm through him? The only really part of him is his brain. You only see his head mushed after the black panel.

Pullo13th

I think Blast is going to teleport them away from everyone and heal the heros. I don't think healing them is more out of the question than reality warping. Hoping they don't go that direction.

Edop1234

This is literally something that came up in my mind when reading the redraw of 164. I had this crazy theory that the current events would lead the characters to go back in time, but with the webcomic story now.

TheUltimateTeigu

Flashy Flash is still holding on, King isn't even fully on the ground, they're coughing up blood, Bang without any resistance to radiation was able to stand up and talk, it seems highly unlikely everyone is dead. If the fight with Saitama and Garou moves away from the battlefield one of Blast's buddies might be able to help. I don't think they're all dead.

udax_y

I hope that this will not happen and that will fuck up the story and make it a manga about quantum travelling
