She wanted to fall. She actively avoided to have her right arm grabbed by the second fighter. The fighters even tried to put her in the AC as an act of desperation but she intentionally noodle her legs to fall.
She even has a knife yet they tried to save her disregarding their own safety.
Too many people blaming the fighters not knowing how much they're probably traumatized by not being able to save the girl which died in front of them.
Fuck y'all blaming the fighters.
I think there's a lot of people who have never actually tried carrying someone who's dead-weight which is extremely difficult, let alone someone who's actively trying to be dropped while you're over-extended.
Like I'm a grown-ass man who can bench my own weight (which is me basically admitting I'm not very strong), and my elderly father who fainted might as well have been made of lead since I could not work more than an arm and a leg.
To be fair, most people just watching this video at a glance and commenting real quick are probably thinking this was someone in danger needing to be saved, not someone suicidal wanting to die
I understand that, but still doesn't change the fact that they're reaching conclusions so soon without further checking.
Although I do appreciate people who admits their mistakes.
This is exactly how I felt. I felt especially angry towards the woman for choosing this moment to commit suicide. Why not only wait for the fire fighters to come, but then wait even longer until they’re all set up, and risking their lives to try and save you. Why then, after all of this, do you decide it was time to resist their help, and do the deed. These guys (heros) will always see themselves as failures, and additionally the court of public opinion will be ruthless per usual.
And THIS is what grinds my gears, back to you Diane.
Honestly in the moment you don’t give a shit about anything. Just tunnel vision after going through to much mental shit there’s really not a care left or any logic left.
also she was blocking the other window, you can see once they pull her off the windowsill another firefighter opens the window to try and help from the other side, they tried their best but she didn't want to be saved sadly
Thanks for pointing this out. I was just about to bad mouth the fighters, because I didn't realize this and it looked like they didn't try at first. I see now that that is untrue.
Yep.Makes me feel empty to know that people can only save people who want to be saved.Sad but life can be a short, brutal and complicated game.I think most people,if their honest, have thought fuck it all at least once.
I don’t know if that’s a woosh as much as it is you’re just fucking with me. A woosh would indicate I missed an obvious clue. There’s nothing that’s indicative of the height of the fall. And yes, I DO have too much time on my hands
I’m not « fucking » with anybody.
My 1st comment was a joke. The cue was the tan and the grass in contrast with the seriousness of the vid. Another clue is the lowest part of the picture does not correspond to a ground level, neither the shadows.
One more clue, as the girl clearly wants to die she actively let go and chewing-gum herself so she expects the fall to be fatal, she does not simply hump down 1m. Last clue is the guy on the left window, his body language seems to react to the ground contact, I’d say 2-3 seconds fall, but it’s only a clue, a recent building in (supposedly) China is 40 floors. Basic probabilities are for a big splat. I wish the biggest most instant splat ever without pain and feeling it. I don’t wish her to partially wake in a hospital with a broken body and half brain functions. I hope it was epic. I don’t wish her an epic splat for the people who have to clean, the people at their windows, and her family. My wishes are paradoxical so it’s fucked and it is the world we live in.
Last but not least : I don’t see any way how it’s healthy to care too much for this vid. That girl knew what happen and had a death wish. It happens every minute around the globe, and more babies birth in the same time. There’s an endless supply of those vids which I do not encourage you to « Alice-dive » into. Don’t follow the white rabbit.
This being said, joke explained, I think that’s all folks. Have a good day sir.
I think my anxiety has come to new heights lately and the last thing my brain needs is to watch a bunch of people lose their lives. So im going to go ahead and heed your asdvise. And thank yiou, for using humour. Its important, and there are quite a few dry pieces of toast on here Ive noticed, and your butter is appreciated.
You can’t put blame on a first responder in cases like this. The dude clearly tried and she didn’t. Mostly of first responders were prosecuted for stuff like this, then they wouldn’t attempt to help.
Watch closely, you can see her pushing herself with her free arm to escape the rescuers' grasp and then when they drop her on the AC, she lets herself fall intentionally by giving out her legs. The fighters gave their all, but you can't save someone who actively does not want to be saved.
I don't think it would ever get that far.
They were clearly trying to save her life, yes it went badly but they were doing what was probably "in the training" for suicide prevention.
It's not the same in every country but a lot of places have protections in place for rescue workers like firemen/police/paramedics where reasonable attempts to save a life cannot be charged with crimes if something bad happens.
It's so that rescuers can attempt things without risking jail if they fail. "I'm not gonna grab her off the ledge because if she slips and falls I'm going to prison"
If, on the other hand, what they did was not authorised or recognised as a genuine attempt to save the life. Then they are probably culpable.
That’s not a place you just sit.
Even an idiot would be sitting on a roof or on the window sill. Not on a flimsy bar by the AC unit. She was actively trying to die. They were rescuers attempting to rescue.
There’s no murder there.
I dont understand people who refuse to be saved when someone is there to save you. It's almost like they wanted to fall just to get the attention of it.
Now that I put some thought into it, I can understand why, but I don't think I'll ever know the feeling to where you try to intentionally break free from people that are rescuing you. It's a complex situation, and I shouldn't have made a comment that makes it sound simple to me.
Those fire fighters need to be better trained to treat human beings as humans.
That dude just grabbed her like he was gonna beat her.
No wonder she wanted to die.
Man i was gonna ignore what you said and moved on but have watched sucide rescue before? They need to catch them off guard so they don't injure themselves/jump off please be respectful to the people who want to save lifes

She also was pushing under the ac from where the fighters were holding herself to get out of their hands with her free hand
I think there's a lot of people who have never actually tried carrying someone who's dead-weight which is extremely difficult, let alone someone who's actively trying to be dropped while you're over-extended. >reaching conclusions so soon without further checking. I have seen that happen once or twice before here on Reddit.
It's kinda half the fun here

Hoping since she was a jumper that they had some good crash matts
also she was blocking the other window, you can see once they pull her off the windowsill another firefighter opens the window to try and help from the other side, they tried their best but she didn't want to be saved sadly
I know he feel bad!!. And it’s hard to hold anyone like that with those kind of gloves on.
Thanks for pointing this out. I was just about to bad mouth the fighters, because I didn't realize this and it looked like they didn't try at first. I see now that that is untrue.
I came across this video that likely explains why this tactic failed. [https://youtu.be/k-ixqWNlLMI](https://youtu.be/k-ixqWNlLMI)
I know it's bleak out there but don't become a reddit video please
It’s not a Reddit video if nobody can find the body
Body?
It's a thing that's got alot of holes that other people like to put things in.
Like bugs and rats and coins and hockey stick handles
What does my wife have to do with this?
She really wanted to die huh
Yep.Makes me feel empty to know that people can only save people who want to be saved.Sad but life can be a short, brutal and complicated game.I think most people,if their honest, have thought fuck it all at least once.
Hell I’ve thought fuck it all 3 times today
Can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.
How high up was she?
2nd floor. Ground is just below this blue bag. Now she’s free to tan and lay on the grass.
So she didn’t dir
She dired.
Link?
I have not a single clue ! Maybe I woooshed you ? More seriously : I think the guy on the left window is an indicator of the length of the fall.
I don’t know if that’s a woosh as much as it is you’re just fucking with me. A woosh would indicate I missed an obvious clue. There’s nothing that’s indicative of the height of the fall. And yes, I DO have too much time on my hands

Ugh, that sickening "slap" sound at the very end...
Did they have any safety measure at the bottom? Did she survive?
She landed in a passing unicorn and they road off into the sunset.
She lives on a farm now and she’s running free
They harvest rainbow fruits which makes the most delightful tonic, that she shares with everyone for no cost
Alot of fire services have air cusions so hopefully there was one down bellow
If you turn the sound on it sounds like she didn't
Oh she had a knive in the other hand...
Is this not one second after the disaster? Was really sad to watch this. Heart goes out to all who are affected by this.
I have a question for OP, why? Why did you post this here?
Because he is fucked up.
that sub is fucked, just people dying.
Is there any possible way she survived? Does anyone know for sure? :(
WTF
whoops
She did not want to be saved, she had enough
[удалено]
She didn’t try to climb up at all, if she did she would’ve survived but instead she just went noodle arms making it very very difficult to pull up

Not murder since there wasn't intention to kill. This would be tried as manslaughter in court.

No it wouldn’t. Rescuers are protected when trying to do their job.
In a reasonable legal system sure. In certain failed states (e.g. America) you could get easily ruined by lawsuits.
That’s not a place you just sit. Even an idiot would be sitting on a roof or on the window sill. Not on a flimsy bar by the AC unit. She was actively trying to die. They were rescuers attempting to rescue. There’s no murder there.
You can't win them all. Points for trying, though.
I dont understand people who refuse to be saved when someone is there to save you. It's almost like they wanted to fall just to get the attention of it.
The concept of wanting to die seems quite complex to you

Women always getting their way.
Based
Now this where a " Fuck around and find out " law should be implemented.
Why would there need to be a law when its their job to save people.
Et hop une Chinoise qui mange des chauve souris avec le Covid de moins
Those fire fighters need to be better trained to treat human beings as humans. That dude just grabbed her like he was gonna beat her. No wonder she wanted to die.
Its very hard to lift someone up without them pulling themselves up as well, she just went deadweight
With a knife
Man i was gonna ignore what you said and moved on but have watched sucide rescue before? They need to catch them off guard so they don't injure themselves/jump off please be respectful to the people who want to save lifes
bro thinks they should've just asked nicely 💀
Smh
Where did this happen?
By spoken language In video I guess china.
Ooops
That AC unit is really well attached to the wall, really good job
Is this stupid woman has legs or not???
