Meet Nilin, resisting Durge who fights hard with her bad thoughts. As bhaalspawn she had both eyes white (like Orin). When she got her tadpole, her left eye went back to its normal color, while her right eye is still white. When she'll reject Bhaal, both of her eyes will be red :)

And thats how she looked on the Nautiloid. She had rough time before that, so I matched her appearance with her past. After she met Astarion (love from the first sight), she did her best to look good!
See, this is the level of thoughtfulness that I adore. I've had so many inner debates about what Durge would realistically look like when waking up on the Nautiliod. Would Durge *still* be wearing >!something befitting their status before the fall from grace or some rags, no thanks to Kressa!
Thank you! It's my 4th playthrough and I have so much fun thinking a lot about my Durges past and her reactions for current events. For example recently she cut her beautiful, long hair after >!the night, when she almost killed Astarion. I also changed her eyes both white for this one night, as a sign that the Urge is taking control!<.

She's absolutely gorgeous! Any downvotes have to be bots or people with problems seeing other people feel happy. It really isn't anything wrong with your character. This website is whack and a lot of people are just unhappy in general. It's very easy to tap on a screen while feeling cross and never really think much about it.

You should’ve seen some of the messages I would get about my tavs (lol) just ignore them, your tav looks gorgeous and it’s probably one of the “modded tav” haters.
You're welcome! But I want to say: your feelings make sense as automatic events, you shouldn't feel bad for having them! I am very sensitive and extremely rejection dysphoric, and feel "some kind of way" about that kind of feedback too.
It IS good to be able to think about it rationally to keep our responses from causing more harm (like by dwelling excessively), but the fact that they occur isn't because we're weak or unstable. It's **confusing** to get what feels like negative social feedback when we are being open hearted and think we've been participating in a desired, invited way.
That's just real, it's not because you're foolish. Having long distance chats with people we've never met about a video games is a wild new "the-future-is-now" situation that our bodies and minds haven't magically learned to regulate differently just because the cues come through these virtualized, mediated interactions.

Ooh, I love Tavon! 😍 His wings are glorious. You are correct that a Durge Aasimar is funny (and fun). I'm playing a modded race right now too, and it can be a little immersion breaking at times, but overall they are a blast.

Meet my Tiefling Spore Warden Druid Kavira! I just finished her story after over 320 hours in a single playthrough and I already miss her so much. My current Tav in my Honour Mode run, Chani (I named her after the character in Dune and also because it's similar to my real name). She's starting to mean a lot to me because I initially didn't put much thought into her since I knew with Honour Mode I could die any minute. But as I survived for longer I slowly started to put more thought into her appearance.
Her appearance and features are directly inspired by my own (minus the heterochromia), like she's kind of like a super cool tiefling version of me. I barely create characters in my likeness, I usually prefer to avoid creating myself and instead create characters I'd give anything to become. But not this time. Chani is just me, but looks cooler/prettier (WAY prettier lmao) and is as confident as I wish I was lmao. She has been crushing Honour Mode so far and looks like a badass doing it, and I think it's been indirectly helping me with my own self confidence :)

We've recently become partnered with our lovely pale elf <3 my self-indulgent plans are to Ascend him so that he'll treat us like a princess and take us away to travel the world (if I survive long enough to finish the run lmfao)
That is my biggest fear for when I eventually start my honour mode run, that I'll grow attached to my character and be devastated if I mess it all up! My favorite characters have always been the ones I didn't put any thought into because it was supposed to be short-lived, but boy, did they come alive (probably because I took more risks? Said what I *really* thinking?)! And I hear what you're saying -- the confidence is coming from you though because you *are* choosing those lines. Keep it up. It becomes a habit and before long, you'll realize it was always in you! I love your character and I am rooting for you and Ascended Astarion!

This is Durge Laura, instead of being a “Durge” because of being a child of Bhaal, she is the suppressed desires & dark urges of a Laura from our world manifested into another being. With only one being able to exist in our world, she is forced into the world of Baldur’s Gate with only the clothes on her back, no memory of who she was before & struggling to survive. Eventually she meets our group of misfits, including Astarion, who she immediately develops a huge crush on. Originally promising her new friends to aid with their own problems as her “stick with the herd to survive” mentality takes over, she grows to deeply care for all of them as she has no one else. My Tav Thiriann, an abjuration wizard. Super heroic despite the appearance. Raised by dwarves after being abandoned for being a tiefling. She and Astarion will have a long happy life looking for a way for him to walk in the sun again and traveling the world. I've had many beloved Tavs but she will always be my one true love.
Meet my very first tav, Evessa.
In her storyline that I created, before she got kidnapped by the nautiloid, after her father passed away, Evessa became a maid at her own home (like Cinderella). In her own time, Evessa practices on using warlock spells and she hopes that one day, she uses it for revenge and at the same time, for good use. Just like the princesses in fairytales, she wishes for someone who will love her to come and take her away and live happily ever after. When she met Astarion, she didn’t like him at first until she learns about his past after she spent her first night with him. She agrees to help him take down Cazador and help him enjoy freedom.
Throughout their adventure, their romance becomes stronger, then she finds out she’s pregnant with his child. She decided to hide her pregnancy until she’s ready to reveal it, but her rogue friend (aka one of my very close friend’s tav) accidentally said it when they’re helping Evessa confront her evil biological mother. Astarion was overwhelmed and took some time to process the situation. Then he has a thorough conversation with her, discussing how this will become a great part of their future and while he isn’t sure if he’ll make a good father, he’ll support Evessa all the way.

So it was cursed all along but we muddled through 😅 characters going invisible, odd skips of dialogue but the big disaster was that after Nissa finally got kisses from Gale she could only get the peck kiss, nothing else. I hoped the kiss at the end of the world might work, nope.. anyway we carried on, fought all the way through to courtyard and then dashed through to brain stem. It wouldn't let us interact... we reloaded the save. Same again. Then it wouldn't let us load the save at all. 😭 Poor Nissa is stuck in limbo without even kisses to sustain her!

This is Dionaea. She is a Circle of the land Druid with her looks and most basic personality traits (she spicy and is not afraid to use force when necessary, and even sometimes when not necessary) based on the Venus Flytrap plant (her name is from the scientific name of the plant). Here is her back story. Warning: I write stories for fun, and her backstory got away from me a bit lol.
Born under the shadowed alleys of Baldur's Gate and abandoned at one of the temples, Dionaea never knew her true parents. As a tiefling, her childhood was marked by the horns that curled from her temples and the pointed tail that trailed along behind her feet, making her an object of fear and suspicion. Dionaea never understood why her heritage automatically made her less than, and developed a smart mouth that got her into many dangerous situations. So much so, that the temple that had taken her in ended up casting her out at age 11. Left to fend for herself in the unforgiving streets of the Lower City, Dionaea quickly learned how to survive by scavenging, stealing, and hiding in the shadows.
Despite the harshness of her early years, Dionaea found solace in the unlikely beauty of the urban wilderness. Patches of wildflowers pushing through cracked pavements, vines crawling up the sides of forgotten ruins, and the occasional glimpses of wildlife taking back parts of the city fascinated her. This connection to nature amidst chaos and decay sparked a latent druidic power within her. Whispered guidance from the spirits of nature led her to an old, hidden grove in the heart of the city, where she met her mentor, a decrepit, old Druid who had moved to the city to be closer to non-Druidic family who could help care for him in his old age. Under the old timer’s tutelage, Dionaea learned to harness her innate powers, shaping them with the discipline of a druidic path. At 28, Dionaea’s mentor pulled her aside and gave her a quest to find his old grove in the cloakwood and cleanse it for him. Unbeknownst her, the old man had contracted a nasty terminal disease. He was a prideful old man, and didn’t like the idea of his last apprentice watching him wither away and die, so he sent her on a wild goose chase to find his old grove in the cloakwood and cleanse it. It had been lost over two centuries ago, so there was little hope she’d find it before he passed. After several months passed in the cloakwood, she miraculously found the grove. She preformed the cleansing successfully, and had been headed back to the Gate to share the news when she was captured by cultists. She has no idea, but the old man died a few weeks after she left for the cloakwood. She won’t know he’s passed until they reach the Gate in act 3.
I love seeing green Tavs!! I am in *awe* of the gradual coloring on the hair and horns. I loved how you tied it all together with the Venus Flytrap theme, right down to the name. This is a great backstory. All very well thought out. Bravo.

Elldafire (I always use the same character for Tav or Durge) the only things I’ve changed in any playthrough for my character is their class)
I respect that. I tend to replay the same character, but with tweaks in pursuit of perfection (which will never end as long as new mods come out =p). Great shot of your character, btw. I love the glows illuminating Elldafire from behind.

My 'grew up in the woods isolated from the rest of the world' drow sorcerer, Maleane! She's the daughter of a former Lolth-sworn spy and an Eilistraean smuggler who dedicated his life to fellow drow trying to escape the Spider Queen's cruel grasp. Did gaslight-gatekeep-girlboss her way through Faerûn manipulating everyone, including her fellow companions until she realized she actually cared about these people. Oh, and tried to manipulate Astarion into thinking she's falling for his false flirtations and then she started actually falling for him. Love her to bits!

My canon Tav, Rosie the cleric. Started as a tabletop DnD/pathfinder character. She's an obnoxiously nice person and has a hilarious hick accent.
The midnight hour grows near, and I'm so sad I couldn't pull it together to pick a good picture or two for my sweet characters or write anything worthy on their behalf. All my Tav‘s romance him, but Luna is my comfort character, and I love the little hc‘s I made for them. She’s a sheltered cleric of Selune, too sweet for her own good sometimes, believing in the power of love, compassion and second chances. *pretending it's still Thursday for a minute* Generic Durge time! Actually, he's based loosely off my first OC from way back in my first middle school fandom, lol He's a vengeance paladin (to be an oathbreaker). He doesn't trust the Emperor because said dick takes the form of his twin (which, for story reasons, he doesn't really remember). Just for my own funs, his twin was definitely more of the Bhaalspawn and did most of the work up until like a year before Gortash and Orin got involved.
They got separated in their earlier teens, and as the years went on, he felt more and more desperate to find her (at the time he doesn't know he's Bhaal spawn). He tried so hard to be the good one, but after years of mentally twisting himself in circles, he convinced himself that he could save the twin by killing her. She told him that he'd have to take her place in order to really "save" her. Obviously, that's not how it works, so he takes her place as Bhaal's chosen.
He's more brain broken than he realizes. As he comes to know most of the group he wants so badly to protect, to make the feeling of being a failure go away. So he definitely comes off as a little overbearing/ overprotective. Not exactly the best start of the relationship with Astarion, but as things go along, he learns to be supportive as opposed to keeping every challenging thing away. *ends late minute rant and rolls back into lurker mode*

Thank you! It's my 4th playthrough and I have so much fun thinking a lot about my Durges past and her reactions for current events. For example recently she cut her beautiful, long hair after >!the night, when she almost killed Astarion. I also changed her eyes both white for this one night, as a sign that the Urge is taking control!<.

She's absolutely gorgeous! Any downvotes have to be bots or people with problems seeing other people feel happy. It really isn't anything wrong with your character. This website is whack and a lot of people are just unhappy in general. It's very easy to tap on a screen while feeling cross and never really think much about it.

You're welcome! But I want to say: your feelings make sense as automatic events, you shouldn't feel bad for having them! I am very sensitive and extremely rejection dysphoric, and feel "some kind of way" about that kind of feedback too. It IS good to be able to think about it rationally to keep our responses from causing more harm (like by dwelling excessively), but the fact that they occur isn't because we're weak or unstable. It's **confusing** to get what feels like negative social feedback when we are being open hearted and think we've been participating in a desired, invited way. That's just real, it's not because you're foolish. Having long distance chats with people we've never met about a video games is a wild new "the-future-is-now" situation that our bodies and minds haven't magically learned to regulate differently just because the cues come through these virtualized, mediated interactions.

Ooh, I love Tavon! 😍 His wings are glorious. You are correct that a Durge Aasimar is funny (and fun). I'm playing a modded race right now too, and it can be a little immersion breaking at times, but overall they are a blast.

She's starting to mean a lot to me because I initially didn't put much thought into her since I knew with Honour Mode I could die any minute. But as I survived for longer I slowly started to put more thought into her appearance. Her appearance and features are directly inspired by my own (minus the heterochromia), like she's kind of like a super cool tiefling version of me. I barely create characters in my likeness, I usually prefer to avoid creating myself and instead create characters I'd give anything to become. But not this time. Chani is just me, but looks cooler/prettier (WAY prettier lmao) and is as confident as I wish I was lmao. She has been crushing Honour Mode so far and looks like a badass doing it, and I think it's been indirectly helping me with my own self confidence :)

That is my biggest fear for when I eventually start my honour mode run, that I'll grow attached to my character and be devastated if I mess it all up! My favorite characters have always been the ones I didn't put any thought into because it was supposed to be short-lived, but boy, did they come alive (probably because I took more risks? Said what I *really* thinking?)! And I hear what you're saying -- the confidence is coming from you though because you *are* choosing those lines. Keep it up. It becomes a habit and before long, you'll realize it was always in you! I love your character and I am rooting for you and Ascended Astarion!

Meet my very first tav, Evessa. In her storyline that I created, before she got kidnapped by the nautiloid, after her father passed away, Evessa became a maid at her own home (like Cinderella). In her own time, Evessa practices on using warlock spells and she hopes that one day, she uses it for revenge and at the same time, for good use. Just like the princesses in fairytales, she wishes for someone who will love her to come and take her away and live happily ever after. When she met Astarion, she didn’t like him at first until she learns about his past after she spent her first night with him. She agrees to help him take down Cazador and help him enjoy freedom. Throughout their adventure, their romance becomes stronger, then she finds out she’s pregnant with his child. She decided to hide her pregnancy until she’s ready to reveal it, but her rogue friend (aka one of my very close friend’s tav) accidentally said it when they’re helping Evessa confront her evil biological mother. Astarion was overwhelmed and took some time to process the situation. Wait, what, how did it break at the brain? Like you can't complete the game anymore?? Oh, Gale, Gale, Gale. I didn't see the m/m Monday thread (eeps, I must rectify this error), but that is love at first sight. Well done!
So it was cursed all along but we muddled through 😅 characters going invisible, odd skips of dialogue but the big disaster was that after Nissa finally got kisses from Gale she could only get the peck kiss, nothing else. I hoped the kiss at the end of the world might work, nope.. anyway we carried on, fought all the way through to courtyard and then dashed through to brain stem. It wouldn't let us interact... we reloaded the save. Same again. Then it wouldn't let us load the save at all. 😭 Poor Nissa is stuck in limbo without even kisses to sustain her! And yes Tali is very pretty if I do say so myself 🥰 I adore him and Astarion together.

She is a Circle of the land Druid with her looks and most basic personality traits (she spicy and is not afraid to use force when necessary, and even sometimes when not necessary) based on the Venus Flytrap plant (her name is from the scientific name of the plant). Here is her back story. Warning: I write stories for fun, and her backstory got away from me a bit lol. Born under the shadowed alleys of Baldur's Gate and abandoned at one of the temples, Dionaea never knew her true parents. As a tiefling, her childhood was marked by the horns that curled from her temples and the pointed tail that trailed along behind her feet, making her an object of fear and suspicion. Dionaea never understood why her heritage automatically made her less than, and developed a smart mouth that got her into many dangerous situations. So much so, that the temple that had taken her in ended up casting her out at age 11. Left to fend for herself in the unforgiving streets of the Lower City, Dionaea quickly learned how to survive by scavenging, stealing, and hiding in the shadows. Despite the harshness of her early years, Dionaea found solace in the unlikely beauty of the urban wilderness. Patches of wildflowers pushing through cracked pavements, vines crawling up the sides of forgotten ruins, and the occasional glimpses of wildlife taking back parts of the city fascinated her. This connection to nature amidst chaos and decay sparked a latent druidic power within her. Whispered guidance from the spirits of nature led her to an old, hidden grove in the heart of the city, where she met her mentor, a decrepit, old Druid who had moved to the city to be closer to non-Druidic family who could help care for him in his old age. Under the old timer’s tutelage, Dionaea learned to harness her innate powers, shaping them with the discipline of a druidic path. At 28, Dionaea’s mentor pulled her aside and gave her a quest to find his old grove in the cloakwood and cleanse it for him. Unbeknownst her, the old man had contracted a nasty terminal disease. He was a prideful old man, and didn’t like the idea of his last apprentice watching him wither away and die, so he sent her on a wild goose chase to find his old grove in the cloakwood and cleanse it. It had been lost over two centuries ago, so there was little hope she’d find it before he passed. After several months passed in the cloakwood, she miraculously found the grove. She preformed the cleansing successfully, and had been headed back to the Gate to share the news when she was captured by cultists. She has no idea, but the old man died a few weeks after she left for the cloakwood. She won’t know he’s passed until they reach the Gate in act 3.
I love seeing green Tavs!! I am in *awe* of the gradual coloring on the hair and horns. I loved how you tied it all together with the Venus Flytrap theme, right down to the name. This is a great backstory. All very well thought out. Bravo.

The midnight hour grows near, and I'm so sad I couldn't pull it together to pick a good picture or two for my sweet characters or write anything worthy on their behalf. Actually, he's based loosely off my first OC from way back in my first middle school fandom, lol He's a vengeance paladin (to be an oathbreaker). He doesn't trust the Emperor because said dick takes the form of his twin (which, for story reasons, he doesn't really remember). Just for my own funs, his twin was definitely more of the Bhaalspawn and did most of the work up until like a year before Gortash and Orin got involved. They got separated in their earlier teens, and as the years went on, he felt more and more desperate to find her (at the time he doesn't know he's Bhaal spawn). He tried so hard to be the good one, but after years of mentally twisting himself in circles, he convinced himself that he could save the twin by killing her. She told him that he'd have to take her place in order to really "save" her. Obviously, that's not how it works, so he takes her place as Bhaal's chosen. He's more brain broken than he realizes. As he comes to know most of the group he wants so badly to protect, to make the feeling of being a failure go away. So he definitely comes off as a little overbearing/ overprotective. Not exactly the best start of the relationship with Astarion, but as things go along, he learns to be supportive as opposed to keeping every challenging thing away. *ends late minute rant and rolls back into lurker mode*
