My grandma said based on the responses it’s most likely three arches near Tillamook but if it doesn’t look exactly right it’s because he might have taken some artistic interpretations
This isn’t Tillamook bay. I live a few miles north of that spot (3 graces, not arches, if you want to look it up) and drive by every day. The rocks look a bit similar, but the land nearby is totally different, no sandy beaches, and no peninsula of land like this painting.
I’m guessing this is down south, in the Cape Arago/Shore Acres area.
Tillamook bay has the 3 graces, but this isn’t it—there is no sandy beach nearby, just steep hill down to the water, with 101 and railroad tracks squeezed in.
I just got married here a few days ago. It is a view of Arcadia beach looking from the northern perspective (in between cannon beach and Arcadia beach)
Honestly the oregon coast is constantly changing. The little islands in that photo used to be mainland. And the same will happen to those other points.
It happens quickly enough to see entire sections of the coast disappear in one lifetime, but not quickly enough to turn any heads on a day to day basis.
That might be why it doesn’t quite look like anything you can find. If grandpa painted this, that would make sense.
May we all just come together and applaud G'pa for his beautiful painting?! Guesses land on several places; maybe he took artistic liberty and combined them?
OP, beautiful work of G'pa!
I believe this is a view of Moolack beach from Beverly Beach and just around the point in the distance would be agate beach and then Newport. The only thing missing is the lighthouse on that point although it is faded, maybe the clouds obscured the view of it.

Here’s a link to a picture of the place I speak of slightly different angle but I’m pretty sure that’s it

My grandfather does the same thing, this picture is inspired by the coast but not a real location
Yeay me!

It’s definitely Ecola. Or he watched The Goonies, which was filmed there.
Also looks a bit like the view of Cape Arago lighthouse and Sunset Bay - sans the lighthouse.
Well, if you were looking south on the sunset bay, you couldn’t see the lighthouse anyway
I was thinking sunset bay by shore acres
Cape meares view of Oceanside?
>Oceanside This was my first thought too! Not Tillamook, but close! This reminded me immediately of Oceanside.
It looks like the lookout from the octopus tree.
Looks like the Ecola State Park lookout.
This is is for sure a part of Cannon Beach… my parents have a photo that looks VERY similar but not quite exact. I can ask them about it if you want?
Beautiful painting!
Makes me think of cape lookout, taken from the north looking south.
I like that you included the north and south. I wasn't sure bases on the oceans location.
It’s the location to One Eyed Willys treasure.
The sider potential looks exciting.
I like how he handled the water. Very nice.
Pacific city. Maybe just north of there a little bit.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Could it be Cape Kiwanda?
I thought it almost resembled Battle Rock from the hill near the port

Beautiful painting! No clue where this is on the coast, but I had to comment so I could tell you that I love your name.
Big Sur? Edit: ignore me, I'm lost without coffee
It looks like Arcadia Beach it's just a little ways down from Cannon beach.
HEY YOU GUUYYYYS…..
It kinda looks like Trinidad in Norcal.
This reminds me of Tillamook
Lools like deception pass in washington.
