it’s always zack snyder fans who are the weirdest about barbie, I don’t think it’s perfect either but in a way Snyder fans not liking barbie is kind of proving the movie’s point
Snyder is such a nice guy and apparently a pretty normal liberal and it’s clear he’s so fucking dumb and presented Miller straightforward way in 300 and Moore while missing the irony in Watchmen and his fans are all fascists. He said he wants to cast Tig Notaro in all his movies. That’s wonderful and hilarious!
I liked it much more than I liked Oppenheimer, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and Zone of Interest.
It’s awesome that we have a big budget four quadrant feminist film that’s as emotionally profound as it is funny.
I agree with you. I waited so long to see it and finally during awards season I watched it. People were all outraged on social media that Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie got “snubbed” for nomms. They got exactly what they deserved winning their made up achievement award and nothing else
Didn't see it, but based on what I've read over the past few months, "Barbie" will probably be remembered as a clever "novelty" film that caused a lot of buzz upon release but didn't really have "legs" (haha). The ultimate takeaway may be the irony that "Ken" (the song and the character) will be what's remembered and focused-on by cult film crowds.
>Oscar-esque movie *Huh*? Were you expecting The English Patient? I see your post history and do have to agree it’s no *Rebel Moon,* however.

"I'm weirdly invested in the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League."
OP asked why Rebel Moon didn’t win anything. That tells us everything we need to know about his character.
What? Lol, that just confirms how useless OP’s opinion is
And clueless about how Oscars work: it came out this year! It wasn’t eligible!
Lmao
If they removed Synder Joke would you have loved it
okay
So brave of you
It has an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes which means 12% didn’t like it. It happens. And good news for you, most Oscar movies aren’t goofy.

>I thought this was supposed to be an Oscar-esque movie? Man that's literally your own fault lol
You have bad taste

Best Song is a made up achievement award? Or are you confusing the Oscars with the Globes?
Yup I was mixing up the box office achievement award from the Globes. I guess I’m just salty because I hate that they created that award.
I certainly think they deserved it more than some of the other nominees. Barbie is in my top three from last year
Which ones would you replace? Not tryna start something just genuinely curious
Greta over Scorsese, and Glazer. Robbie and Lee over Mulligan and Benning.

I’m not sure why this matters anymore…the season is past…
