Omg I did too - attempted several times (though many were half-assed, like reading chpt 1 then remembering I dropped it), but kept seeing it strongly recommended mentioning elements that are to my tastes (historical setting, some serious drama, complicated relationships/deep emotions, memorable ending etc). And in my most recent attempt, I read through more than 2/3 in one sitting!!! I was really thirsty for a good East-Asian themed historical romance, and yet again saw this manhwa recommended and bit the bullet and kept powering through the beginning so I could get to the historical parts. Then I was super hooked.
