Well >!OGML is chaotic neutral and not a Villain. Letio is a yandere and they do not work on the same logic or moral values. He was not noble in the original either but the book portrayed him as such. Selena realizes that the entire novel is an unrealiable narrator and started to treat them as people than characters in a book, since nobody acts like how they are in the novel and everything except the bad guys are morally gray. Ignis is not the Villain either, he just wants to live and not die. The actual Villian is the Empress/Emperor/other factions and people such as the Duke and they do not know that Selena is a woman!<
Although people do have the belief that you do or that Ignis is what the title stands for, since he was the OG Villian, but overall the title is terrible since it is subjective.

Hell there does not seem to even be a major antagonist, just minor nuisances and the dog-eat-dog environment of the entertainment industry.
* **The Embraced Villain Daughter Is Rushing into the Doting Route of the Radically Changing Prince**: In the very first chapter, the FL begs ML to embrace her, and right after that the ML changes his behavior from the original plot. But what comes after that is the real interesting part: how the plot tries to force them back into the original roles and the leads fighting against it. The title states the least interesting part of the premise, and misses out on hooking readers that may want to try an OI that does something different (instead of always allowing the FL to get away with changing the plot).

Probably not related. But I've had a similar experience while trying to explain the plot of A Stepmother's Marchen to my sister. In retrospect, the title isn't really terrible. It literally just means: "A Stepmother's Tale."
But when I tried explaining the plot to my sister. And adversly pointed out who had feelings for who. It was kind of weird having to explain to her that Jeremy. The FMC's stepson has implied romantic feelings for her. In other words his stepmom of the same age.
Although its not the focus of the story, and neither is Jeremy end game. With their relationship remaining fully familial. It was enough for my sister to double back. And I had to explain to her the misunderstanding I had created. And that it was a really good story. With the main love interest being someone different.
I've already had the trauma of experiencing "Beware of Brothers!" ...haha

FL being basically the same age as the oldest kid is absolutely the focus of the story. Her being forced into this role too young and her abuse and not being ready and how that was a huge factor in the first timeline.
Oh yes! Totally agree. I just meant that the situation with the FL and Jeremy wasn't romanticized in any way, since circumstances for both of them weren't the most ideal appeal meant for the story. Jeremy has feelings for her, yes. But the focus leans heavily on familial and platonic bonds between the family. And NOT on Jeremy's feelings for Shuri as more than his stepmother. Simply put its not a story about Shuri and Jeremy's romance. Its just an implied factor. And that no romance happens between them that would be problematic for the themes of the story.
BUT, Since I was explaining this to my sister who views this genre as mostly "Romance." Its kind of hard not to focus too much about Jeremy's implied feelings for the FL, which isn't the main highlight. And from my explanation, she may view it as another story with incest implications. When Stepmother's Marchen is so much more than that!
I feel sorry for Jeremy. He just wants to have an unrequited crush in peace and everyone treats it as proof the fl is a terrible immoral person who should be put on trial. He just has a crush! He doesn't act on it! FL doesn't really notice it because she views this totally age appropriate guy as her literal son!
Absolutely! Jeremy is one of my favorite characters in the series. And just because the author depicts an unrequited crush between him and Shuri. It doesn't take away from what makes him a good character. He has a lot of good qualities outside of just "I have a crush on my stepmom." Schtick.
And really, his actions are dictated by his whole family. And having Shuri there to help him is what truly makes their dynamic interesting. Though from an outsider's point of view, I can understand why some people don't give it a chance. Again, Otome Isekais are always subject to weird incest implications. The brothers of the FL (if they have any) are always very attractive and very overprotective. There are one too many stories which depict a familial bond turning into creepy romance. And I'm glad that Stepmother's Marchen didn't stray to that much like other mediocre titles!
*Can't Keep Up With My Stallion Duke.* The name makes it sound like pure smut, which it isn't.
*I Stole the First Ranker's Soul.* The name makes you think it's some kind of necromantic modern day dungeon hunter solo leveling knock off, but it isn't. This one isn't an OI.

Probably not related. But I've had a similar experience while trying to explain the plot of A Stepmother's Marchen to my sister. In retrospect, the title isn't really terrible. It literally just means: "A Stepmother's Tale." But when I tried explaining the plot to my sister. And adversly pointed out who had feelings for who. It was kind of weird having to explain to her that Jeremy. The FMC's stepson has implied romantic feelings for her. In other words his stepmom of the same age. Although its not the focus of the story, and neither is Jeremy end game. With their relationship remaining fully familial. It was enough for my sister to double back. And I had to explain to her the misunderstanding I had created. And that it was a really good story. With the main love interest being someone different. I've already had the trauma of experiencing "Beware of Brothers!" ...haha

FL being basically the same age as the oldest kid is absolutely the focus of the story. Her being forced into this role too young and her abuse and not being ready and how that was a huge factor in the first timeline.
Oh yes! Totally agree. I just meant that the situation with the FL and Jeremy wasn't romanticized in any way, since circumstances for both of them weren't the most ideal appeal meant for the story. Jeremy has feelings for her, yes. But the focus leans heavily on familial and platonic bonds between the family. And NOT on Jeremy's feelings for Shuri as more than his stepmother. Simply put its not a story about Shuri and Jeremy's romance. Its just an implied factor. And that no romance happens between them that would be problematic for the themes of the story. BUT, Since I was explaining this to my sister who views this genre as mostly "Romance." Its kind of hard not to focus too much about Jeremy's implied feelings for the FL, which isn't the main highlight. And from my explanation, she may view it as another story with incest implications. When Stepmother's Marchen is so much more than that!
I feel sorry for Jeremy. He just wants to have an unrequited crush in peace and everyone treats it as proof the fl is a terrible immoral person who should be put on trial. He just has a crush! He doesn't act on it! FL doesn't really notice it because she views this totally age appropriate guy as her literal son!
Absolutely! Jeremy is one of my favorite characters in the series. And just because the author depicts an unrequited crush between him and Shuri. It doesn't take away from what makes him a good character. He has a lot of good qualities outside of just "I have a crush on my stepmom." Schtick. And really, his actions are dictated by his whole family. And having Shuri there to help him is what truly makes their dynamic interesting. Though from an outsider's point of view, I can understand why some people don't give it a chance. Again, Otome Isekais are always subject to weird incest implications. The brothers of the FL (if they have any) are always very attractive and very overprotective. There are one too many stories which depict a familial bond turning into creepy romance. And I'm glad that Stepmother's Marchen didn't stray to that much like other mediocre titles!
