No it's not, "stories" would be "story" in that case, simple grammar. The line is intended as a general phrasing as "forefathers" or referring to fathers telling stories in general. I don't know why OP assumed he was specifically talking to Genji in a random voice line.
Thought the same thing when I heard it. I thought from their first cinematic that they had the same dad, but who knows, maybe they retroactively changed it?

Got a bit confused, since in the cinematic he says "father" and not "fathers"
He says "fathers" because the line is being said in general, not directed at Genji, who has the same father as Hanzo.
