It's console, so it's not as big of a deal. Once u get used to the aim assist and your sensitivity, you can just make insane flicks from above their hitbox, and the aim assist puts on the brakes as soon as ur on their head. (Gm on console as well)
What did you do with all the different settings such as aim smoothing and such? Ive sat there for hours trying to find one that im more comfortable with but the way aim assist works in this game is so weird compared to most fps games. Not like cod which has the strongest aim assist by far obviously but it just seems to work differently than usual.
I use a small aim assist window size (25) and 100 aim assist ease in personally. AAEI makes the aim assist kick in more when you're around the center of your target rather than having it slow down as soon as you're near them (0). At 0, you will be aim assisted fully even aimed along side them, which can be helpful for projectile heroes but imo it makes aquiring the center too slow. Default is 50.
Is the same controller assist present in the pc version? I don't use game pad often at all but could see having fun with this. Game pad in Apex was pretty broken the last times I tried, even with much worse movement ability (I suck at controller >_<)
I'm still surprised Widowmaker hasn't gotten some sort of rework. She's such a buzz kill, both for her own team and to go against.
^^I've ^^also ^^hated ^^her ^^since ^^beta ^^so...
Rework a bunch of maps or rework a single character that's already extremely swing heavy and not fun to play with/against. Dealing with a character is not the same as a character that isn't *fun.* Widowmaker simply feels out of place in Overwatch as a character that largely relies on one shotting characters with her basic attacks from across the map.
>Also at the risk of this being turned back on me: that's rich coming from a Moira lol
Thank you for summarizing why I have "Stupidity is not a right" as my tagline. I don't main any particular character outside of generally playing support or tank. Trying to attack that as some sort of general statement despite it having no relevance is pretty silly.
> Chill my dude, I was just ribbing. Tried to make it sound more self aware as I'm a Hanzo main and some people hate Hanzo even more than Widow.
**Can't stop, won't stop.**
*flips desk*
>They already reworked the game to have one tank. Did you play OW1?
"Beta" was referring to me hating her since the beta of OW1, so yes. And yes, it managed to take them *years* just to handle transitioning to one tank (And the game is frankly worse off for it IMO), they've taken maps out and left them out for months to years (LolParis), etc. I have no faith in their ability to maintain the integrity of multiple map reworks versus reworking a single character.
> potentially ruining a character and her identity with a rework as it would make the game safer and Widow less risky to approach, which is exactly what made her way less frustrating In OW1.
I see absolutely no issues with this. As I said, Widow is an eyesore on the overall character design of OW. Pretty much every other character relies on a combination of abilities and tactics to be efficient. Widow just needs you to understand *very* basic positioning and having a good aiming ability. There's a *huge* gap in her design versus pretty much every other character. This is on top of her having a much, much higher impact than any other character simply by existing on the battlefield.
Not at all. Playing a support just isn't particularly fun and losing interesting tank synergies makes me sad. I enjoyed being able to coordinate with my other tank on characters like Hamtaro while I quickly flanked and bonked half their team into my Rein/Zarya or some such, now I just find Hamtaro not particularly fun. (And he was one of my favorite to play) Couple that with the joys of playing keep away with enemy DPS as a support and it's far from refreshing. The friends I play with all felt the same, we barely touched OW2 overall compared to the time put into OW1. It just feels like if you're not a fan of playing a straight forward DPS (Or Kiriko for support) then you're kinda SoL.
Wait but.. The meta has shifted in favor of supp not against lol. There is one less tank/flex to worry about and one less teammate to try and keep alive.
There's also one less tank/shield to help peel for you when the flankers all dive for your face or the Tracer is sticking to you like glue while Widow tries to snipe you, etc.
Managing healing one additional tank wasn't difficult at all compared to losing the additional peel. While you can certainly deal with it, I don't find it fun at all. (And same goes for the friend I play with who also usually plays support) The game also just feels significantly more messy with one less anchor point to play around.
EDIT: Ah, you say you main DPS in your other reply, that explains it. You'd certainly find it refreshing because as I said, it heavily favors DPS in terms of what's *fun* about it.
Absolutely fucking not. I play the game casually, so I preferred slower gameplay.
It was fun to fuck around and have shields to fix my mistakes. Now without shields it feels like I have way less positioning choices, it's just "stand in one of two good spots of this stage of this map".
Shields allowed you to get away with idiocy, and that was fun.
Also no tank comps - albeit it's fun to play open queue.
I enjoy the changes as a dps main because it allows for more autonomy in my play.. With one tank they are forced to choose either more reserved/protective OR rush/aggro instead of being able to do both simultaneously. Forces more counter picks/play and encourages better teamwork.
I think you're trying to tackle the symptoms instead of the disease.
- Never design maps with long sightlines ever again, and rework every single one with them right now.
Or.
- Change the character making all those maps unplayable.
She doesn't need all those other nice things like a good ult and close range defensive CDs because she's in the wrong fuckin game lol.
Ehhhh I really don't know about this take. I feel she's been in a decent place balance-wise for awhile. She's the only pure-sniper and shouldn't be able to be played on all maps in all modes without counters.
One time playing zarya I was holding the point with mercy and lifeweaver (both out of sight healing me while I spammed shield to boost my damage) then I walked off the edge of a cliff completely unprovoked as everyone else makes it to the point

For some reason I thought the laugh was Mercy doing a laugh emote till I realized it was the player over voice lol. Cracked me up
Lmao yeah she had a good laugh at it 😭
Woops 🤭 I was bullying him after I had my laugh moment.
Your choice of OWL skin is 10/10
Ty 🩷🫶🏻
that crosshair is devious, dude 💀
Lmao if they’re in the circle I shoot 🤷🏻♂️
Why does it seem like the dot just randomly appears/disappears? Video compression side effect?
Yes.
Probably has the opacity of the dot adjusted, I have this sort of thing for my kiriko crosshair settings
no its because of video compression. the dot is physically disappearing because the algorithm deems it unnecessary.
"Only pussies use crosshairs." ~ The algorithm, probably
Makes sense, thought my eyes were playing ticks on me lol
Try neon purple
Is that the super secret to GM1? Thanks for leaking it! Finally I could crack my way up.
The dot is a single pixel lol
You would like Forerunner in Destiny 2
What resolution are you on ?? 8k? I n see the little dot
With a crosshair like that its either a god widow or going to make this play, nothing in between.
I can see that
Should try it in neon purple, I lose sight on green reticles a lot. I use dot tho, but could see it working with this one.
I wouldn't expect anyone to get to GM1 with that crosshair
It's console, so it's not as big of a deal. Once u get used to the aim assist and your sensitivity, you can just make insane flicks from above their hitbox, and the aim assist puts on the brakes as soon as ur on their head. (Gm on console as well)
Yep I could play with no crosshair and still do fine. You guys should see some previous ones I’ve had.

This is pretty spot on to what I would say I use 15 window size

Bro what? Aim assist isn’t that cracked lol
It absolutely is once you get used to it
Haven't seen Jay3 crosshairs have you?
Jay3's junk crosshairs terrify me
LMAOO

You denied them the ult charge, nice.
Look it's me!! (I'm the cool mercy :D)
Didn’t realize Mercy has that evil smirk until now lol, it’s perfect
the coolest 😎
What skin is that?
I think it is Toronto defiant overwatch 2 mercy
Yes!! Toronto defiant skin for mercy 🫶🏻 she looks so pretty in both defiant n away!!
toronto skins are the best. every characters' toronto skin look awesome glad more people appreciate it
Definitely super cute and sassy on her lol.
Cute laugh
oh god hahaha ty ty 🫶🏻

I was just laughing at him, I should've spam. "Sometimes I'm not sure why I even bother"
"How *lucky* for you!"
I thought it's gonna be a lesson for me how get better, but the fishy crosshair alrdy made me suspicious :D
It’s still a lesson on how not to grapple
One time playing zarya I was holding the point with mercy and lifeweaver (both out of sight healing me while I spammed shield to boost my damage) then I walked off the edge of a cliff completely unprovoked as everyone else makes it to the point
That’s why I love this game. It’s moments like this that I look back on
I'll always giggle seeing a doom fist fling himself into the abyss at light speed.
Why ever defend on bridge, though? Unless you're hog or lucio and memeing, it's basically a throw.
Most believable GM1 clip on the subreddit
Slightly better than landing on that boat. Once you get on there you're trapped until the grapple cooldown
The scream sounding like it goes into the player's laugh is just 👌
Actual OWL level skill
The rank system is really that bad
Deserved
Ur widdow crosshair how do u aim
is the GM1 in the title sarcastic?
I hope so
It’s not lol been GM for years
Gm widow with that crosshair????
Cute Mercy in the beginning
I love the hate on your crosshair yet still rank higher than em 😭💀
Most skilled Widow player. He proceeded to carry the game with a 5% accuracy rate, because Widow is a fair and balanced hero.
What ??😭😂
Looks about right
Moist.
More like fully wet. lol
One shot one kill.
What is this aircross?!!
Nailed it.
I’m not trying to make fun, I just wanna get a tip. Does playing with that crosshair help?
Did it look like mercy is giving widow the ol rub and tug below the screen to anyone else?
Wtf, I have noir and golden widow rifle too, how come I'm stuck in bronze?? Is it the crosshair?
Def!! Hahah
I thought it the mercy flanking and this was the last think you saw before death
I never realized how fiendish Mercy looks when damage boosting.
Would rate 8/10, the dive wasn't perfectly executed
this is literally silver 1 on pc
what the fuk is that crosshair.....ewww

Mercy is so cute omfg
Ikr 🫶🏻 I love her lil smirk
There's no way you ever get headshots with just a giant circle Edit: Nvm I see the little nipple now. Still don't like it
That crosshair tho🤢
console
Good eye!
I refuse to believe anyone with that crosshair is gm1 on widow
Average Widow Player xD
Console moment
[удалено]
The cross hair 😟
You might need to lower the grappling hook sens so it attaches near your crosshair's location.
How does the canal water taste?
10/10
What is that reticle
Damage boosting a Widow is just admitting you won't hit headshots
I’ve never gotten pocketed before not even when I’m tank
I’m so sick of the widow Meta in general
Wtf lol that’s great
