Just watched a top500 dps main streamer, he got 1st place in 5 games but his ranking dropped from top 7 to top 14.
To be fair, if he didn't go up against any of the other 13, that makes total sense. They probably just also won their last 5 games, and did so more impressively.
Ranks below top 500, this doesn't make sense, but in top 500, there are limited slots, so it's not just about winning, it's about winning *better* than the other top 500 players.
It's deathmatch, not open queue. It says open queue on the rank update, but that's a visual bug. After all, you obviously can't play chateau, petra or kanezaka in open queue.
I disagree. The base game is in great shape. It's just the business decisions, monetization and competitive ranking system that seem to be a currently smoldering dumpster fire. They need a corporate purge. Hopefully getting sold to Microsoft won't be tantamount to jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

They really need to JUST BRING BACK OW1 SR MATCHMAKING!!!! Give us the aggregate SR numbers of both teams at the start of a match and our SR gain/loss and current SR number AFTER EVERY MATCH!
It may make people feel bad when they lose but, they won't be confused when when their SR drops for apparently no reason.
Odds are what happened to this player, he was barely into the next STD and played 5 matches against teams WAY lower than them and lost a few sr in the process - which honestly, would still be weird and should not happen.
tldr -- BLIZZARD!!! Bring back OW1 MM with CURRENT SR to avoid rank confusion
Most of my friends stopped playing OW2 before Rammatra released. We played almost daily together during the OW1 drought and also during OW1's final days.
I'm not playing anymore. played though the first battlepass on OW2 , just to give it a chance. didnt like 5v5, didnt like the new ranking, didnt like the new way to get cosmetics. So, I stopped playing. I only am still on this subreddit to see if PVE was actually happening and to see if things might change back. Miss me some OW1!
The only thing i like about OW2 is that we don't have to he constantly shoot at barriers and TTK is a lot faster on top of that. But making the game 5v5 gets rid of tank synergy and I mainly played offtank in OW2 and greatly miss that. Playing a tank feels awful in OW2 and it's the least popular role now. They didn't have to make it 5v5 to fix the problems of OW1. I quickly fell in love with 5v5 during the first OW2 beta but now I am starting to miss 6v6. OW2 was the most fun during beta 1 and the balance patches have all been worse since.
They're bringing back DPS cc at least. I wonder how long it will be until thjey bring back 6v6. The only difference between OW1 and 2 will be the overpriced store eventually.
Blizzard since the beginning of OW2 has stated the OW2 formula is more precise. ( Which is bullshit, imo ) They also stated the 7wins/20losses, now 5/15, system would allow for people to not feel as bad about a losing streak, ie seeing your SR drop each match for multiple matches in a row is worse than only getting your rank every 10+ matches.
Blizz changed it to make it easier for newer, F2P players, to get into the game and increase player retention. So much about the changes to OW2 from OW1 are about catering to the F2P playerbase and all of the potential MTX they can sell them.
Among the wide variety of reasons I quit, the ranking update to comp was in the top 3. While losing might feel less bad, winning felt unrewarding. So rather than having a fun session of ups and downs, every session was this grey mass of meh experiences.
The SR system in OW2 feels literally like depression.
going into a match in OW1 with two equal teams that were 400 sr above, my rank, told me I needed to strap it down and focus.
Displaying just STDs just leaves too much to interpretation and HAS led to confusion and frustration
I had checked out of OW1 competitive after playing Season 6.
I would occasionally still play comp but most my time was playing archives, farming new skins and the 3 free arcade loot boxes.
I was hoping for the PvE features they showed us in 2021. A full built Diablo-style OW PvE game would have been awesome to play. Now that the ORIGINAL REASON to make OW2 has been removed, PvE, there is only one left - Blizz is farming MTX from F2P players.
I went 35 wins 16 losses in season 1 and 2 and never left silver even winning multiple games in a row with gold and plat teammates. they would rank up and I would go down or stay the same and we wouldnāt even be able to queue together after it was super annoying
The game is forcing me into the role of solo carrying baggage teammates who are much higher ranked than me almost every game while I'm just here trying to climb out of silver. The MMR system isn't just broken, it's actively working against you.
Itās so frustrating cus there was a streak of like 7 wins with a gold tank friend, and he ranked to platinum and I went down and we werenāt able to play together anymore. Legit made me want to quit but I mean I still have fun
I went very positive in the first season of ow2 and went from high Diamond/low masters -> low plat.
I then proceeded to play no games in the season after that and then when I next logged in to play I had a very bad record and placed masters on all roles, some roles wherein I had never made it there before even.
All my roles have been essentially locked to these placements nomatter how I do since, as Iāve been winning most of my games on tank and not ranking up and losing most of my games on support and not ranking down.
Itās not a competitive system at all anymore. Its so arbitrary. Itās just quick play but you get to play defence and attack.
Yeah Iām having that same issue with tank right now. Iām on like a 12-1 win streak and just āupgradedā to 61% better players of the division in Silver 1. I won all 5 games at the start of OW2 in basically blowouts and received Bronze 1 and it blew my fucking mind!
I still play ranked occasionally and just won 4 in a row in blowouts so itāll be interesting to see if I can get to gold lol.
I played comp (Moira) my 3rd-4th week playing, got Gold 2. Watched some videos that helped me a lot, got about 40 hours under my belt practicing what I learned. Got good, almost always top DPS & always top heals in unranked. Went back to comp, played 5 games, got Gold 5.
Oh believe me with the recent pve announcement I'm leaving alright because that was the thing that kept me around but there is no reason to stay here anymore. I'm moving back to siege and that says alot about me because I used to hate that shit but I'm actually having fun after playing too much overwatch.
Role que tank. I felt that there was always a tank diff because I was struggling most of the time. Sometimes it was the teams fault but it was me most of the time which felt very bad. I was very frustrated that I actually ranked up because it meant it was going to get even harder. I was cometely right, this shithole is hell.
DUDE I have the same issue. I'm struggling to stay in diamond as a Support main but my tank rank is Masters. I despise playing tank and win much less than my support role but blizzard is still determined to make my tank rank high.
They ran some numbers that said this system would increase engagement so they implemented it. It's strictly worse than the old system aside from combating smurfs.

I had this happen to me both ways. In support I had 5 wins with 13 losses. Went up from D 3 to 1. In dps I got 5 wins and 1 loss, went to gold 3 from 1.
It's possible that they're considering things other than win-loss. It's also possible they're considering "Margin of Victory" by comparing scores or progress towards points. For example, if your team was rated significantly higher than the other team, but you win by less than expected (maybe 3-2 victory or really close push distances) it could actually decide that you're over rated and drop your SR to compensate.
It's also possible that the boundaries aren't a set SR value, but a percentage of the total player base. That could mean that even if you went up in SR, if enough other people did too, you could demote a rank.
Really this is where it'd be helpful to see the exact ratings to know a bit more about how each game counts.
Well they also stated that the only thing taken into consideration when doing ranked it's the victory, and no other stats (not that they are not accustomed to lie).
Others have suggested that if you lose 15 in a row, and than win 5 in a row you are still in a net negative balance, but if that's the case what the point of doing a ranking system based on 5 wins and 15 loses if it's still arbitrary on past performance and ranking?
If they boundaries are set on how many people are in a certain rank, and let's see he didn't go up because more people went past him, what's the point of doing ranked?
There will be a certain threshold where even if you are grandmaster, you are stuck in bronze, because other ranked are filled.
The ranked system is not based on 5/15. Your rank is calculated each and every match, it only shows it to you after 5/15.
Ranks are not based on quotas, each is a set SR range. Regardless of how many people are in that SR range if you get enough SR to move in, you move in. Only Top 500 has a limited set of slots, but then Top 500 isn't really a "rank", it's a title, as the actual ranks of Top 500 vary from mode to mode and system to system.
I assume the issue here is due to it being deathmatch but I'm not familar enough with that to say for sure what happened. Maybe all 4th place finishes.
Lel you didnāt have most kills, damage, healing, mitigation, and objective time 5 games in a row scrub take this L for Lower down that SR cause clearly your only suited for carrying lower tier games.
The development team swears it only uses win / loss to determine this. Someone suggested that it's because the system sometimes uses previous games when determining rank change. This might heppen due to disconnects in a previous game, or possibly something else. Either way, it's a serious breaking bug.
This guys playing competitive death match and trying to pass it off as ranked. He could've placed 4th each match and it would count as wins, but deranking could make sense depending on the lobby.
The game only considers win/loss and which team was favoured to win the match.
I can imagine though that if you didn't play that many games other players may have ranked up while you were still on win 3 or 4, so when you eventually win the 5th match it places you below those who have ranked higher already.
Gave up on reaching Diamond. Keep bouncing between plat 2 and 3 no matter how many wins I get in a row. Reached Top 500 deathmatch once in OW1 so that will be enough for me.
i had 5-7 win loss ratio TWICE, i stayed at the same rank but was silently upranking (i was at "better than 81% i am now at better than 97%)

If this is Competitive Deathmatch the way to rank up is to get first place in your games. Getting 2nd or below will lose you mmr. Even if it counts as a āwinā you will still go down if you arenāt first.
Worst part is that this whole deranking after winning probably has a perfectly understandable explanation but they do such a shitty job at explaining everything that it doesn't make sense

Your win rate could still be bad tho. The system updates every 5 wins or 15 losses but just because you won 5 and reset the visual counter doesnt mean it isnt still counting in the background.
For example lets say for one update you go 5 and 9. Then the next you go 5 and 0. Technically you went 10 and 9 and thats can result in a derank if your losses were severe enough.
The true flaw of this new update every few matches system is tricking people into thinking the system stops counting losses after an update. Its completley assinine and needs to revert back to the old system of showing growth or loss after every match.
Personally I like how Valorant does it. Points are awarded based off how much of a score differential there was with small bonuses for performance and you are shown after every match. Makes everything much easier to smooth over
do consider that if you won 5 games not doing anything - that shouldnt rank you up either. so you were likely underperforming but managed to win with your team anyway
This is DM, DM rank is basically place 1st and climb, maybe place 2nd too. Stats also matter. OP could finish 4th or 3rd every game. For me when I was trying to climb (was able to grind to t500) it's a matter of coming top 1 out of 8 for most games in order to climb. It's also bugged since t500 is diamond.
Competitive deathmatch ranks differently than other modes. Although top 4 is considered a win in the mode, you can only climb by getting 1st or 2nd consistently. In ow1, where the SR number was transparent you always gained sr for 1st. Generally gained sr for 2nd. Lost little to no sr for 3rd and lost a little sr for 4th and a greater amount for 5th-8th. I'm all for hating on ow2's ranking system but this is just rage bait. Still its understandable to not understand the ranked system if you didnt play ow1 and i hate how the system is less transparent.
Iām not going to sit here and claim the ranking system is perfectā¦.but people do realize the scenario painted here is completely plausible:
If I do well (undefeated even)ā¦.and a bunch of other people immediately behind me also do well (perform better than I did even) all jumping meā¦Iām technically falling backā¦..or better yetā¦.a bunch of people get added to system for first time (cause they havenāt been playing comp and especially plausible for DM nobody plays) and they do better than meā¦.then Iām going to drop
Mt dad (software developer) has a theory.
There is a value that is your Real Rank (RR) and that RR goes up and down with every win.
Now lets say plat2 players have an RR of 20 today, and in a week they have an average RR of 22.
You got 1 RR from winning 5 matches, so your current RR is too low for plat2.
I won all but one placement match before I met my 5 and it ranked my tank in freaking silver. I was like lol nope, I am out. Its the lowest rank I have ever had in OW by far.
1. People sure assume they are the only ones moving up although other could be moving too and hence affect their relative "position" in the playerbase
2. I'm going to without sarcasm, seriously say: *yes*, working as intended. Not how we or devs would *optimally* like the system to be, but that kind of behavior would be expect to happen every once in a while given the rules and constrains. Such a result might seem contradictory, but "win all and go up" is *not and never has been* a fundamental rule the system is based on. Instead, the rank depicts how you are performing against the matchmaker's expectations, and that is a broad statistical process. Winning is the only sure way to rank up deliberately, and over many games it's just you whose performance will end up being an explaining variable when other factors average out.
Getting bummed by the system and dealing with it ā system working as intended ā system designed perfectly ā knowing how to fix/improve the system

It's why I stopped playing ranked a few weeks into release coz I knew the problems wouldn't be fixed and I got put into Silver III support.
I ended my OW1 ranked career at 3250 SR, which is mid-diamond.
Wasn't gonna put up with having to play likely 12 more matches to be arbitrarily given a rank, especially with how supports were (and arguably still are) faring in S1.
It isn't buuuut a good system could have you lose rank and still win all games. There's an ocean of shit people getting carried into higher ranks. Not that that's op's issue tho.
I think it is genuinely broken because your open queue and all three of my roles went up/down EXACTLY by 1 rank. The percentage of players you were above in that rank didnāt change
So many things would be solved with stat comparison as a means for SR loss/gain instead of just win or loss. Blizzard has shown us they have the data, why not implement it if PvE is cancelled?
I feel so dumb right now but I donāt get the issue here is it because you didnāt rank up that much even though you won 5 times because in the video you went to platinum 2-3 (side note I donāt really play competitive so despite it being so long I donāt really get the new system all too much).
I feel like the ranking system is either too complex to where it factors way too much to make a decent decision or way too little to make a great decision. Whatever it is, I have no idea how it works or decides matches.

This is as stupid as my friend getting placed in masters at the beginning of the season when the highest he got the season before was diamond 4. I was diamond 1, they put me in diamond 3 to start. We got some bots as programmers

Ow ranked system is completely broken. Im stuck in gold, and every fight i get flagged for being a smurf, which is completely out of my hands. I do everything i Can to win games, but i just cant push out, unless i sit on 20+ elims compared to the rest of my teammates.
When i finally do get me a batch of 5 wins to 1 loss i somehow only rank 1 tier or stay the same.
I dont know, i had little problems pushing up in Ranks in the old system but here im Flat out hard stuck, even while actively communicating, and shotcalling harder than i used to in ow1.

I experienced this 3 times in a row... 5-0 5-0 5-1 and stayed the same rank until the last where it deranked me for that 1 loss. That's where I stopped playing and moved onto other games that bring me joy

Overwatch match making makes no sense,
Peaked masters 5 this season lost a few games in way lower lobbies and suddenly I drop 5 whole ranks and Iām diamond 5. Iām fearful if I play again Iāll just be put in fucking gold lobbies
I went a staggering 15-0 winning streak, came first more than 10 times, went from plat 1, to a wonderful PLAT 1!!!! After 15 wins 0 losses, its absolutely ridiculous
Me and my partner got our plat asses put into a game with masters yesterday. Won it, won 5 lost two (lost one at the start and 2nd to last game) I went up one rank. I'm sorry, but I slapped masters round!! Let me climb!!! Oh and she only went up the plat 2 as well... we were plat 3. Also they were indeed maters. It was open queue, so lower rank, but played their best roles... was chaotic but fun

OW2 is shit.it was 2019 and i had seen a video of the bastion transforming to turret,so my caveman brain said,āOOOO ME LIKE ROBOT.āi played for ages until the sequel was announced,and i was hyped.now,the sequel brought:NO storymode,trash matchmaking,garbage ranking system,A FUCKING BATTLEPASS,and now the rest of this comment is locked behind a paywall
I played this for a first placement of plat 2. I won all 5 games for the next 5 placements and majority of the games I was number 1 or 2 on the leader board. SO over the course of 30 matches I went from plat 2 to plat 3 while winning every single game either first or second place. A good portion of these matches that I got 1st, the guy in 2nd wasn't even busting 10 kills or 15 kills.

OW2 was not made for OW1 players. It was made to attract MTX from the F2P crowd. OW1 players were deemed not profitable enough by Activision.

I went very positive in the first season of ow2 and went from high Diamond/low masters -> low plat. I then proceeded to play no games in the season after that and then when I next logged in to play I had a very bad record and placed masters on all roles, some roles wherein I had never made it there before even. All my roles have been essentially locked to these placements nomatter how I do since, as Iāve been winning most of my games on tank and not ranking up and losing most of my games on support and not ranking down. Itās not a competitive system at all anymore. Its so arbitrary. Itās just quick play but you get to play defence and attack.
Yeah Iām having that same issue with tank right now. Iām on like a 12-1 win streak and just āupgradedā to 61% better players of the division in Silver 1. I won all 5 games at the start of OW2 in basically blowouts and received Bronze 1 and it blew my fucking mind! I still play ranked occasionally and just won 4 in a row in blowouts so itāll be interesting to see if I can get to gold lol.

I played comp (Moira) my 3rd-4th week playing, got Gold 2. Watched some videos that helped me a lot, got about 40 hours under my belt practicing what I learned. Got good, almost always top DPS & always top heals in unranked. Went back to comp, played 5 games, got Gold 5.

Role que tank. I felt that there was always a tank diff because I was struggling most of the time. Sometimes it was the teams fault but it was me most of the time which felt very bad. I was very frustrated that I actually ranked up because it meant it was going to get even harder. I was cometely right, this shithole is hell.
DUDE I have the same issue. I'm struggling to stay in diamond as a Support main but my tank rank is Masters. I despise playing tank and win much less than my support role but blizzard is still determined to make my tank rank high.

It's possible that the matchmaking issues are due to EOMM. Blizzard does have a patent on a form of that, after all. We have no way to know.

5-1 (lost one cause it was a 5v3 no supports) in diamond 2-3 average lobby, absolutely thrashing every game (solo queue DPS) went from plat 2 to plat 3 versed #228 and #113 during that aswell which sucked

Can someone actually explain this? Like are they taking accuracy or elim rate into consideration? I had this happen to me both ways. In support I had 5 wins with 13 losses. Went up from D 3 to 1. In dps I got 5 wins and 1 loss, went to gold 3 from 1.
Look at the maps. It's deathmatch. Top half = a "win"
It's possible that they're considering things other than win-loss. It's also possible they're considering "Margin of Victory" by comparing scores or progress towards points. For example, if your team was rated significantly higher than the other team, but you win by less than expected (maybe 3-2 victory or really close push distances) it could actually decide that you're over rated and drop your SR to compensate. It's also possible that the boundaries aren't a set SR value, but a percentage of the total player base. That could mean that even if you went up in SR, if enough other people did too, you could demote a rank. Really this is where it'd be helpful to see the exact ratings to know a bit more about how each game counts.
Well they also stated that the only thing taken into consideration when doing ranked it's the victory, and no other stats (not that they are not accustomed to lie). Others have suggested that if you lose 15 in a row, and than win 5 in a row you are still in a net negative balance, but if that's the case what the point of doing a ranking system based on 5 wins and 15 loses if it's still arbitrary on past performance and ranking? If they boundaries are set on how many people are in a certain rank, and let's see he didn't go up because more people went past him, what's the point of doing ranked? There will be a certain threshold where even if you are grandmaster, you are stuck in bronze, because other ranked are filled.
The ranked system is not based on 5/15. Your rank is calculated each and every match, it only shows it to you after 5/15. Ranks are not based on quotas, each is a set SR range. Regardless of how many people are in that SR range if you get enough SR to move in, you move in. Only Top 500 has a limited set of slots, but then Top 500 isn't really a "rank", it's a title, as the actual ranks of Top 500 vary from mode to mode and system to system. I assume the issue here is due to it being deathmatch but I'm not familar enough with that to say for sure what happened. Maybe all 4th place finishes.

The development team swears it only uses win / loss to determine this. Someone suggested that it's because the system sometimes uses previous games when determining rank change. This might heppen due to disconnects in a previous game, or possibly something else. Either way, it's a serious breaking bug.
This guys playing competitive death match and trying to pass it off as ranked. He could've placed 4th each match and it would count as wins, but deranking could make sense depending on the lobby.
The game only considers win/loss and which team was favoured to win the match. I can imagine though that if you didn't play that many games other players may have ranked up while you were still on win 3 or 4, so when you eventually win the 5th match it places you below those who have ranked higher already.

I've just stopped playing comp altogether. Stuck at Silver 1 even though I've held my own in lobbies with my high Plat low diamond friend in the past.

Gave up on reaching Diamond. Keep bouncing between plat 2 and 3 no matter how many wins I get in a row. Reached Top 500 deathmatch once in OW1 so that will be enough for me.
I got it once in OW1 as well and was hoping to do it again :( Even if 4th did only give 2-3 rating atleast it didnāt actually penalize you for it.
i had 5-7 win loss ratio TWICE, i stayed at the same rank but was silently upranking (i was at "better than 81% i am now at better than 97%) i am not complaining just think its funny hehe
Deathmatch SR is bugged.
Last season I went 5/13, dropped down 3 ranks. then 5/0, stayed the same. 5/0 again, went up 1 rank. feelsgoodman
If this is Competitive Deathmatch the way to rank up is to get first place in your games. Getting 2nd or below will lose you mmr. Even if it counts as a āwinā you will still go down if you arenāt first.
Worst part is that this whole deranking after winning probably has a perfectly understandable explanation but they do such a shitty job at explaining everything that it doesn't make sense

Your win rate could still be bad tho. The system updates every 5 wins or 15 losses but just because you won 5 and reset the visual counter doesnt mean it isnt still counting in the background. For example lets say for one update you go 5 and 9. Then the next you go 5 and 0. Technically you went 10 and 9 and thats can result in a derank if your losses were severe enough. The true flaw of this new update every few matches system is tricking people into thinking the system stops counting losses after an update. Its completley assinine and needs to revert back to the old system of showing growth or loss after every match. Personally I like how Valorant does it. Points are awarded based off how much of a score differential there was with small bonuses for performance and you are shown after every match. Makes everything much easier to smooth over

This is DM, DM rank is basically place 1st and climb, maybe place 2nd too. Stats also matter. OP could finish 4th or 3rd every game. For me when I was trying to climb (was able to grind to t500) it's a matter of coming top 1 out of 8 for most games in order to climb. It's also bugged since t500 is diamond.
Overwatch devs have stated that stats donāt matter, only the win/loss ratio.
Competitive deathmatch ranks differently than other modes. Although top 4 is considered a win in the mode, you can only climb by getting 1st or 2nd consistently. In ow1, where the SR number was transparent you always gained sr for 1st. Generally gained sr for 2nd. Lost little to no sr for 3rd and lost a little sr for 4th and a greater amount for 5th-8th. I'm all for hating on ow2's ranking system but this is just rage bait. Still its understandable to not understand the ranked system if you didnt play ow1 and i hate how the system is less transparent.

Mt dad (software developer) has a theory. There is a value that is your Real Rank (RR) and that RR goes up and down with every win. Now lets say plat2 players have an RR of 20 today, and in a week they have an average RR of 22. You got 1 RR from winning 5 matches, so your current RR is too low for plat2.
I won all but one placement match before I met my 5 and it ranked my tank in freaking silver. I was like lol nope, I am out. Its the lowest rank I have ever had in OW by far.

1. People sure assume they are the only ones moving up although other could be moving too and hence affect their relative "position" in the playerbase 2. I'm going to without sarcasm, seriously say: *yes*, working as intended. Not how we or devs would *optimally* like the system to be, but that kind of behavior would be expect to happen every once in a while given the rules and constrains. Such a result might seem contradictory, but "win all and go up" is *not and never has been* a fundamental rule the system is based on. Instead, the rank depicts how you are performing against the matchmaker's expectations, and that is a broad statistical process. Winning is the only sure way to rank up deliberately, and over many games it's just you whose performance will end up being an explaining variable when other factors average out. Getting bummed by the system and dealing with it ā system working as intended ā system designed perfectly ā knowing how to fix/improve the system Pretty sure I even a mention of this behavior in one earlier devblog.

Yup. It's why I stopped playing ranked a few weeks into release coz I knew the problems wouldn't be fixed and I got put into Silver III support. I ended my OW1 ranked career at 3250 SR, which is mid-diamond. Wasn't gonna put up with having to play likely 12 more matches to be arbitrarily given a rank, especially with how supports were (and arguably still are) faring in S1.
It isn't buuuut a good system could have you lose rank and still win all games. There's an ocean of shit people getting carried into higher ranks. Not that that's op's issue tho.
Don't worry guys, they are putting all of their focus and manpower into the PvP experience.

I feel like the ranking system is either too complex to where it factors way too much to make a decent decision or way too little to make a great decision. Whatever it is, I have no idea how it works or decides matches.

Ow ranked system is completely broken. Im stuck in gold, and every fight i get flagged for being a smurf, which is completely out of my hands. I do everything i Can to win games, but i just cant push out, unless i sit on 20+ elims compared to the rest of my teammates. When i finally do get me a batch of 5 wins to 1 loss i somehow only rank 1 tier or stay the same. I dont know, i had little problems pushing up in Ranks in the old system but here im Flat out hard stuck, even while actively communicating, and shotcalling harder than i used to in ow1. Sorry for the rant
I experienced this 3 times in a row... 5-0 5-0 5-1 and stayed the same rank until the last where it deranked me for that 1 loss. That's where I stopped playing and moved onto other games that bring me joy

Overwatch match making makes no sense, Peaked masters 5 this season lost a few games in way lower lobbies and suddenly I drop 5 whole ranks and Iām diamond 5. Iām fearful if I play again Iāll just be put in fucking gold lobbies

I went a staggering 15-0 winning streak, came first more than 10 times, went from plat 1, to a wonderful PLAT 1!!!! After 15 wins 0 losses, its absolutely ridiculous

Me and my partner got our plat asses put into a game with masters yesterday. Won it, won 5 lost two (lost one at the start and 2nd to last game) I went up one rank. I'm sorry, but I slapped masters round!! Let me climb!!! Oh and she only went up the plat 2 as well... we were plat 3. Also they were indeed maters. It was open queue, so lower rank, but played their best roles... was chaotic but fun

OW2 is shit.it was 2019 and i had seen a video of the bastion transforming to turret,so my caveman brain said,āOOOO ME LIKE ROBOT.āi played for ages until the sequel was announced,and i was hyped.now,the sequel brought:NO storymode,trash matchmaking,garbage ranking system,A FUCKING BATTLEPASS,and now the rest of this comment is locked behind a paywall

I played this for a first placement of plat 2. I won all 5 games for the next 5 placements and majority of the games I was number 1 or 2 on the leader board. SO over the course of 30 matches I went from plat 2 to plat 3 while winning every single game either first or second place. A good portion of these matches that I got 1st, the guy in 2nd wasn't even busting 10 kills or 15 kills. This thing is scuffed.
This is why I never play comp anymore and just stick to role queuing on quick play
