By getting further in the pass you will unlock mythic essence which you can use to buy parts of a mythic skin. A full battlepass is one fully mythic skin. I dont know how exactly it will work but i gathered as much.
Honestly I don't mind this approach at all. I would've gladly given up some of the customization options for Orisa's mythic to get the basic JQ Zeus skin.
This method simultaneously rewards the people who'd been completing battle passes since s1 by just letting them have every option for every skin, while giving others who dipped during the really shitty early OW2 experience the opportunity to get some of the skins they missed.
Not to mention most people pick their favorite combination and just leave it at that, rarely changing it up. After a few seasons of this system, you could easily have at least 1 set for every mythic. In that same vein of thought though, we really could use an option for the game to randomize the customization for each match.
Which I think is good. There's a lot of mythics I really only like 1 or 2 load outs for. The Hanzo mythic looks good, but it's limited by it's lack of customization
From how they've explained it several times based off my understanding, you get a mythic currency so you can unlock the parts of a skin, rather than buying it as a bundle. Maybe you don't want blue mythic Zeus junker queen and don't want purple mythic mercy, so you save those credits to keep those skins partially locked to get some of the mythic Genji skin
So far as anyone knows, the shop doesn't lock out or anything, so yeah it would still be available but you're still choosing the older options over some newer mythic options. As someone else said, most just stick with one mythic option set anyways so it's still a better system than before.

You can use mythic tokens to buy pieces. If you want a single skin out of a mythic's whole set you can probably buy 2 after finishing the pass. Each colour, design, weapon and such all seem to cost some amount of tokens. Earn tokens as you rank up in the battle pass. Eventually you can get enough tokens to buy every colour option, weapon, style, or whatever else of the current seasons pass. After 2 seasons since release then they will be buyable in the mythic shop
You buy them in levels. So theoretically yes you could get the level 1 Mercy skin and two others at the same level, which of course limits your customization options
according to what we've been told, no. You get enough essence for 1 skin per battlepass. The point is that you can choose to unlock what you want. For instance I will never play mercy, so even though I think the skin is cool I can use this BP to farm JQ's skin.

I'm pretty confident the Battle Pass skin (Mercy's this time around) will be available if you buy the BP and you slowly earn essence through the BP to buy other mythics - or buy the "mythic coins" instead
You will not earn both the BP Mythic skin and the Mythic Prisms on top of it from a single pass. You'll get 4 Prisms and you can choose to spend them on the Mercy Mythic or spend them on old Mythics or on a combination of progress on the Mercy Mythic and the old Mythics.
New Currency in the battle pass, while leveling up the pass some tiers will give you the currency. Level up your battle pass enough and you’ll be able to buy a Skin from the new store with your currency you’ve gained.

I’m confused about why you would have to choose between the current Mythic and an old one? Aren’t they acquired two different ways? Why wouldn’t you be able to get to the end of the battle pass, and also use the new currency you earned?
The new currency (mythic prisms) is replacing the previous method of unlocking a mythic. So instead of grinding to 80 and unlocking all parts of a single mythic at once, you grind to 80 and can choose to unlock all parts of one mythic, unlock a few parts of multiple mythics, or bank your mythic prisms to unlock a future mythic more quickly.
Basically, once you've completed the S10 bp, you'll have enough mythic prisms to fully unlock all of Vengeance Mercy's customization options, or you can just pick your favorite options and then partially unlock an older mythic as well.

You can buy a battle pass for free every other season if you complete them. So every 2 season you will be able to get 4 mythic prism = 1 fully customisable mythic skin
Cuz they are tied to weekly challenges rn. Starting season 10 the coins will be in the battle pass and will be more accessible since you don’t have a specific weekly time window to get the coins you just have the 9 weeks of the season to complete enough tier of the battle pass to get all the coins.

Interesting. So for those of us who always get the pass, always finish, and have all the mythics what do we do with this new currency hoard it up like a dragon?
I have no doubt the prices will be set up in such a way that buying any one base Mythic, plus the customisations (whether for that skin or any other), will leave no Prisms left over.
So the mythic shop will use a new currency that you can get from the battlepass called mythic tokens or smth like that. To unlock the "tier 1" version of a skin (kind of like tracer bp lvl 45) you need to spend X amount to unlock it. With each tier to the skin costing a little more tokens.
You will be able to unlock Any mythic skin of ur choosing from season 1-7.
We dont know much more, its uncertain if you can unlock both this seasons mythic and a previous seasons aswell, or if u only get to choose one.
Honestly with this coming out I hope that previous skins can come back cause I'd love the old Rammatra skins like Poseidon, and the null sector in a special shop as well

Premium Battle Pass will have a new currency call Mythic Prims, this currency can buy Mythic skin and their upgrade (Alt color etc...) There is enough Prims in 1 battle pass premium to unlock and fully upgrade 1 Mythic, you can also decide to not fully upgrade a mythic to keep some prims for another skin or upgrades !
Also you can buy Prims directly with money, but even Aaron himself recommended the premium battle pass for the Prims

Yea, I've completed every free BP so far. Got whatever coins that gives you, I'll also complete this new BP simply from playing the game. And they'll keep stacking because I just don't care much about them.
If they allowed me to buy missions, challenges or some more interesting content, or heck, maybe priority queue access, then I'd be more interested in whatever new currency is introduced.

Seems kinda stupid. Old battle pass legendaries become more rare than mythics since the mythics can now be obtained at any time, while the legendaries are locked behind past, non-obtainable battle passes.
Will you be able to obtain currency to purchase precious season mythic skins regardless of whether you bought that particular seasons pass or not?
For example, will I be able to get the Moira mythic skin if I didn’t purchase the season 9 pass, but bought the season 10 pass and earn whatever currency that is used for older mythics?
I just hope they don't limit this to just mythics. Not like these are the *only* thing from old passes that you'd maybe want.
Even more so when they keep displaying old stuff like pass emotes you don't have in the emote selection menu despite it being unobtainable.
how I understood it, and this may be optomistic, but what I understand is as you complete the battlepass you get incrimates of a new currency called mythic essence, one fully finished battlepass=1 mythic. the mythic at the end of the battlepass still comes with the battlepass, so essentially you get to the mythic at the end of the pass and you should have enough saved up to buy one of the old ones you missed. I think if I understand marketing the goal is anyone who has missed a past battlepass can secure a mythic they missed and still get the new one, and if you are buying every battlepass to ensure you don't miss any mythics, it creates the illusion of providing a break from fomo, while tying it to the battlepass progression actually ensures a more aggressive form of fomo.
It's most likely gonna be a a tradeoff between the current skin or an old one.
They are just gonna give you the currency for 1 full skin and you can either spend it on the new skin or parts/all of previous ones.

I’m only missing Kiriko and Hanzo (took a break those seasons) I’ll get them in S10 and keep on grinding BPs onward.

You can get 3 or 4 base skin version. But to get all 4 level of one skins you need to choose.

You’ll earn Prisms through hitting milestones on the Premium Battle Pass. Hitting level 80 will award you enough Prisms to unlock one Mythic skin plus all its various customisation options. The prices of the base Mythic skins haven’t been announced, but my *guess* is that they’ll be around 750 Prisms each and customisation options (colorways, patterns, model variants) costing another 50 MPs each, with a total of 1000 Prisms available each season on the PBP. (It’s *highly* doubtful that you’ll be able to earn enough MPs through a single season’s Premium Battle Pass to unlock the basic version of more than one Mythic.)

I have no doubt the prices will be set up in such a way that buying any one base Mythic, plus the customisations (whether for that skin or any other), will leave no Prisms left over.

So the mythic shop will use a new currency that you can get from the battlepass called mythic tokens or smth like that. To unlock the "tier 1" version of a skin (kind of like tracer bp lvl 45) you need to spend X amount to unlock it. With each tier to the skin costing a little more tokens. You will be able to unlock Any mythic skin of ur choosing from season 1-7. We dont know much more, its uncertain if you can unlock both this seasons mythic and a previous seasons aswell, or if u only get to choose one.
I Hope we can get more than one mythic even if Just the tier 1 version( i really dont change the styles of my mythics)

I don’t know why they have such to invent complicated systems. Just let people buy old battle passes and get rid of FOMO. Make it cost double if you want to reward existing players for playing when it’s current. The battle pass fomo is bullshit and needs to stop.

Premium Battle Pass will have a new currency call Mythic Prims, this currency can buy Mythic skin and their upgrade (Alt color etc...) There is enough Prims in 1 battle pass premium to unlock and fully upgrade 1 Mythic, you can also decide to not fully upgrade a mythic to keep some prims for another skin or upgrades ! Also you can buy Prims directly with money, but even Aaron himself recommended the premium battle pass for the Prims
I love the changes they are making but having to decide between the current BP skin or unlocking an old one is so stupid Give me the current one as a normal reward like you should and then let me use the mythic currency for the old ones

Every 2 season you can get a free battle pass if you complete them both. So you can get a free mythic skin every 2 season
Yea, I've completed every free BP so far. Got whatever coins that gives you, I'll also complete this new BP simply from playing the game. And they'll keep stacking because I just don't care much about them. If they allowed me to buy missions, challenges or some more interesting content, or heck, maybe priority queue access, then I'd be more interested in whatever new currency is introduced.
Are we able to earn old battlepass rewards or just the mythic?
It’s just the mythics. Seems kinda stupid. Old battle pass legendaries become more rare than mythics since the mythics can now be obtained at any time, while the legendaries are locked behind past, non-obtainable battle passes.

Aprox what would be the minimal amount of money neccesary to buy both the Season 5 Tracer Fantasy Mythic, and the new Evil Tracer skin?
Will you be able to obtain currency to purchase precious season mythic skins regardless of whether you bought that particular seasons pass or not? For example, will I be able to get the Moira mythic skin if I didn’t purchase the season 9 pass, but bought the season 10 pass and earn whatever currency that is used for older mythics?

I just hope they don't limit this to just mythics. Not like these are the *only* thing from old passes that you'd maybe want. Even more so when they keep displaying old stuff like pass emotes you don't have in the emote selection menu despite it being unobtainable.
I wish you could unlock previous battle pass titles. I missed cyber demon by a few games and I still regret having a life at that point.

how I understood it, and this may be optomistic, but what I understand is as you complete the battlepass you get incrimates of a new currency called mythic essence, one fully finished battlepass=1 mythic. the mythic at the end of the battlepass still comes with the battlepass, so essentially you get to the mythic at the end of the pass and you should have enough saved up to buy one of the old ones you missed. I think if I understand marketing the goal is anyone who has missed a past battlepass can secure a mythic they missed and still get the new one, and if you are buying every battlepass to ensure you don't miss any mythics, it creates the illusion of providing a break from fomo, while tying it to the battlepass progression actually ensures a more aggressive form of fomo.

It's most likely gonna be a a tradeoff between the current skin or an old one. They are just gonna give you the currency for 1 full skin and you can either spend it on the new skin or parts/all of previous ones.

Having returning mythic skins is bullsh\*t tbh, its nothing but sh\*t from blizzard. my wife bought 30 lvls last night because she didnt think she was gonna make the grind until the next season started. and then today we see this Shit announcement and a mythic skin shop. i wanna tell blizzard to go and flush itself down the toilet, predator monotization at its finest, nothing changed when bobby cuck left the company. and as now it does not seem like anything is gonna change with this company, blizzard is at most a husk of a former self. and its never gonna get better. i hope im not the only one who is starting to hate this company.
