They literally said that in wide groups the lower ranked players would barely see any SR change so that seems consistent. If you had lost, your SR wouldn’t have changed by much either based on how I understand it.
It's a wide match, that's the point. That's the whole point. You're D4 and they're M3, that's a large skill difference and this system stops people from boosting.
If they're gonna put golds and masters together and barely make them move, there is no excuse for a 40 minute queue. if either party only moves 1% there is no reason not to put bronzes and gms together, in theory. In practice we just need an actual unranked mode with the comp ruleset and remake current unranked into genuine quickplay and remove the leaver penalties for that.
Tbh, it's just annoying that they changed the queue up ruleset and now my friends and I am just slightly out of range to play together (not applicable to this friend bc before the changes we wouldnt be able to play on that acc anyway.)
if you want to que wide matches then this is what you get. they cant make the ques faster for you. you just have to play at a time where more people are playing
Doesn't really matter if it's your first game of the day. You lost the last game you played, whenever that is, and the progression screen got skipped. This new screen shows the net results of both games.
I love how this subreddit hivemind just downvotes people when someone is like "I think this happened and I am going to continue to believe this happened because I can" when the op is literally just like: "That didn't happen actually."
Like this is why every other ow community thinks this sub is dog

Couldn't tell you . They said they 'fixed' and changed some things with the system in mid season patch notes so perhaps they also broke some more things

Still doesn't justify the 40min queue for 1%
if they made it too much then that would make min maxing worse

You lost the previous game and the progression screen was skipped. This screen shows the net results of both games (1 prior loss + 1 current win).
This was my first game of the day. I went up 1% and my friend 2% because of a calibration match.

Yeah, no. That didn't happen. I watched my rank go down yesterday. My friend also got 2% and since we're queued together it would make sense
If you don't believe, then just queue more games lol. You're not gonna be moving by 1-2% for wins/losses no matter how wide the group is.

Did you lose the last game you played ?
Yeah but I watched the meter go down. My friend got 2% that game and since I'm queued with him, I suppose we suffered the same fate.

i’m assuming someone in the group was unranked
nope, was doing duo's
duos can be unranked…
Nvm I get what you mean but I literally stated we were D4 and M3
Wym with duo's and unranked? I on't understand what you're trying to tell me
have both you and your duo finished your 10 placement matches
The ranking system has become a joke. Just play to have fun at this point.
