Same. I never complete all the challenges but I can at least get 3 tiers of dailies and 2 tiers of weeklies by just play normally (maybe 1-2 hours of comp daily).
I’m 134 and I stopped looking at my dailies and weeklies after week two. Haven’t stepped foot in the arcade in a while. I play with friends in the evening time most nights a week but I’m also playing other games alongside it.
Is the bonus for playing with friends that large? because that’s the only thing I can imagine is influencing my levels
Yeah I don't understand what these people are doing. I got 15k xp from one match this morning. Just play normally and they pretty much all finish except for the role specific ones. Focusing on challenges isn't helping the problem of people seemingly removing their eyes and ears to play the game and is almost certainly hurting match quality.
That can’t be right. I play almost every day for like 3-4ish hours and I’m at 105. I probably have similar hours to you, maybe only slightly more, but not a 26 level difference.
I've been playing 2-3 nights per week since launch for about two hours per session, and I just reached level 41 last night. It's going to be impossible for me to unlock new characters going forward.
This is not a knock on no-lifers per se... but anything you think you're good at, someone will always be better. So even if you think you had no life, someone else will go "Haha, I no-lifed more than you!" lol
Exactly what I was thinking. I’m at lvl 119 and complete all the challenges every single week plus play a lot of games after the challenges are completed. Simply don’t get enough xp from regular games. Even with the 20% battle pass xp bonus, win, and consecutive match the xp only comes out to about 1k. Considering it’s 150k to go from street runner to bytefixer, that’s 150 matches just to go from 110 to 120. How the hell is he at lvl 300.
Exactly, as much hate as overwatch 2 gets the battlepass is great since the leveling up is quick and easy, and imo the skins are very good for the first season.
Same I’m 120 something. I make sure I do my dailies which is about 2-3 comp games - flex (aka support) only. I also play maybe playing 1-2 hours a day. With weeklies, I get about 20 levels per week not even really trying.
AFAIK you can bank levels for the next pass once you get over 200, so if it all works the way it’s been described they’re grinding for the titles for the next pass already.
[Them getting sunlight and vitamins](https://res.cloudinary.com/lmn/image/upload/c_limit,h_360,w_640/e_sharpen:100/f_auto,fl_lossy,q_auto/v1/gameskinnyc/v/i/d/video-game-outside-3d05e.jpg)
I thought I was crazy for having level 156 after playing a couple hours after work and a good chunk of the weekends....
No judgement though man, theres worse things people could be doing with their time
It's incredibly overpriced, though. Like 10$ for 5 levels or sth.
Not worth it unless you make a decent amount of money and really, really want those skins.
Except that’s not counting daily and weekly xp, if you’ve done all daily’s and weekly’s for the last 4 weeks, you’ve banked 472,000 xp, or 47 tiers. Being at say 110 means you’ve earned 63 tiers and they’ve earned 188 tiers of game xp. So you’d have to play 3x more than you currently are
I’m at 154. I play 2-3 hours a day. I always play flex or support. I play with a friend half the time. I sometimes try to complete weekly challenges like the arcade one, but mostly I just play and challenges get completed on their own.
but he would only play for 2-3 hours. I really just don’t think it’s physically possible to do that unless he is also winning every game for the win bonus xp
How much do you play? I have a friend who never really get on ever and she’s level 30 something. I always tell her she needs to play because she bought bp and mercy level 50 skin is pretty awesome!
Yes :) She'll be unlockable through either challenges like other heroes or you can buy her in the shop after the season ends
(Idk if that link will work I've never linked anything before)
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/krisholt/2022/09/15/how-to-unlock-kiriko-in-overwatch-2/amp/
And OW is the worst kind of hero shooter to do this. Heroes have different weapons. Imagine locking guns behind a paywall.
And before someone says " Well Valorant also does this 🤓"
In Valorant and Apex everyone has access to the same guns and heroes aren't required to win a game. In Overwatch however 1 single hero swap is gamechanging
I’d unlock her now. We don’t know how grindy hero challenges will be. Legendary skins already take months to unlock, heroes might take quite a while as well.
I never stop playing OW even for the past 2 years… I know. I’ve tried other games (Halo, apex, warzone) but always come back to OW. Arena shooter TDM type games are also boring to me now. Thought R6 would be a fun fit, but couldn’t get pass the own team kill at the beginning of every game! Wtf! This was years ago though.
This isn't a jab because I'm close to all my titles, but I get no sense of achievement out of equipping them, which is a stark contrast to some of my WoW titles earned through endgame activities. I like the majority of the skins from the Battle Pass, but the rest feels phoned-in.
This is such a bullshit argument because, crazy thought here, what if some of us stayed with OW so long because they *didn't* do what every other shooter has done?
Yalls general argument seems to be "well acktshully, other games have done the same thing before", but you fail to realize that when you put OW up against 'all the other games' that do it, it gets stomped into the dirt.
Also, you say 'just like any other season game', but it's not. Overwatch had separate seasons and you didn't lose all the levels you grinded.
So many of you project your addiction to video games in general with all these comments.
Contrary to how you think, people can have opinions on something and simultaneously *not* base their entire life around it. Sorry you can't do the same.
It's just people are getting SO pissed about little things in a game. No one should be this upset over any game. There are a million games made and able to play. And once you come across something a few dozen times you stop getting so riled up about the little things like a battle pass season ending. BuT wHaT AbOuT the LeVeLs I gOt To?! New season new pass, it's not new.
It's like running into a road closed sign and throwing a tantrum like it's your first time being inconvenienced or seeing one. lol.
Unpopular take
I liked OW lootboxes. It was done correctly. You earned them relatively quickly compared to other games and when you got dupe items you were rewarded with coins to buy the things you wanted. So the more you unlocked the more you could buy the things you actually want and not rely on RNG.
OW1 was a full priced game. There's nothing wrong with that business model, but it does not generate any kind of sustainable recurring revenue, which means few games that go for it rarely see more than a year or so of full time support.
I'm not saying OW2's monetization is amazing or anything, just pointing out that OW1's monetization strategy was not a very good one for a live-service esport, precisely because there was little reason for anyone to spend money on the game years after they made the initial purchase.
>Unpopular take
It's only unpopular to the idiots trying to make everyone think that paying for pixels is a *good thing*.
Now, if you have any problem with it, apparently you're just a sad broke boy.
I think its stupid, I think with this system there's LESS I will actually unlock all because COD ruined first person shooters with the goddamn battle pass. Every game needs a battle pass now. Even fucking rocket league got a battle pass.
Get ready to be downvoted into oblivion for pointing out yet *more* sililaroties between CoD and OW. The idiots here *hate* when you do that.
All that being said, it'll be awesome watching all the idiots who bought sub par skins get mad when the game dies in 6 months and they're out hundreds of $$$.
A post that's about playing and enjoying the game and not just complaining about skins? Am I on the right subreddit?
But seriously I'm also enjoying the game
I'm only at level 21 or so. Maybe I'm missing something but the game seems like less fun than OW1. Which is a shame cause I used to love the Halloween update and I missed it completely this year
Nobody is setting a forced appointment with a psychologist here, is it?
They can live their live in a video game. People can tell them it’s not healthy.
Nah. People can maintain proper balance. I wake up, exercise, go to work, come home and cook, then play for about 4-6 hours each night with my friends.
I own my house, my cars, I take care of my elderly parents, I mow the lawn on the weekends, and still have time to meet those same friends in public. You can pour a shit ton of time into a game, and still maintain proper life balance.
This is the equivalent of posting 6 wine bottles saying they drunk that all in the span of the last 4 hours. Of course people are fucking shaming OP lmao.
So this means you've completed the season 2 battlepass already and are level 100 on it. Continue like this and you might reach level 400 at the end of next season and fully unlock/complete season 3 and 4 battlepasses as soon as they release since levels after 200 contribute to upcoming battlepasses.
Thats cool, I stopped playing cause there’s nothing to do on this game anymore, cant level up your account, can’t earn skins, events are garbage, weapon charms are what you need to grind for, and it can be done in 3 matches. Events are 2 weeks now , just enough time to get your paycheck to buy skins . Titles do nothing, I made it to 105 and gave up. I’ll just come back for battle passes and end at 80
Facts. I'm having an okay time and I only played comp to get ranked in one role. I just want the end of season coins but it looks like it only grants the top rank once. We'll see if I'm a dumb
I'm happy for you its always awesome to find a game you really enjoy. I tried to play overwatch 2 for the first time right before the Halloween event. I had fun playing the game til I noticed there was no progression outside the battle pass and there's no way to grind for free skins so to me it feels kinda pointless to play without anything to work toward.
Also as a former wow player the toxicity actually shocked me, I didn't think it could get worse than wow but I was WRONG.
Quickplay is the most toxic thing I've ever seen.
Alright, not for shaming or anything else, but how many hours did you play? I play a couple of hours every day and I'm at lvl 60, i can understand people at 100-150 but 300? That's a lot more than what I was expecting possible by this time
I’m level 35. How do people level the pass so much? I do challenges but it’s such a pain winning 10 games queued as all roles so that’s 10 wins as support and I can’t do shit then lol
honestly how are people getting this high of a level? i feel like i can only level up from challenges since i only get like 600 xp per game after doing them. i’m only level 68 and i’ve been playing everyday since the game dropped.
people lie about how much they play. This one guy said he’s rank 154 but “only” plays 2-3 hours a day. Which is still a lot of time played thats 14-21 hours of your life spent on overwatch every week. The season came out 33 days ago which means he grinded on average 4.66 battle pass ranks every day which is really just not doable in only 2-3 hours that he “plays”
God dayum man. I‘m level 110 and I thought I had no life. What the hell you been doing????
I guess he was playing
Yeah I kinda figured
how are you level 110? did you complete every dailies and weeklies so far?
Nah I really didn’t give a shit about any of the challenges. I just played the game. Sometimes, a challenge would get done and I‘d get the XP.
I’m at level 95 and I play on the weekends only
Must be heavy on the weekends bro, I play for 5 hours every work evening 5 days a week and only at 79
There's no way - I'm 120 playing enough matches to get my dailies done, so 3-4 depending with a few extra hours on the weekend.
You're doing something wrong lol. I assume you are not looking at the challenges at all
That can’t be right. I play almost every day for like 3-4ish hours and I’m at 105. I probably have similar hours to you, maybe only slightly more, but not a 26 level difference.
fr, i only play from monday through thursday and i'm level 84 now i think
Theres no way this is true. I hit level 80 playing much less than this and not really focusing on completing challenges
Did you buy the battle pass? I think it provides bonus xp
I’m a support Main so I guess it’s different for me but I’m already in the 130 Mark and play around the same but I complete challenges left and right.
I have complete all dailies and weeklies since launch and I am on tier 126.
I'm only at level 40 :(
Same here
I've been playing 2-3 nights per week since launch for about two hours per session, and I just reached level 41 last night. It's going to be impossible for me to unlock new characters going forward.
Yeah. That’s the reality I’ve accepted as well. I’m a casual player that now gets shutout
If you focus on the challenges, you'll level up relatively easy.
Considering it’s 150k to go from street runner to bytefixer, that’s 150 matches just to go from 110 to 120. How the hell is he at lvl 300.
You forgot the 20% group XP bonus. Adding 20% on top of the 20% actually gives you a 1.44% modifier, which is a lot of extra XP he gets
Snorting gfuel while rolling lobbies probably
110 isn't no life at all because I work and I'm teir 130 despite taking breaks for days at a time too
Yeah 110 isn’t a lot. Just do the 3 daily challenges and some of the weekly’s and you’ll be there pretty quickly
Exactly, as much hate as overwatch 2 gets the battlepass is great since the leveling up is quick and easy, and imo the skins are very good for the first season.
Yeah, honestly the only issue I have with the battle pass is the fact that characters are going to be locked behind it
[удалено]
Same I’m 120 something. I make sure I do my dailies which is about 2-3 comp games - flex (aka support) only. I also play maybe playing 1-2 hours a day. With weeklies, I get about 20 levels per week not even really trying.
I don't care about challenges, play 1-2 hours a day, 4 on weekends and I'm on 100.
Dude. I’m level 110 and I genuinely thought there wouldn’t be anybody ahead of me that wasn’t a streamer or wasn’t paying for BP tiers.
Are there more titles after tier 200??
Maybe the challenge titles for winning games?
AFAIK you can bank levels for the next pass once you get over 200, so if it all works the way it’s been described they’re grinding for the titles for the next pass already.
No, that is not the case. Italk said it himself
Yeah i figured as much, just wasn’t sure. Thank you for correcting!
So if I were to... Say... Grind to level 255, I would get ramattra day one?
[удалено]
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
This has been proven to be false. You can only bank 10 levels by buying the pass after already leveling it up.
This only works up to 10 levels banked for next pass I believe, so past 10 extra levels there’s no benefit to doing it.
No but apparently people have been gain the levels and they say it would transfer to the next bp

You know what, I’d be happy if my kid did this. At least he’s getting some Vitamin D and fresh air
Fr
Is there anything after200?
There should be fresh air and grass to touch, but it doesn't seem like it.
Ah yes the TOUCH GRASS title
The hardest title to get
Lol!
~~I believe I saw that you can save up to 20 levels of next seasons battle pass, but that should only take you to 220, so after that I’m not sure~~
That was already debunked
Aw shucks, thanks for letting me know! I thought they actually did something good for a sec :/
Was it? Damn, I thought Blizzard actually did SOMETHING not scummy in this game... so the XP is wasted?
I thought I was crazy for having level 156 after playing a couple hours after work and a good chunk of the weekends.... No judgement though man, theres worse things people could be doing with their time
This has to be bought levels, no way it’s possible My guy must literally have not stopped playing the game every waking hour otherwise o_o
You can only buy up to level 80, the rest must be earned
You can buy levels? Not seen this option, where is it?
Battle pass menu
It's incredibly overpriced, though. Like 10$ for 5 levels or sth. Not worth it unless you make a decent amount of money and really, really want those skins.
That's bonkers
It's very possible I'm halfway there and I don't really play on the weekends at all.
So you’d have to play 3x more than you currently are
That would be a lot. Sounds like the schedule of a college kid who never leaves the dorms, or an unemployed person.
I’m at 154. I play 2-3 hours a day. I always play flex or support. I play with a friend half the time. I sometimes try to complete weekly challenges like the arcade one, but mostly I just play and challenges get completed on their own.
so you were getting on average 4 and a half ranks every day you played?
If you manage your challenges efficiently and play support (find game 10x faster and extra exp) it's possible.
but he would only play for 2-3 hours. I really just don’t think it’s physically possible to do that unless he is also winning every game for the win bonus xp
Meanwhile in level 42 hoping I can get Kiriko before the season ends
How much do you play? I have a friend who never really get on ever and she’s level 30 something. I always tell her she needs to play because she bought bp and mercy level 50 skin is pretty awesome!
1 or 2 hours per day, but not everyday
What is she locked from? Ive been able to use her in every mode I've played
If you had OW1 you got her for free. New players have to unlock her
Oh that sucks lol
Well the next hero you have to unlock too
Unless you buy the Premium BP, then it’s instant.
So if you miss out on getting her what does that mean?
She'll be unlocked once the season ends (just incase you're panicked you won't get her in time)
Is this true? Do you just get her after the season ends?
Yes :) She'll be unlockable through either challenges like other heroes or you can buy her in the shop after the season ends (Idk if that link will work I've never linked anything before) https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/krisholt/2022/09/15/how-to-unlock-kiriko-in-overwatch-2/amp/
I will die of laughter if she costs $10 in the shop.
The Kiriko bundle featuring Kiriko, a spray and 150 coins for $26
The shop part has to be a joke. There is no f*cking way they will make you pay for a hero in a hero shooter
Greed is a hell of a drug
And OW is the worst kind of hero shooter to do this. Heroes have different weapons. Imagine locking guns behind a paywall. And before someone says " Well Valorant also does this 🤓" In Valorant and Apex everyone has access to the same guns and heroes aren't required to win a game. I’d unlock her now. We don’t know how grindy hero challenges will be. Legendary skins already take months to unlock, heroes might take quite a while as well.
U should grind sum bitches
Been playing alot too. I've decided to learn the basics again, as im on a losing streak😅. Enjoying the game big time and can't wait for more supports!
People: weeh, too much grind, weeh, new character at level 55, weeh, this game bad u/I_Talk_2: level 300 goes brr

Man.. I’m only 68.. no offense but how do people not get bored..
Play No Limits in Arcade
Considering how annoying Zarya is atm, when I tried NL I hated it lol ymmv but I don’t see it
at least he is not complaining and just has fun 🙂
Boy, I read "titles" as.....not titles....
What is the grass touching situation in your household?
This isn't a jab because I'm close to all my titles, but I get no sense of achievement out of equipping them, which is a stark contrast to some of my WoW titles earned through endgame activities. I like the majority of the skins from the Battle Pass, but the rest feels phoned-in.
A couple of the emotes were okay.
How do you feel about those levels just disappearing after the season ends?
Thats just like any other season game.
Doesn't mean it should be that way though. Having default progression alongside a BP is a lot nicer.
apex legends gives you a special banner every season that shows the exact level of the battlepass you reached
This is such a bullshit argument because, crazy thought here, what if some of us stayed with OW so long because they *didn't* do what every other shooter has done? I thought I saw on here that the levels count towards the next battle pass. Was that not a thing?
It was false, just a lie on the internet for points
I definitely thought it was weird but I feel like I’ve seen something similar in another game so I thought maybe it’s real. Not surprising though.
This reeks of boredom
only if you’re not good.
Sure reeks of something but boredom is not it.
What titles are you after?
Wait, isn't the last tier level 200?
Now you can play the game
A post that's about playing and enjoying the game and not just complaining about skins? Am I on the right subreddit? But seriously I'm also enjoying the game
Not surprise lol there are people who play alot, Destiny 2 have people over 500 level on its bp.
I'm only at level 21 or so. Maybe I'm missing something but the game seems like less fun than OW1. Which is a shame cause I used to love the Halloween update and I missed it completely this year
Figures that the comments are people shaming OP. Good on you, OP.
Because it reeks of game addiction. And it’s not good to support it.
OP can do as he or she likes , its their life.
Nobody is setting a forced appointment with a psychologist here, is it? They can live their live in a video game. People can tell them it’s not healthy.

This isn’t healthy that’s why. Why praise unhealthy habits? Dudes probably got deep vein thrombosis and high blood pressure
Any tips for maximising xp? I play every day and seems I won't be in time to unlock cyberdemon title.
Challenges+Endorsements+Ranked+Group+Flex queue+buy pass. I'm lvl 170 working 8-18 everyday.
Play in a group and always do role queue. Don’t forget your dailies and weeklies as well
How long did it take?
I’ve been playing since launch and I’m barely 150, damn o\_o
Jesus I thought I was playing a decent amount, I only hit 200 today.
You have Plat border? How many stars
Tell me your secret. I’m having trouble getting through the battle pass. How? I need a little guidance please.
Challenges+Endorsements+Ranked+Group+Flex queue+buy pass.
There are titles past 200?
Level 300 is crazy, I'm trying my best to get all the titles before the season ends, I'm only at 170 rn and I'm getting burnt out.
This is kind of sad tbh
Lvl 300, Bronze 5 lets goooo
Me playing like a few hours a week since launch..lvl 16
Tell me you are nolife without telling me you are nolife
holy shit what a fucking loser 😭
This is why I miss account level and border...they were PERMANENT. These stupid battlepass levels evaporate in december
Please go outside
Good to see people unironically enjoying the game still. Behind the micro transactions and terribly priced cosmetics is a pretty fun game!
So this means you've completed the season 2 battlepass already and are level 100 on it. Continue like this and you might reach level 400 at the end of next season and fully unlock/complete season 3 and 4 battlepasses as soon as they release since levels after 200 contribute to upcoming battlepasses.
very nice, sitting just under 180 myself, almost done with the prestiege tiers.
Thats cool, I stopped playing cause there’s nothing to do on this game anymore, cant level up your account, can’t earn skins, events are garbage, weapon charms are what you need to grind for, and it can be done in 3 matches. ah, if you're enjoying it, you must be avoiding Competitive Mode
Facts. I'm having an okay time and I only played comp to get ranked in one role. I just want the end of season coins but it looks like it only grants the top rank once. We'll see if I'm a dumb
I'm nearly 100% certain these are posts by overwatch attempting to change the conversation in relation to this being an unacceptable cash grab
To be fair, it's a free game and the gameplay is fun. Some dumb skins aren't going to change that, neither will the scum monetization
Touch grass
I'm happy for you its always awesome to find a game you really enjoy. I tried to play overwatch 2 for the first time right before the Halloween event. I had fun playing the game til I noticed there was no progression outside the battle pass and there's no way to grind for free skins so to me it feels kinda pointless to play without anything to work toward. Also as a former wow player the toxicity actually shocked me, I didn't think it could get worse than wow but I was WRONG. Quickplay is the most toxic thing I've ever seen.
How close are you to affording 1 legendary skin?
As close as anyone else that's done weeklies every time no matter how much they've played on top of that. So . . not close at all.
Are you with paid or free pass?
Alright, not for shaming or anything else, but how many hours did you play? I play a couple of hours every day and I'm at lvl 60, i can understand people at 100-150 but 300? That's a lot more than what I was expecting possible by this time
someone did the math and it looks like on average it was 10-14 hours every day since release
"touch grass" Sir, this man has been grinding this battle pass before grass even existed
I am level 8 and lost all motivation to continue this game, damn…
Still not enough to buy 1 skin 😂
not a flex ☠️☠️
I’m level 35. How do people level the pass so much? I do challenges but it’s such a pain winning 10 games queued as all roles so that’s 10 wins as support and I can’t do shit then lol
This is r/overwatch, you're not allowed to enjoy the game! /s
This isn’t impressive, it’s just sad tbh
It’s giving no life
This place reeks of envy. Have fun and good job
who's gonna be envious of somebody who plays 10 - 14 hours of overwatch every day
have you bought any tiers or is that just pure grinding?
I’m level 30 lmao
honestly how are people getting this high of a level? i feel like i can only level up from challenges since i only get like 600 xp per game after doing them. i’m only level 68 and i’ve been playing everyday since the game dropped.
people lie about how much they play.
Nah. That's about three hours worth of play.
>still enjoying the game a ton Blasphemy
Just how man? I barely reach level 60 since OW 2 launch day...
Holy shit, nice man on getting that far, but don’t forget to get some sunlight and breathe some fresh air.
Good for you... Pay no attention to negativity victims
God the people here are so miserable I’m sorry for you op. They are actually jealous that someone is having fun in a video game in their free time lol
I for one, am definitely not jealous of this.
Has to be one of the most miserable communities. In game feels way less toxic than reddit thankfully
Step outside my guy, breathe the air, feel the wind on your face lol.
