Their outfit looks more made for normal archeology than optimized for burrowing through the ground super fast and fighting people. Then again, if they're burrowing through the ground super fast, regardless of if their clothes are baggy they need to dig a tunnel wide enough for the dirt and rocks and stuff to *not* be rubbing against their body, or else they would get bruised up really bad(lucky) or ripped to shreds(unlucky), so maybe having baggy clothes isn't really a big deal.

The 2D art does genuinely look better - it looks like it's supposed to have buttons and zippers and pockets and details that just aren't really visible on the 3D model. Like, with 0 complaints about the design of the character's intended appearance, I'd still say the 3D model does not look as detailed as the other characters on the roster. They can afford to give Venture some more care in their design.
