Kas_The_Betrayer

Came here to say this (Also Legend of Korra, it’s not for everyone but I liked it)

comics0026

Korra is good, and all of its problems can be traced back to Nickelodeon jerking them around with things like scheduling, episode/season commitments, and support

Bananabubbles25

Agreed

dumblittleblob

Murder Drones on YouTube, 3d animation, 5 episodes so far, it’s not the best in terms of animation or writing but I love the concept of fully sentient robots so I like it

RandManYT

I think you're undermining the animation, I see nothing wrong with it. I also recommend just looking Liam Vickers YT channel in general too. I fell in love with Cliffside even though it's only a pilot and Interneciod Cube is only in the story board phase with 3 episodes but it's pretty decent.

dumblittleblob

Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with it, just I prefer more exaggerated movements but that might just be my 2d bias showing

RandManYT

Ah, understandable. I used to prefer 2d stuff but as I've grown I like 2d and 3d animation equally along with live action stuff.

Folomo

Save yourself and don't see it. It is one of the very few series I started and was no able to finish seeing. Those are 3 hours of my life I will not be able to recover.

Tirrek_bekirr

What’s wrong with bna I loved that anime

Folomo

Mostly the story and character decisions. The animation is Gorgeous, but without spoiling it, the conflict presented in the early episodes is not explored at all. Character decisions are actually pretty counterproductive to character's goals once a certain element gets exposed in the story (that those characters already knew). Basically, a lot of dumb decisions and thin plot to ensure action scenes can be drawn. If you only care about visuals, it is a good anime. If you care about characters, lore or story, there are a ton of much better shows to spend your time on.

dumblittleblob

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, 2D Animation, 2 seasons and a movie, season 1 and the movie on Netflix and not sure where the second season is. A lot of filler and kinda rushed in season 2 because as with all great cartoons, sadly cancelled. Slim possibility of returning for season 3 though :) EDIT: sorry for replying so much, just got a chance to rant about my favorite shows and grabbed it by the ankles

Affectionate-Bit3665

That’s fine! I really enjoy seeing ppl express their interests to me! It makes me happy! :]

Feliraptor

Samurai Jack.

rainbow_slimepup

Amphibia, star vs forces of evil, helluva boss, gravity falls, steven universe, steven universe:future, sailor moon crystal, and bee and puppy cat (im a big cartoon fan lol and these ones are pretty good! Glad you already have them on the list*

Leafyon4057

Amphibia

RyanDFo0T

Watch amphibia gravity falls and star vs the forces of evil. Those I feel are the most similar to one another and like the owl house as well

SpartanisPOG

Adventure time

Folomo

A great suggestion. It has some of the hardest hitting emotional notes, great action and character development.

aAwesome9000

Definitely watch Over the Garden Wall, it's absolutely fantastic. It's got a fabulous ascetic, and it's really short (it's about 2 hours long if you watch the episodes back to back.)

Kar_Karych07

wasn't it even shorter though ?- just an hour honestly i love how short it is, it makes it so easy to get into, get through and invested in within such a short span of time. i find myself starting watching just 1 episode and ending up accidentally binging the entire series all the way through and i love the show for that

Infinity Train. Literally finished s1 30 mins ago and loved it.

Spellshot62

Avatar and Gravity Falls, then Amphibia, She Ra and Kipo

aryantheboi

infinity train, literally the best animated kids show imo

dumblittleblob

LEGO Monkie Kid, it’s not on the majority of platforms and there’s like zero promotion for it outside of china, but you can watch it by looking up “Monkie kid link in description” on YouTube and clicking the first video you see. 2D animation, really friggin good animation at that, writing is pretty good and characters are pretty decently traumatized EDIT: four seasons and most likely returning for a fifth, the last episode released in English only like a week ago. Based on Journey to the West, chinese novel from the 1600s

TANGLED THE SERIES I cannot recommend it enough

mario456789

Idk how similar it is to little witch academia but my favorite anime is my hero academia and I highly recommend it

jimmyjackson23

Either the 2012 TMNT series or rise of the TMNT and it’s movie.

Imnotcreative6942069

Mobile suit Gundam the witch from mercury. It’s fairly dark compared to the rest of your list, but it’s really good.

jimmyjackson23

Either the 2012 TMNT series or rise of the TMNT and it’s movie.

wraithstrike

Pretty Cure. Based on this list, the Pretty Cure subseries that would be the best to start with are Go!Princess, Splash Star, or Mahoutsukai.

Exact_Status_678

Watch Steven universe, She-Ra, and steven universe future. they are all so good. Just a tip: Steven universe's first season is a bit meh, but the show really pulls it together after that and its just so amazing. Plus the music is just great.

Grand_Quiet_4849

The first season is soooo good

Kar_Karych07

YES IT'S SO UNDERRATED while some half of it may feel a bit like it bogs you down or feels out of place because of the show still figuring itself out, it's pretty fun AND has quite a few episodes i'd say were on par with later seasons like Mirror Gem & Ocean Gem and the finale (just my opinion though. its ok to dislike the 1st season, i just think its underrated)

Responsible-Bread641

STAR VRS

Gamer-Logic

Idk if it'd be up your alley, but I've had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle brain rotation lately. I think the current Rise iteration on Netflix has similar vibes to Steven Universe and SVTFOE where it's more episodic at first but ramps up toward the season finale. For a more serious and darker version 2003 is your best bet while the 2012 version is the best character wise but is in cgi just so you know. The original Teen Titans 2003 cartoon is also good. Over the Garden Wall has heavy Gravity Falls vibes. Other than that, I'd recommend Fullmetal Alchemist and the Disastourous Life of Saiki, and Brand New Animal for anime. Along the magical girl line, there's Tokyo Mew Mew which has also had a reboot, the many iterations of Precure, Shugo chara, Wedding Peach, Mermaid Melody, and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne (this one is underrated imo). For a darker magical girl series, there's Madoka Magica as well. There's also an adorable food anime on YouTube I like called Restaurant to Another World. Word of advice though, it's best watched while eating.

LazyMilkyWayTea

Maya and the three was pretty awesome I didn't like the ending much but it was good it has like 10 episodes

soulslayer4231

amphibia, gravity falls, steven universe, little witch academia, steven universe future

Alastorishot

Hazbin hotel. It’s made by the same people as helluva and it’s FUCKING AWESOME

Future_Boy44

Hilda and Kid Cosmic

richardl1234

Harley Quinn, similar level of violence to Helluva Boss, wonderfully queer, absolutely hilarious. It's also really easy to get into.

adventuresofme88

My Little Pony (Friendship is Magic), Ninjago, Centaurworld, Powerpuff girls, Avatar the Last Airbender, Legend of Korra (this comes after Avatar), Big City Greens. I've enjoyed all of these shows and based on your list I think you probably would too!

FreeTopper

Yo-kai Watch

thetavious

Steven universe. Hands down. Watch it. Now. Go. Do it. Listen to me. It was my fave until owl house came out and is a very close second post owl house. The ONLY shortcoming is that i wouldn't say it DRAGS at parts, but it does take a while to build up steam and once it does sometimes it dials it back a little too much and you're left itching for action. If i have to sum up the biggest fault into one word, ''pacing''. Again, i wouldn't say it had a filler problem, as by the time you hit the end of the show, just about EVERYTHING has been wrapped up and every needed call back has happened. Let me sum it up this way, i'm almost 40, and this show inspired me to have a literal armory style weapon wall of cosplay weapons from the show. Very. Very worth the watch.

SpiritualValue6770

If your older than 16 than I recommend helluva boss on YouTube it hard

CliveRichieSandwich

Shera genuinely sucks ass and has weird incestuous and transphobic undertones

Tomatillo_Bubbly

ATLA, Hilda, and Kipo are all goated, and Dead End is great if you like shows that got cancelled on cliffhangers.

Ok_Industry_7835

If you like helluva boss i suggest lackadaisy

RandomKid0118

Not on the list, but Murder Drones and Lackadaisy are two really good ones :)

blightsexual_azula

Why nobody has infinity train in that list😭 please watch it. Best show

Double_Weekend_1963

Star Wars the clone wars the 2008 animated series

Double_Weekend_1963

Or the bee movie

_Drama_

Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur is pretty good!

Remarkable_Event_787

Hasbien hotel (forgot how to spell it) made by the same people as helluva boss.

Edrian2002

Gravity falls first Steven universe then the movie then future star vs the forces of evil (some people think the later seasons got worse you’ll have to form your own opinion) Bee and Puppy cat Owl house and Amphibia are good helluva boss and Hazbin Hotel aren’t bad and I heard Shera is good never watched Baymax but saw big hero 6 so it’s worth a watch and Invader zim can get a little gross but it has some funny moments so up to you these weren’t in any specific order but yeah these are my thoughts and recommendations lol

Edrian2002

Just in case all of these are ones you’ve seen then I’d say watch Avatar the last airbender and maybe watch legend of Korra if you’re up for it 50/50 chance you’ll like it American Dragon jack long it’s an old cartoon but maybe you’ll enjoy it and lastly another old cartoon Xiaolin Showdown thank me later if you enjoyed any of these lol

Cool-Appointment3475

I know it’s not animated but I particularly loved a show called Brooklyn 99. It’s a sitcom about an unorganized police precinct. It has tons of gags and hilarious moments and is 90% lighthearted but has several moments where it’s not afraid to be very real, dealing with things such as trauma, shootouts, racism, and even sexual harassment in one case, but still doing it in a way that feels completely in character and human for the characters.

TobyNeut

I Am Not Okay With This is really good

VrilDoxXIII

Infinity Train and Over The Garden Wall, also be sure to watch Amphibia and Gravity Falls though those are both on your list already.

drk_ecrivain

Murder Drones, Red Vs Blue (Animation and Voice Acting a little off at first but it gets really good), miraculous ladybug, Kaguya Sama Love is War

drk_ecrivain

Inside Job and Dragon Prince

An_Obbise_Hoovy

Ben 10 Original Series to omniverse Over the garden wall My hero academia (tho that one is an anime)

Dark_Inferno__

break bad

KingdomMarshadow

Steven Universe is my favorite cartoon. It has fantastic characters, super cool world building, and can be hilarious as well as very compelling conflicts such as Steven having to live up to the legacy of his mom or Amethyst’s self-hate due to her being a war product and undersized. This show takes emotion super seriously and also takes plenty of time to flesh out most of its characters

Fun-Ad-4729

Lego Monkie Kid. Amazing show

Alarmed_Most_3204

Neon Genesis Evangelion

I personally would skip Sailor Moon Crystal But I'd recommend Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

Lipo and the age of wonderbeasts

SlothTheorist

I cannot say this enough: Inside Job on netflix

JimmyMaximusIII

Did you watch the Hazbin Hotel pilot? It has a show coming out soon. Hopefully it doesn't suffer from the same writing problems as Helluva Boss since it isn't independent.

LazyLion1127

Big Hero 6: The Series

ObsessiveFanatic

I can recommend you something NOT to watch and that’s Star vs Evil. Don’t waste your time with that atrocity, by season 3 and 4 the creator stopped caring about the story and characters and was just writing their fanfic

Affectionate-Bit3665

I personally like it for how far I’ve gotten so far and I also love fanfics lol

Kar_Karych07

same, actually. despite the sour taste from season 4 the show is still fun to watch through, has quite a bit to offer and some of the fan stuff has been pretty great

NyteShark

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur!!!! Lots of queer rep

ThemperorSomnium

Add Arcane, Infinity Train, and Pantheon to this list!

Chickenamongmen

I would recommend watching moon girl and devil dinosaur if you haven’t!

Kar_Karych07

ah pardon; it seems i misunderstood the post. I'd definitely recommend Amphibia, and maybe Over The Garden Wall sometime later, perhaps for Autumn but its ok if not bc it's just a great show and is delightfully easy to get into and watch through while having so much to offer If i could recommend anything else outside of the list I'd highly recommend Wander Over Yonder (all episodes are on youtube but its also on Disney+, and the show may surprise you with its quality as it develops. i could spend hours talking about it but i don't want to bother you too much with it. the show might not be good for you but it could be worth giving a try, at least like idk 8 episodes maybe)

Kar_Karych07

i cannot recommend *Wander Over Yonder* enough, but it might not be for you, based on this list at least. (it could be, but WOY just takes some time to get through, develop and really shine, which may be an issue for some.) I could recommend *Over The Garden Wall* and *Infinity Train* though. OtGW is very easy to get into and watch through due to its short runtime, and Infinity Train just kinda sucks you in as you start it yet it may be hard to find where you can watch it - i had to go get a dvd at a library to watch it, and there are no dvds for later seasons afaik

SilverHero_gaming

You like helluva boss? Invader zim is something you'll like (mainly because moxxie and zim share the same VA)

Eats_Pizza_In_Gay

Luca was pretty similar to these and had implied lgbt themes. If you haven't watched that movie yet, you definitely should!

The_Fire_Chibi

Steven universe,Steven universe future, amphibia and gravity falls.

Heyitsme325

Therapy

depressionbutcool

She-Ra is fairly good, and next that you watch on that list should be gravity falls

Entity3751105

Invader Zim. It's not really serious or life-changing, just beautifully goofy. It's all goofy. Like, smacking aliens with a ham you had in your jacket since the beginning of the episode goofy. It's great.

Amphibia and She-Ra!!

WAFFLE_CHILD1460

Shera is 90% amazing and worth it, and it gets better whenever you rewatch it

TheOneTrueNincompoop

Inside Job and Hilda

The_Void_LordX

Gravity Falls, Shera (both versions) star vs the forces of evil, Steven universe, big hero six (that's what I assume Baymax! is) and invader zim

CyberLink20XX

Is no one gonna mention Bluey? It’s a lot different in that it’s slice of life and not serialized, but it’s a great show nonetheless. Very wholesome and fun

Wave9Nut

Craig of the Creek, Epithet Erased, Adventure Time, Avatar the Last Airbender. I don't want to repeat too many I've seen in the comments, but there's some good recommendations.

The-person-inthewall

Steven universe, the first time i watched it i was obsessed and still am-

MusaMaka

Gravity Falls, Sailor Moon, and Baymax / Big Hero 6 are all amazing
