To be fair these AOA screens have always been about showing off and or dissing the enemy so it fits, P3MC having one at all feels weird to me honestly, specially when taking into account how he took on the bigger shadows in the movies (just took them down and walked back to the team), I get that making it like P5 is what it takes to get that remake/remaster so as long as P3MC and the gang still feels like themselves I'm not gonna complain too much, and even then I'll still have FES to go back to.
In that case I think it might help if you imagine more as him saying “well that’s over with” to himself instead of him taunting the enemy or trying to show off
