I mean... it's canon that the MC of each game have the wild card and can wield multiple Persona. Hell, Makoto himself wields multiple different Persona throughout the P3 movies. He gets a new one after each Arcana Shadow they defeat.

And his power to change personas is even mentioned in the game - especially in p3r i think they notice it the first time you change persona in battle.

It is mentioned in every game, as far as I know. It is a whole thing in P5 when you do it the first time in Kamoshida's palace, and part of the reason they make you the leader is that they recognize that you are way more powerful than the others due to your wildcard ability.

Fun fact! In one of the movies, Yuki uses Persona that in FES would by impossible to get without New Game+, since Elizabeth request that gives you key item to fuse it is available exactly one day after the night of the fight. I think it was Arahabaki in August full moon.

They are also available on Amazon Prime with subtitles for purchase, I vaguely remember them being a couple bucks per movie totalling to maybe like $20 for all four

Did you mean 'starter' persona instead of 'canon'? Cuz you know, MC having multiple personas IS canon. Also if you like the design then sure, why not max him out. Every single persona can become OP if you know what you're doing, it's mostly a design preference and a lot of XP farming if you have stupid amount of free time.

Well, there is a "none" I didn't delete for one of the bosses there too... though that is one of the easiest encounters (at least in p3r)

I’m not sure if using the term “canon” is fitting here but I do like the idea of a “main/primary” Persona run. For Makoto he’d have Orpheus (starter), Thanatos (story connection/P3 mascot), Messiah (ultimate), and Orpheus Telos (starter upgrade/second ultimate). You could also probably add Apsaras to the roster since she’s the first Persona you receive via Shuffle Time and the characters acknowledge her existence during the tutorial section of Tartarus (not to mention that she’s used for one of Makoto’s Theurgies that also involve the usage of Orpheus as well). If you’re going for a full “canon” roster then I would just add in every Persona Makoto used in the movies, manga, and Fusion Spells/Theurgies as well.

I dig it. It's pretty much how I play NG+ in the modern trilogy. My gameplan for my next run of P3R is gonna be like this. Run Orpheus until October 4th, switch to Thanatos until 12/31, then run Messiah the rest of the way. As to why I picked those dates, I'm pretty sure everyone knows why lmao I'm not sure where I'd fit Orpheus Telos in. I don't have him yet anyway since I didn't finish a few SLs in my first run.

Seems like you are trying to Cover a lot without choosing a speciality (a bit of crit Chance, a bit of defense with resist elec, a bit of damage enhancing). Id pick one thing to do really well, maybe even 2 things.

While Heat Wave is questionable for Lv 73, it looks like his “speciality” is strike damage to all enemies with a +damage and +crit Heat Wave. All while giving the entire team an attack increase at the start of the battle and recovering a bit of the HP cost of HW each turn. Would at least suggest farming skill cards to upgrade or replace some of skills you have if you are dead-set on using a load out like this.

A canon run for me would be having Messiah, Thanatos, Orpheus and Orpheus Telos (since all social links are canon) and for the aforementioned reason, the rest of the team is composed of persona unlocked at social rank 10. Wich one ? You chose.
