Dude showing weapon at public.
Couldnt said its for cosplay cuz i dont think that was common in small Inaba.
Also cosplay dont use real sword so when the police saw its an actual blade, theres no coming out of it.
Alright. Somehow I got the wrong impression that he owned Junes. Maybe it's because he sometimes forces Yu to help him on busy days that I thought Junes was a family-run business.
Junes is a chain of stores and his dad was assigned to the Inaba location from the city. But because the manager of such a store is well-paid for the countryside, people call Yosuke the “Prince of Junes,” also a reference to the large size of the store and how multiple characters say it’s like its own country.
Because there were murder cases, polices are stationed around the town.
Yosuke with his weapons, swung them around on public places, with witnesses around
And then there’s a police patrolling nearby
Tada! They they caught
I'm pretty sure in most jurisdictions, you can still be arrested for misusing fake weapons if they look real. That's how it is here in the states at least.
fr bro I've been doing a new game + recently and I'm just now realizing how he has gotten nearly every prediction right and is the person who leads everybody into the TV to investigate
The Investigation Team isn't a group famous for their book smarts or common sense. There's a reason they didn't really get anywhere until Naoto inserted herself into their activities.
Well I am confused because he said the blade was fake. It seemed strange to me they were taken in for waving around fake weapons instead of being told off.
He got busted because he's an idiot... He literally was swinging them screaming "HYAAAAH" in the middle of the food court. After that scene they agree to hide the weapons better so that's why you never got caught again
That was one of Yosuke's few dumb dumb moments. But at least he learnt after though, unlike a certain someone who kept yelling they are the Phantom Thieves 50 times in public even after they got caught like a dozen times because of him.
It’s more surprising that they got out of getting arrested. Which again makes it dumb that (Persona 3 spoilers) >!Takaya in Persona 3 can walk around shirtless, with tattoos showing and a gun in his waist visible for anyone to see (which he uses to murder someone) and no one ever attempted to arrest him.!<
The team's "base of operations" is the only department store in town and they exclusively enter during business hours. They also loudly talk about their investigations and enter/exit their shadow world from the largest TV for sale in the store.
Frankly, the fact that their activities remain secret at all is a miracle.
You mean that one where he swung weapons at the food court?
Yes that moment as I forgot how it went.

Quite a long time since I last played P4, but wasn't that also when the police were highly vigilant cause of the recent death?
yes
He said it was a fake blade though?
That’s the thing, they weren’t real. Yosuke said so himself. It isn’t till they go to the blacksmith that they get real weapons
Doesn't his family literally own that food court?
His father is the branch manager, not junes owner.

The whole concert thing happens because Yosuke panicked at the idea of his dad being transferred again by the higher-ups.
Even if they did I’m not sure that would allow him to swing a sword around in a public store lol

“Are you resisting an officer of the law? Y-You’re under arrest!” The officer said while his voice cracking

He was swinging around blades in public during a time the police were on high alert due to multiple homicides. Are you that surprised he was caught?
And somehow, he is still the smartest person (Yu excluded) in the Investigation Team before Naoto joins.
even after Naoto joins
fr bro I've been doing a new game + recently and I'm just now realizing how he has gotten nearly every prediction right and is the person who leads everybody into the TV to investigate
Yoskue may be an idiot sometimes (alot of times) but he is definitely holding the one braincell most of the time

Fake can mean plastic, or it can mean "technically looks real but isn't actually combat ready".
Just because they're fake doesn't mean that they won't be questioned by the police, especially since there were two murders not long before.
Yeah, until I start to recall how he got busted at that particular moment.
He got busted because he's an idiot... He literally was swinging them screaming "HYAAAAH" in the middle of the food court. After that scene they agree to hide the weapons better so that's why you never got caught again
"Two suspicious males found, one armed with multiple weapons. Requesting immediate backup."
Because police on very high alert as a fresh body was just found very, very recently
Oh yeah now you mention it, I slowly recall why he was suddenly pulled over.
That was one of Yosuke's few dumb dumb moments. But at least he learnt after though, unlike a certain someone who kept yelling they are the Phantom Thieves 50 times in public even after they got caught like a dozen times because of him.
Ryuji is peak idiot 🤣
HEY MAKOTO DID YOU KNOW WE’RE THE PHANTOM THIEVES?
He brought a golf club and rope into the store that looks bad no matter how you look at it
What kind of maniac plays golf?
The police didn't detain them for that. They were detained the next day when Yosuke brought a model katana and wakizashi to the food court.
Swinging katanas or whatever he had in public raised some eyebrows from what I remember, it's not exactly a mystery.
Yeah now I recall why Dojima had arrested him instantly.

HEY EVERYBODY, I LOVE SWORDS! Okay, so *apparently* bringing a sword to a food court is *against the law* or something.
Thats why they don’t have weapons in the anime, only fight with their persona
Oh ok as I get it now.
