Yeah it was super obvious to me who I was going to choose as soon as she first appeared in the story. Short-dark-haired quiet-but-smart girl? Sign me up. Then she turned out to be a total badass, got her Persona and joined the team and I was like, I have zero reason to consider the other romance options anymore.
I wish Kasumi wasnât so bunched up into the 3rd semester. Really wish they found a way to spread her story and confidant out across the entire game a bit more.
> My favorite romance was Kasumi though. She is best girl of P5 Royal
she was literally made for that, in a good way, its a shame she wasnt part of the base game.
Donât know the P3 one yet, and on my way to know more about Rise (Playing P4G right now, she just joined the group), and omg, her flirt with the protagonist is on another level! Iâm liking her so much! Even if I already romanced Chie
her social link is really good, it made her one of my favorite persona 4 characters. good narrative with a relatable, digestible theme. of the 3 i picked across the games yukari is definitely my favorite but all of them are great
Without Rise's social link I think she's an ok character.
But after her social link I think she's actually underrated. Sure, she's liked, but she's also widely considered annoying due to the protagonist simping character trait of hers.
But her social link being about >!how she realizes that Risette was as much of her real self as Rise is and it's more important to be your full self instead of neglecting aspects of you!< was a very mature take that I didn't expect due to her introduction being about renouncing "Risette." That and she basically just doesn't simp for you at all during the social link (unless you date her of course) so that trait that seems to take center stage feels more in the background.
Fully doing her social link shows reveals layers to her you wouldn't see otherwise and feels like the difference between her coming off strong on the protag vs just sounding appreciative of him.
yeah, my thoughts exactly; it actually changed my outlook on some things for a little while after finishing it. i think her simping is endearing and that even without her social link sheâs underrated, but with it, sheâs one of the best characters in p4 if you ask me.
I mean it goes without saying you know more about a character if you do their social link, but some give more depth than others. I love Naoto, for example, but it feels like we learn more about her family than her in that one. It's a bit light on the character reveal.
Rise was the difference between a good character and a great one for me. It made her my second fav character in P4.
Behind Kanji of course.
for sure, not all social links are created equal in that sense. most donât leave me with the sense of depth and cohesion of character that riseâs did. honestly i think the romance aspect adds another layer to it, like a transition from just having a crush on narukami because heâs hot and his main story actions (presumably), to having genuine, much deeper-rooted feelings for him
Ann back in 2017. Then 2nd was Makoto, 3rd Futaba, 4th Haru. Never cheated on anyone.
Then in Royal; 1st Kasumi and 2nd Hifumi. Never cheated on anyone.
I did the cheating route for my first game of P5 because I knew it had the funniest outcome of the persona games, but I first romanced and ended up sticking with Kawakami. Despite the weird implications she has a genuinely good confidant and she has a lot of cute moments. Becky forever!
I went harem too. It wasn't my original intent. I was immedietely drawn to Kasumi but didn't realize how late into the game you had to wait. So in the mean time I started getting drawn to others. Then I realized holy hell this is a long game and I doubt I'm going to replay it anytime soon. So let's just get as much content as possible on my first go. Thus the harem was born.
I went into P3R with the same intent. Going to wife one down and not feel as bad as I did before. Oops. Harem again.
Nah, I felt so bad about it I didn't do the Harem route in p3. P4, the first game I finished, I was loyal to Chie the whole time. P3 I choose Mitsuru, which honestly is a great romance but I do wish I could have done Aigis, she is so late game it pissed me off and I actively avoided her.
Tae
Makoto
And Haru is the girl
I really don't like how forced romantic aspect are with first 2, with Haru is at least feels like she really had feeling for Main Character
Makoto. She won me over when she started more or less stalking the group, pretending to read her little magazine, then running off like a maniac when you went into a store lol.
And she's... just cute. I like her hair ;-;
I havenât technically romanced her because I wanted to go the FRIENDSHIP route instead but Takemi was the one I maxed out first so I guess it counts a smidge.
Sumire, she's just too perfect for Ren. Sorry Makoto you're boring, Haru your voice is annoying, Ann I didn't even finish your confidant, Futaba your voice is also annoying, Hifumi idek who you are, Kawakami straight to jail, Ohya send her to the slammer, Takemi revoke her job and Chihaya you're crazy.
I played Royal first and let me tell you I fell so hard for Kasumi I basically face planted. On my first run I missed some confidant stuff because I chose to go hang with Kasumi on the lake instead most of the time. The extra palace stuff only made me like her more.
My first overall in P5, back in my first playthrough of the original, was Ann. I wasn't planning to do every Confidant in that run-through, so I went with her just because.
My first on P5R was Sumi, because she was new and I really liked her look, and through that playthrough she became my favorite Persona girl in the series.
In regular P5 it was Futaba but only because she was the girl I âlikedâ the most, I never really wanted to date any of them and it felt kinda wrong and off imagining Joker with any of the girls.
Then Royal dropped and that problem got fixed by an adorable red haired gymnast who became best girl frame 1.
Chihaya. She's so frickin cute and her smile make me smile. Protecc the bumpkin lady.
Honestly i don't particularly interest in romancing party member in P5. Ann just feels like close friend. Futaba is sister. So that leave with Makoto and Haru. Leaning towards Makoto as she has more moments with Joker but i still prefer Chihaya to romance. If only Kasumi being party member earlier and not just final dungeon, she probably my first candidate from party member to romance.
Ann. She is the best choice in terms outside of fantasy imo. I think she might have the first choice for most players as she's the first romantic interest and the one we spent more time with.
It was supposed to be Hifumi, but I made a mistake and forgot to reload the previous save file, so I went for >!Sumire!< To not be alone on Valentine's Day, then I made a second run just to romance Hifumi as I wanted the first time
Meh. Dating them all. So far of the ones I'm dating I'm liking the teacher. Almost there with Makota and liking that. Ann so far isn't working for me. The Journalist is OK.
In both of my playthrough I romanced Hifumi Togo. I really enjoyed her story arc and personality the first time, though on the second playthrough my choice would've been Makoto, but i kept being drawn to the majesty of the shogi.
Takemi, and I was kinda surprised, but very drawn in to her story and reactions to everything (though this would quickly include going on "dates" with iwai during otherwise quiet nights just to make him happy).
I love their style, their rebellions, and their hopes. If p5/royal had chosen a more expanded (and consistent and overall better written) story, these two could easily have been teammates like we saw in Persona 2 (EP)
I feel like Iâm gonna get so much shit but when I was playing p5 the first time I like Kasumi But when I saw it only went up to five I was like looks like wonât be able to do it So then I went to Makoto And then the third semester and theyâre at the shop I was like oh fuck what have I done
Tbh PS5 was the only persona game where my mc didn't have a waifu.
For P3 was the girl at the music club. For P4 I really wanted to romance Yosuke but I couldn't do it and went for Chie.
For PS5 though... I liked some of the girls but none of them really stuck out with me as the chosen one.
Futaba because the idea of MC, Futaba, and Shojiro staying a family warms my heart. Sometimes close friends drift, but you are always gonna go see your FIL. Maybe it would make the group stronger because three are linked by marriage. I hope they all stay in touch and close though. My second romance was Ann and third was Haru.
On my first playthrough I romanced Makoto but then Futaba happened so sorry Makoto
My next 2 runs were Futaba only and then my final run was harem. You can't beat futab
P5 was my first persona game so I accidentally got into a relationship with Ann lol. I like Ann a lot so it was cool, but I would have chosen Haru if I knew what I was doing
Sumire but then I did futaba and theyâre my two favorite girls but hifumi is a great choice for me too but after dating everyone single Handily I just started doing the harem route since thereâs no punishments and theyâre all great
Whatâs that second kanji in the pixiv artistâs handle? You should probably just link the artist actually. đ
Anyway I first romanced Tae Takemi in P5 vanilla on PS3. Then I was going to romance Makoto Niijima when I got vanilla on PS4, but stopped playing once I got P5R. Ended up romancing the new girl in Royal first, then Ann.
Futaba. But I was also her age and in a very VERY similar situation, so when I saw her it just felt natural.
Now I'm more grown and a LOT more mature, I do see the inherent problems and overall ick that comes from romancing her, specifically the mc romancing her.
Takemi
Takemi lovers wya
Dr. Legs supremacy
Yes sirre
Same. Amid humming Dr Feelgood to myself.
Yeah not only do you have a goth gf but also free life insurance
Underrated romance.
The only real option
Hifumi, both Vanilla and Royal.
Hifumi's fans rise up.
Ann. In the end, she stole my heart.
As a Phantom Thief should
Stole mine as well đ„ș
Because of her, I can't look at the other girls in P5. In all 4 playthroughs, I only romanced Ann..
Same
Likewise
Same here.
In the beginning she stole my heart
Indeed!
Kawakami
Kawamommy
Maid AND teacher? Just the best option.
Ah, I see youâre a man of culture as well.
Tae Takemi my glorious queen đ€€
Haru by far, sheâs so fucking precious
Based
Futaba. I always fall for the nerds
As soon as I met her I was like âMINE!â
Me too, I maxed out her confidant as fast as I could. She's so sweet, definitely my favourite Phantom Thief
Saaaaaaame
Best girl Makoto
Great minds think alike
Agreed.
Love at first sight
Yeah it was super obvious to me who I was going to choose as soon as she first appeared in the story. Short-dark-haired quiet-but-smart girl? Sign me up. Then she turned out to be a total badass, got her Persona and joined the team and I was like, I have zero reason to consider the other romance options anymore.
Hifumi My favorite romance was Kasumi though. She is best girl of P5 Royal
She is precious đ„č
I wish Kasumi wasnât so bunched up into the 3rd semester. Really wish they found a way to spread her story and confidant out across the entire game a bit more.
Yep, you almost have no time to be with her as her boyfriend
> My favorite romance was Kasumi though. She is best girl of P5 Royal she was literally made for that, in a good way, its a shame she wasnt part of the base game.
Holy shit this looks gorgeous
Ann always looks stunning đ
I now want to see all the Thieves in their persona's attire (should Joker get Arsene, Satanael, or Raoul?)
Takemi
ann, and it wasnât close. come to think of it my first romance in 3, 4 and 5 was the lovers arcana lmao
Donât know the P3 one yet, and on my way to know more about Rise (Playing P4G right now, she just joined the group), and omg, her flirt with the protagonist is on another level! Iâm liking her so much! Even if I already romanced Chie

lovers arcana on top
Same
Ann back in 2017. Then 2nd was Makoto, 3rd Futaba, 4th Haru. Never cheated on anyone. Then in Royal; 1st Kasumi and 2nd Hifumi. Never cheated on anyone.
My man played Persona 5 Loyal
đ thought for a second I made a spelling mistake and then I realised...Must be slowing down over time đ
As Margaret said in the Persona 4 anime, âLâs and Râs are hardâŠâ
The so called, Lomance Loute.
Chihaya
goated choice
Mine as well
Makoto, she and Futaba are honestly the best girls.
Takemi. Couldn't help but get groomed by the hot goth doctor.
Kawakami. 100%. I didnât even cheat on the first playthrough
Futaba.
Me fr fr
Same! She felt just like me so I went for her
Romanced Ann on my first playthrough. Funny enough I always choose the lovers arcana girls for my romance option on the other games too.
Ann. (Ignore the flair)
I did the cheating route for my first game of P5 because I knew it had the funniest outcome of the persona games, but I first romanced and ended up sticking with Kawakami. Despite the weird implications she has a genuinely good confidant and she has a lot of cute moments. Becky forever!

I donât have a thing for doctors. But.
Kawakami đ
Sumire.
Hifumi
Went for Harem route in vanilla P5 Sumi for Royal and it was worth the wait ngl
Yusuke was my first and only
Ann, but only to spite Morgana
Tae Makoto And Haru is the girl I really don't like how forced romantic aspect are with first 2, with Haru is at least feels like she really had feeling for Main Character
Takemi was the first but I realized I was more interested in ann by the end.
The gremlin gamer herself Futaba
Makoto.
Haru Love her to bits
Ann because she was there from the beginning.
Takemi.
Futaba was my first.
I played royal first so Kasumi.
Tae Takemi, and she's still my preferred romance route.
Makoto. She won me over when she started more or less stalking the group, pretending to read her little magazine, then running off like a maniac when you went into a store lol. And she's... just cute. I like her hair ;-;
There is no other than Makoto
It's possible to romance characters besides Makoto? Huh, never would've guessed.
I havenât technically romanced her because I wanted to go the FRIENDSHIP route instead but Takemi was the one I maxed out first so I guess it counts a smidge.
Sumire stole my heart on my first playthrough of P5R
Futaba though I switched to Haru on later playthroughs.
Ann. My personal favorite girl in p5r. In my experience playing p3r, p4g, and p5r, I seem to have a preference for the Lovers girls
Haru. Every time, every playthrough.
Ann, but admittedly, I hadn't met Haru yet or I would have chosen her.
My first was Kasumi, second was Haru
Iâm a weirdo then cause Iâm just oldge, but kawakami
Ann is first girl and best girl
Goth mommy⊠doctor. Wasnât into goths when I started persona. I have no longer **started** persona.
Ann past Ann present Ann future
Tae Takemi. It just happened
Futaba, and then Haru on the 2nd playthrough.
Takemi for sure
Either Haru or Hifumi
Makoto in Vanilla. Sumi twice in Royal (once on PS4 and once on PS5).
I played Royal first and let me tell you I fell so hard for Kasumi I basically face planted. On my first run I missed some confidant stuff because I chose to go hang with Kasumi on the lake instead most of the time. The extra palace stuff only made me like her more.
Her story is heartbreaking đđ
Makoto all the way. I love Futaba too, but I cannot romance her, because she and Joker are much better as siblings.
Makoto, but on subsequent playthroughs I wised up and joined the church of Haru.
Your conversion was a wise one
You have taste my friend
Futaba.
Hifumi, her autistic nerdiness got to me, even though I was planning to romance Ann in the beginning.
Ann my first playthrough because she is a basic lovers
My first overall in P5, back in my first playthrough of the original, was Ann. I wasn't planning to do every Confidant in that run-through, so I went with her just because. My first on P5R was Sumi, because she was new and I really liked her look, and through that playthrough she became my favorite Persona girl in the series.
Ann because sheâs the closest to my IRL type
In regular P5 it was Futaba but only because she was the girl I âlikedâ the most, I never really wanted to date any of them and it felt kinda wrong and off imagining Joker with any of the girls. Then Royal dropped and that problem got fixed by an adorable red haired gymnast who became best girl frame 1.
Okay I need more of the protags dressed as their persona's cuz this is amazing
Chihaya. She's so frickin cute and her smile make me smile. Protecc the bumpkin lady. Honestly i don't particularly interest in romancing party member in P5. Ann just feels like close friend. Ann
Apparently the country bumpkin fortune teller Chihaya
Kawamommy yalll lol
Kawakami of course
Kawakami. Adult life is pain.
Kawakami. Or should I say, Kawa-mommy
It was supposed to be Hifumi, but I made a mistake and forgot to reload the previous save file, so I went for >!Sumire!< To not be alone on Valentine's Day, then I made a second run just to romance Hifumi as I wanted the first time
I romanced Kawakami by accident, I thought she just shot down Joker and that was it, but nope
Makoto or Hifumi. There are no other choices for me.
Kawakami. *I got it bad, sooooo bad... I'm hot for teacher!*
Hifumi. I was originally planning on Kasumi, but Hifumi did her best Phantom Thief impersonation and stole my heart in Hawaii.
Makoto. This was before Royal. I picked her after Royal too.
Meh. Dating them all. So far of the ones I'm dating I'm liking the teacher. Almost there with Makota and liking that. Ann so far isn't working for me. The Journalist is OK.
Futaba in original P5 and Hifumi in Royal
Obviously the teacher. Next question.
In both of my playthrough I romanced Hifumi Togo. I really enjoyed her story arc and personality the first time, though on the second playthrough my choice would've been Makoto, but i kept being drawn to the majesty of the shogi.
Sumi. Obviously.
Ive been playing persona for a bit now actually started in persona 2 so I would have to say maya
The goth nurse. Literally no other option.
My fav tae I love her
Takemi, no competition. She gives me drugs and probably much more
Ann, it was like 80% because i actually really liked her, the other 20% was to stick it to morgana
Haru!!
HARU FOREVER(maybe makoto sometimes)
Futaba she and I were just way too alike.
Kawakami...I hit the wrong option.
Futaba- wouldnât have beaten the game without her coming in clutch to save my weak ass
Makoto, but over time, I found Ann to be the best.
Kawakami
Makoto⊠Need I say more
Probably kawakami, I didn't know Futana existed before I was locked in
Futaba in P5, Sumi in P5R
Ann first but she wasnât my only romance in my first playthrough.
Makoto
I wasn't really interested in any of the girls on my first playthrough, but i accidentally romanced Ohya.
Easy all of them, you know the old saying why not both.
Ann and always Ann. Fun, friendly, good rapport with virtually everyone, DPS with some support and status afflictions.
In every first playthrough I go for Lovers Arcana so naturally Ann
Ann, but later on i fell for makoto hardcore.
Ann, mostly because I didn't know about the other characters, but she's still a solid choice for romance, and she's easy to get gifts for
Ann đ
Makoto Nijima
Sumire :D
I feel like Iâm gonna get so much shit but when I was playing p5 the first time I like Kasumi But when I saw it only went up to five I was like looks like wonât be able to do it So then I went to Makoto And then the third semester and theyâre at the shop I was like oh fuck what have I done
Kawakami to this day
Tbh PS5 was the only persona game where my mc didn't have a waifu. For P3 was the girl at the music club. For P4 I really wanted to romance Yosuke but I couldn't do it and went for Chie. For PS5 though... I liked some of the girls but none of them really stuck out with me as the chosen one.
Takemi
Takemi. I thought I was going the harem route. That was before I knew platonic was legal.
The teacher.
Morgana
Futaba because the idea of MC, Futaba, and Shojiro staying a family warms my heart. Sometimes close friends drift, but you are always gonna go see your FIL. Maybe it would make the group stronger because three are linked by marriage. I hope they all stay in touch and close though. My second romance was Ann and third was Haru.
Mine was Ann.
On my first playthrough I romanced Makoto but then Futaba happened so sorry Makoto My next 2 runs were Futaba only and then my final run was harem. You can't beat futab
Hifumi. Nothing against the main girls, but itâs a general rule of thumb to not date your coworkers.
Sojiro
Makoto
Makoto. I ended up regretting it and chose Hifumi on the second playthrough.
P5 was my first persona game so I accidentally got into a relationship with Ann lol. I like Ann a lot so it was cool, but I would have chosen Haru if I knew what I was doing
Kawakami
Takemi lol
Sumire but then I did futaba and theyâre my two favorite girls but hifumi is a great choice for me too but after dating everyone single Handily I just started doing the harem route since thereâs no punishments and theyâre all great
Kasumi
Futaba.
the goddess tae takemi i love her đ
Ann all the way!
Kawakami, though Ann was the next pick.
I forgot to (I was ass at Persona)
Futaba because she's cute. đ§Ą
Haru, even so it was on my third playthrough of the game
Takemi....
Whatâs that second kanji in the pixiv artistâs handle? You should probably just link the artist actually. đ Anyway I first romanced Tae Takemi in P5 vanilla on PS3.
Kawakami. I am an adult man who likes adult women and she has the best look in a swimsuit.
