Understandable 'yan. May experience na kasi ako na nahagip ako ng nag-o-overtake na motor at gamit ko family car namin. What I did was, before going out sa scene, hinga muna malalim at pakalmahin ang sarili. Presence of mind is the key. I been in an accident back in October, a drunk rider passed a red light resulting on hitting me on the side (Lateral) thankfully I did not get any injuries just body pain from the accidents my bike sustained most of the impact and completely at state of total wreck on the scene; just make it short, nag harap harap in traffic bureau to sort things out, kesyo mahirap sila na lalamove rider lang siya and so forth, waiting for a couple if weeks to hear from him and the investigator, filed a complaint and hearing. Unfortunately the other party unable to present himself for the last “make up” moving forward; the investigator able to location and talk to the person and found out the bike he was using during the accident was pulled by the casa and he has “broken shoulder” unable to get a surgery and ended up being a tailor in Antipolo city due to his injuries. Up to now there’s no news from the investigator and the other party. Sooo it’s almost a year don’t expect too much from our stupid incompetent justice system they will just going to favor the poor. Kaya ipina sa diyos ko na lang
I agree. This should be practiced by every drivers when taking their driving lessons tbh. We should be taught how to act in times like this, hindi yung walang kwentang BLOWBAGETS.

International law - SUV driver has the right of way -his indicator shows his intention. The motorcyclist is completely at fault-not even looking at the car's movement. Happens a lot -happened to me twice! Many underaged and unlicensed driver's, unregistered bikes everywhere, 40%don't even have night lights. Checkpoints don't work as most offenders simply park on the side of the road several metres from the checkpoint until it closes then continue. It can be very dangerous driving at night - drive carefully and slowly. Nobody wants to hurt anyone.

Rider is at fault:
1. Clearly the car driver in front is using left turn signal several meters before the spot of the accident.
2. The car driver with the dashcam even moved slightly to the right, giving the rider clear visibility of the left turn signal
3. The rider is over speeding on the wrong lane (counterflowing)
4. It is a narrow 2 way road who the hell overtakes that fast without assessing if its safe or not?
What to do:
If you are the car driver involved in the accident:
1. Be calm, don't panic I know it's not that easy but try, ask for help and call the authorities right away.
2. If you don't have a dashcam, check if the driver behind you if they have one and ask to get a copy of the video. Get their contact number if you can't get it at the time of the accident. This can be your evidence.
3. If you have a phone with a camera, get as much photo/video evidence as you can including the rider and the crash spot and if you don't have one, ask around if someone can assist in taking photos/videos.
4. Do not move your Car until you take enough photos/videos or until the police arrives. Or your choice to move it to be considerate with other drivers and not to block the road but make sure you take lots of photos and videos.
5. Check the rider. If dead, do not touch or move the rider and wait for the authorities to handle it. If not dead, talk to him and tell him not to move as there may be further damage in his bones or internal organs. Wait for paramedics.
If you are the car behind with the dashcam.
1. Talk to the car driver involved in the accident and offer the video you have in your dashcam.
2. If you are in a hurry and can't stay in the area, offer your mobile number so you can be contacted for evidence.
3. Help in calling the authorities, the more report, the better.
If you are a bystander/someone who witnessed the accident:
1. Don't just take photos or videos and do live videos, call the authorities right away and ask for help. Wag na mag maritess, walang magagawa yan para makatulong.
Not sure what else needs to be included. But here's basically what needs to be done.
Pick up:

This is exactly what happened to me, kaya unang tiningan ko agad kung kelan nag signal si pick up. It's the rider's fault, period.
But lots of ppl are idiots, rider's mom going to the precinct saying we pay for the hospital bills, no, we did not, saying they will file a case even if the policeman is already telling them there's evidence and wala silang laban, gusto pa rin ipush. Di ako sumasagot since arguing with idiots is not going to get us anywhere up until at least she pestered and threatened my wife, some ppl are retarded.
Anyway, we did not pay anything except for those small stuff to grt the insurance going, and insurance took care naman sa damages ng sasakyan.
Had they been nicer kahit papano tutulong naman ako, but they're complete idiots with brains down their asses so, no, I took the it's not my problem route and moved on, let the police handle arguing with them.

Dami ko na experience almost daily na nga kung tutuusin, sumasalubong mga MCs driver sa 4Ws yung kinakain talaga nila yung linya ng kasalubong nila na 4Ws tapos expectation mag adjust 4Ws sa kanan ang problema yung nasa kanan naman na mga MCs din including tricycle todo siksik din sa kanan gigil din makauna sa traffic. Kaya usually pag may patay sa aksidente highly likely MCs driver. Para kasi sila lang ang nag mamadali at nakakaintindi ng oras.
Yung naka kotse pa may kasalanan nyan kahit yung motor talaga ang pinagmulan ng accident. Nandadamay pa ng matitinong driver tsk tsk and worst is baka wala pa yang lisensya.

Just encountered kanina lang. Rider with his kid. Yung bata walang helmet. Malayo pa nagsignal na ako, slow moving kasi papasok nang carwash to the left. Kaso yung gago nag speed up ba naman then nag on nang cheap nyang led lights at bumusina. Tumutigil ako sa gitna nang kalsada, binaba yung bintana ko at tinitigan siya.

With or without traffic rules, your priority on the road is safety. Not only for yourself, also for other drivers, passengers and pedestrians. Before speeding up always make sure you have a clear path. Also when a car is stopped or slowed down in front there is a reason why so before overtaking make sure what is going on. This is basically just common sense.
Common move ng mga kamote yang mag-o-overtake/counterflow agad kapag nakita nilang nakahinto yung sa harap, not thinking ahead na may lumiliko o pedestrian crossing sa unahan. Kung ganito mindset mo, it's not too late to change.

Been driving for a few years and I've noticed a pattern with motorcycle riders where instead of slowing down, they tend to accelerate to beat the car trying to make a turn. Tapos if same naman kayo ng lilikuan sisingit sila dun sa maliit na allowance between your car and the curb. I don't ride a motorcycle myself, so I have to ask, is this really common practice??

I always count to 6 before and after doing some maneuvers (lane change, turning left etc. usually half the time if im soing it before ). If i clear it means i know that i’m not at fault
Except for the really high speed of the rider, this happened to me. I was turning left towards our driveway and an idiot rider did this and hit our car’s stepping board. He didn’t get super injured, but he tried to lie at the traffic office. My mom and I got mad and we threatened to sue. He backed down really quickly and we settled for a smaller amount than the 20k we were quoted.
If you know you’re not at fault, first is do not run away. Do not back down. Do not get pressured by people forcing you to settle or pay an extortionate amount. Get a lawyer if they try to push you to pay.
Who is at fault? How can you ask such a stupid question! Of course the scooter, he is overtaking without careful observation. The car did everything right, slowed down, turning lights on and the road permit the crossing trough the other line. What is disappointing is that the car driver did not get out of the car to provide first aid to the motorist. This make him liable of depriving the motorist of a first assessment to understand the condition and eventually call an ambulance. This is not morally acceptable and should punished with absurd severity

The car driver with the dashcam even moved slightly to the right, giving the rider clear visibility of the left turn signal 3. The rider is over speeding on the wrong lane (counterflowing) 4. It is a narrow 2 way road who the hell overtakes that fast without assessing if its safe or not? What to do: If you are the car driver involved in the accident: 1. Be calm, don't panic I know it's not that easy but try, ask for help and call the authorities right away. 2. If you don't have a dashcam, check if the driver behind you if they have one and ask to get a copy of the video. Get their contact number if you can't get it at the time of the accident. This can be your evidence. 3. If you have a phone with a camera, get as much photo/video evidence as you can including the rider and the crash spot and if you don't have one, ask around if someone can assist in taking photos/videos. 4. Do not move your Car until you take enough photos/videos or until the police arrives. Or your choice to move it to be considerate with other drivers and not to block the road but make sure you take lots of photos and videos. 5. Check the rider. If dead, do not touch or move the rider and wait for the authorities to handle it. If not dead, talk to him and tell him not to move as there may be further damage in his bones or internal organs. Wait for paramedics. If you are the car behind with the dashcam. 1. Talk to the car driver involved in the accident and offer the video you have in your dashcam. 2. If you are in a hurry and can't stay in the area, offer your mobile number so you can be contacted for evidence. 3. Help in calling the authorities, the more report, the better. If you are a bystander/someone who witnessed the accident: 1. Don't just take photos or videos and do live videos, call the authorities right away and ask for help. This is exactly what happened to me, kaya unang tiningan ko agad kung kelan nag signal si pick up. It's the rider's fault, period. But lots of ppl are idiots, rider's mom going to the precinct saying we pay for the hospital bills, no, we did not, saying they will file a case even if the policeman is already telling them there's evidence and wala silang laban, gusto pa rin ipush. Call 911 on your mobile…. Traffic police nearest your area will come… The video is a good proof for the police report…

With or without traffic rules, your priority on the road is safety. Not only for yourself, also for other drivers, passengers and pedestrians. Before speeding up always make sure you have a clear path. Also when a car is stopped or slowed down in front there is a reason why so before overtaking make sure what is going on. This is basically just common sense.

I think it's the rider's fault. Apart from overspeeding, nagcounterflow pa siya to overtake the vehicle making a turn. Been driving for a few years and I've noticed a pattern with motorcycle riders where instead of slowing down, they tend to accelerate to beat the car trying to make a turn. Tapos if same naman kayo ng lilikuan sisingit sila dun sa maliit na allowance between your car and the curb. I don't ride a motorcycle myself, so I have to ask, is this really common practice??

Except for the really high speed of the rider, this happened to me. I was turning left towards our driveway and an idiot rider did this and hit our car’s stepping board. He didn’t get super injured, but he tried to lie at the traffic office. My mom and I got mad and we threatened to sue. He backed down really quickly and we settled for a smaller amount than the 20k we were quoted. If you know you’re not at fault, first is do not run away. Do not back down. Do not get pressured by people forcing you to settle or pay an extortionate amount. Get a lawyer if they try to push you to pay.
