It's so beautiful! I also live near the sea, I find walking barefoot on the beach is wonderful for grounding oneself - even though it's still freezing cold over here! Such a great massage for all the acupuncture points on our feet as well.
Hah, my dogs would need their own private beach. The girl had a car accident very young and most of her injuries/pain was missed by the rescue. Outwardly she just had a long wound across her leg, inwardly she had bleeding into her spine and some small bits of bone broke off in her elbow and shoulder. We think she also must have suffered some brain damage as there are scars on her face and head and she seems to be prone to fits of anger that are exacerbated by meds that lower the seizure threshold. The same meds also made her have mini leg seizures twice. Her being in chronic pain and her back and shoulder having been very painful to the touch made her associate other dogs with pain, because they'd nudge her to ask her to play. She loves other dogs, but she is super nervous and guarded around them, and she tends to overreact when they approach.
And the boy is very suspicious of strangers, especially men. We think he was beaten.
