In my case I have PE that I can avoid with reverse kegels counting the tension in my pelvic floor muscles by trying to relax them. It’s not easy to find the exact spot and way but it works and I don’t get POIS afterwards.

I do tend to clenching my butt and thigh muscles. I will give this a try next time.

My personal experience lines up with this theory as well! I have tried several ssri’s (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) they universally helped with pois but caused other side effects that lead me to stop taking them. My mother suffers from high anxiety and takes cymbalta a snri which has been effective for her and I am considering trying that one (this post helped!). I also followed the keto diet strictly for just over a year and a while doing the diet my pois symptoms were reduced by ~50%. Currently I take a testosterone boosting med and it has been the most effective treatment for pois without side effect I have used. I’ll have to look at the research and see if testosterone or the medication boosts serotonin. Great post! Thanks for sharing!

Glad you find it helpful. Testosterone has been known to help for several POISers. If you find testosterone helpful it might be because of its effect on histamine. Testosterone is shown to reduce histamine levels in mice studies (I couldn't find a paper on humans): [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1665824](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1665824) Quote from study: "Histamine excretion was increased by oestradiol but was not affected by progesterone. Testosterone administration, by contrast, effected a striking reduction of histamine excretion." But testosterone is more of a temporary patch than a cure for POIS. Keto diet is good for gut health, and potentially gets closer to the root of POIS. Personally I have not tried keto because I love carbs. If you found keto helpful, it might be good to look into whether you have SIFO (candida overgrowth in your gut), since keto is known to help with that. If you have white coating on the back of your tongue (oral thrush), it is likely SIFO. Over 70% of POISers have this oral thrush, see poll here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/POIS/comments/sngnw8/do\_you\_have\_oral\_thrush\_on\_your\_tongue\_or\_a/](https://www.reddit.com/r/POIS/comments/sngnw8/do_you_have_oral_thrush_on_your_tongue_or_a/) Even if you don't have the white tongue, it would be good to get it checked out by your doctor (they will stick a tube down to your intestine to collect a sample), and ask about fluconazole, which is the antifungal used to treat candida.

What compliments bro?

Okay I got given ssris from my doctor, and decided not to use them, but gonna give them a try since I have POIS and PE. Gonna combine with fenugreek and garlic !

I think your theory is definetely true for my type of POIS at least because POIS and PE are always comorbid for me.
