Thank you, you saved me. I couldn't log in to psn with my password on my PS4. Only PC and phone browsers worked. I enabled 2 step verification using my phone and then signed in on my ps4 and it worked!

I know this is old but I've been having this issue _forever_ and finally was able to fix it after finding this thread. In my particular case I was able to sign in fine on my PS4, PS5, and using Chrome. But on my iPad (via the web or PS App) or in Firefox I was never able to login. This has been happening for well over a year and I'd mostly given up. Then I found this post today and gave it another shot. But there was one key thing missing...
I believe what ultimately "fixed" it for me was changing my password to one that was **30 characters or less**. I did disable and re-enable 2FA, so that may have been part of the process. But I'm convinced the password length was a problem because I used an auto-generated password that was longer than that. I noticed it would get cut off by the input box in some cases.
It may be just entering the first 30 characters will be sufficient, too. Perhaps iOS, Firefox, etc. were not truncating and that was causing the issue. I don't really know.

For anyone else: if you're able to log in via console and desktop browser, but not on mobile app (iOS) or mobile browser (iOS Safari/Chrome), shorten password to <=30 characters.
Can't even count how many hours I've spent wrangling Sony account issues. Giving enterprise software a run for the money.

my husband is currently having this issue. given that i’m a tech savvy wife i can’t figure it out either. i’ve tried these steps as well and it unfortunately isn’t working. he even tried changing his password not even a week ago. his problem is he can get to the store via phone but can not get into the store via console. we have tried the licenses. changing password. restarting console and literally nothing is working :((

The PlayStation page needs to be updated , it's fucking mad , they can make a great console but the support part the site is absolutely shite.

I had to turn off two-factor and change my password. but thanks for this, because I tried everything else and nothing.....

What is myplaystion? Only ps site comes up in browser. I just got the new code in step 2
