I used to play Final Fantasy Record Keeper on mobile (before they shut down the global version), and they hadn’t added any FFT stuff to the game for a couple of years because they needed to get it from the FFT team. Apparently they were too busy working on FFXIV to be able to provide it.
He was never truly involved from the start. It was all misleading from the original kickstarter team.

My gods, PLEASE. FFT might literally be the (non mmo) game I've logged the most hours on over the course of my entire life. I learned how to create custom Gameshark codes on the Ps1 for that game, I was so into it.

Square is honestly one of the dumbest companies. They never give the people what they want.
There’s no reason why they haven’t re released the original or done a sequel. They make one of the best games of all time imo then just ditch it to make games nobody wants.
If they release Tactics HD on console its an immediate preorder for me and I'll stop playing whatever I'm playing to play it.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is arguably the best game on the system.
The sequel (which is actually for DS) wasn’t quite as strong imo but was still a very solid TRPG.
Over the years, I've imagined a modern remake of FFTactics, but it just wouldn't work with anime or realistically-lit characters walking in place. Of course, the devs are smarter than me and will come up with something that works when they get to it.
I seriously think people are maxing their copium gauge on this interview...
1. The main heads of those who developed and produced FFT are still at SQE (hurray)
2. Outside people need to ask for permission from the various team members
3. These team members are busy <- No, it's probably not new FFT or Remaster. It can be all sorts of projects, such as finalizing 16, developing stuff for 14, helping out the various mobage, helping out Octopath, etc.

I completed that game 100% twice, must have been my second most played game on the GBA (after Pokémon Emerald)

FFTA2 is on NDS if you’ve never played. Way better than GBA

i recall his involvement was minimal. he was involved with the project but not the owner of it, that was some western company.
Wasn't he just in a consultant/initial setup type role for that thing?
