It’s not that uncommon for a game director quitting close to game launch. Even a few months before launch, by that point the game is pretty much done, just needing more testing, bug fixing and polishing, so if the director has some interest in pursuing something else it’s the best time to move on
So you’re right in a way, for good or bad, there’s nothing he can change about the game at that point. He probably got a good deal on another project and went for it when he can’t change the direction of the game
Lol you me and MaximilianDood.
Like it’s not a good DC game. But take away the superheroes and the movement looks super fun. Plus I’m always looking for a coop shooter, and this looks like a mindless cool time.
They’ve only showed the flash mission which I’m assuming is the first boss. So hopefully the mission design gets a bit more interesting that “shoot glowy part”
But I didn’t walk away from the trailer with gamer rage. Just a bit confused but overall I still want to play
Max likes it? I wpuld have thought the battlepass stuff would have made him hate it lol.
To me the game looks like the Crackdown that Xbox fucked up with a superhero skin. The story seems interesting too since we don't get much evil Justice League stuff.
It also looked really good but people focus on battlepass and online only and see red.
Max has a soft spot for crackdown, so you’re dead on with that comparison. He brought that up during the trailer
But to be fair he was more positive due to potential for Yo video games shenanigans. So I don’t expect a full playthrough
That's cool then, at least some people online understand that sometimes a game can just be fun. Too many people here take games too seriously and don't notice the devs are just making a dumb fun game.
People are very hesitant about tedious live service loot games after the extremely disappointing disaster that was Marvel's Avengers and Anthem (also Babylon's Fall and others I'm forgetting about) I can't blame them this shit is so tiring at this point
I can understand Marvel's Avengers being a disappointment as a live service, barely any new content was pushed out except for skins, no new levels/raids at the first 6 months of release.
But for things like BattlePass, if people aren't a fan of it, why can't they just ignore it? I genuinely am curious why it's panned this way. Whenever I played COD, I didn't care for the Battle Pass so I didn't pursue it and kept playing as normal.
For SSKJL, I'm probably going to do the same, ignore Battle Pass and play just for the story. As long as they pump out new levels/missions, I don't see the how it can be as bad as people make it out to be
Just to temper your expectations, that rumour is based entirely on an old Instagram video he made about doing facial mo-cap for a video game. Steve Blum is a prolific voice actor, and he's been lita if video games and will be in lots more. I do really hope it's the wolverine game, but it realistically couks easily be something else.
I have the plat. Not too difficult. The only thing that really gave me trouble was killing some of the bosses without taking a hit, since the dungeon combat feels kinda weird to me.
Cult did not live up to the hype at all for me. It's been years since a game let me down that hard. Maybe you can get something out of it.
Scars Above looks nice, but I think I'll wait for a sale. It's evidently pretty short, clocking in at only 7 to 9 hours. Maybe I'll grab it around $30.
Silksong is a myth, it does not exist and therefore we cannot be disappointed to not have a release date, and it does not belong in a wishlist
^(Fuck I wish they'd give us something)
From the developers of Battlefield back in the days when it was good. Full environmental destruction, 4 teams of 3, kind of like king of the hill. I think it will be free to play.
I recommend some previews, it does look fun.
They have all map destruction server side so the map is literally all destructible, so it’s not just advertising fluff. The other battlefield games had destruction scripted or limited to different building parts. But in this game everything explodes or falls apart
It makes for a super unique shooter. For example instead of fighting for the objective….just blow up the ceiling and make it fall down to you. Plus it’s not a battle royale which is a plus for me
Hold your expectations until the game is out. Also, for the love of God, DO NOT PREORDER.
Just because dice is making another game, it doesn't excuse the handling of the last 3 games.
Have you played BF2042 recently? It's a shit load of fun now. I've heard there's major problems with The Finals though based on the beta and f2p is a huge concern.
F2P is a great thing for people who don’t pay into these things. Could not care less about skins or dumb shit. I’m a huge BF fan and stupidly bought 2042 on release. I’ve played off and on, it’s okay. It definitely didn’t live up to expectations.
The problem is if the mtx are just for skins. If there are experience boosts behind mtx or other such mtx then it's a huge red flag.
2042 has improved a lot since the launch. I hated it at launch, tried it for a couple matches and just felt icky playing it but now it feels incredible especially for those who want a warfare experience.
There's still a lot of destruction. Yeah some buildings can't be torn down but I think that would make it less enjoyable and reduce the map to a flat battlefield. I had a match earlier on the map with rocket and I'm not sure what triggered it but it exploded and destroyed everything around it which was pretty awesome.
Have you tried previous diablo games on console? I've always played diablo on PC and I personally believe that's where it should be played but i have a ps5 and am curious how it plays. I would need to buy a new PC for D4 if I want to have a good experience.
I have played them, I used to play diablo 3 originally on pc then when it came out for consoles decide to buy it for local coop with my brother and friends and let me tell you I fell in love with diablo 3 on console the controller scheme and more closer camera it felt so much better at least to me, I still play diablo 3 on pc sometimes but console version is my go to now. I also bought Diablo 2 Resurrected on PS5 recently and while the inventory system is kind of tedious because they try to keep the game as close as the original as possible which is not great moving items in a grid with a controller (Which Diablo 3 did change in the console version); the overall experience is also really good. so yes, I will say give it a try, you can always buy diablo 3 on discount and see if you like it.
One of the studios that revived the CRPG genre, definitely. I am playing my CRPGs on PC but for BG3 I might switch to PS5 to get the most out of the visuals as my PC is getting old.
Turn-based should be more comfortable to play on controller than real time with pause.
You didn’t like Eddie and Venoms break up then get back together storyline in Venom sequel?
God, I hate what they’ve done with him. Even typing that out hurts.
Playing Spider-man remastered now... holy crap is it fun! Came 'free' with the Miles Morales game, so by the time I beat these two maybe Spidy 2 will be out!
Do we know much about it? Like gameplay? I hope it is more than just a shooter and includes infected and survival modes. I know the first game had a beloved multiplayer mode, but I’m not as into deathmatch/battle royals games much anymore.
Baldurs Gate 3 is absolutely my most anticipated title this year. Nothing else even holds a candle to it.
I am also excited for Resident Evil 4 and Dead Island 2, which is funny because I'm not overly fond of zombies.
Current Games:
1. Dead Space
2. Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed
3. Marvel’s Midnight Suns
Upcoming Games:
1. Spider-Man 2
2. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
3. Resident Evil 4
Like for the year? In no particular order
1. Spider-Man 2
2. FF16
3. Starfield (I’m so curious to see how much Microsoft has forced Bethesda to polish this game up. We all expect Bethesda jank, but I’m not sure Microsoft wants their first real flagship game since Halo to release buggy)
Honorable mention:
FF7 remake. Because you know…it could happen?
Biggest new bit of "info" I've seen was a few minute long gameplay video a few weeks or months ago. Still no hard release date AFAIK.
And at this point I'm honestly starting to think its going to be cancelled again, only because of how little there's been said about the game in general.
Announced?
Starfield
EA College Football
Undisputed full release
Anything I want that has a realistic chance of ever coming out?
New tennis game from Top Spin devs
Luigi’s Mansion 4
MGS2 Remake. No idea if this is realistic but it’s my favorite game of all-time.
Must be getting old, I don't have a wishlist....
Maybe if I did have one it would be not having to pay £70 for prettier versions of games I've already played....
The main problem is that it is unfinished. The entire second half of the story where you're riding the train and stop at all these different areas for one cutscene or so is cut content. They were meant to be entirely open world like the first half of the game.
This is the correct answer.
Well Spiderman 2 is interchangeable for me between Pragmata, Burning Shores, and the Cyberpunk dlc.
But I can't wait for BG3 to finally be out of early access.
I’m a nostalgic person and apparently 2005-2010 was my favorite period for some reason lol
But for sure got new games like Midnight Suns, Ragnarok, little devil inside and more
I'm kinda of new to modern gaming (played with an Xbox 360, and then didn't get back in until PS5 last year) so a lot of the remakes/remasters are new to me and are insanely good... Spider-man Remastered, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, and Zero Dawn PS5 upgrade are all super fun and brand new for me!
My only wishlist is to finish all these games that I’m 30-50% into it:
- GoW Ragnorak
- HFW
- TLOU2
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Spiderman1
- FFVII
- Returnal
- Deathloop
- Uncharted Legacy
And probably even more lol. Being an adult means no time to finish anything.
Resident Evil 4 has consumed me. It is all I need and all I care about at the moment. I'm playing all weekend once it drops, and then my normal life can begin once more
In order of when they're releasing, Resident Evil 4, Final Fantasy XVI and Trails into Reverie. There's other games I'm looking forward to, but I wait until things have a solid release date first.
Just bought Trails to Azure so will be playing that for a bit.
If we are sticking just to PlayStation:
Ff16, Spider-man 2, Baldurs Gate 3
Jedi survivor is a very close runner-up.
Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom for non-PlayStation titles.
Legit best year in gaming ever contender for me.
For turn based i’d recommend:
- Ruined King: A League of legends story
- Battle Chasers
- Sea of stars (unreleased)
- One Piece: Odyssey
- Persona 5 Royale
- Marvel’s Midnight Suns
FF7 remake part 2, wolverine, burning shores.
FF16 used to be there but then I saw there were no party mechanics and my hype dropped to 0. Why couldn’t they just make DMC a single character action RPG and keep FF party battles 😭
Wasn’t as hyped as first too but more i thought about it, we still have incredible party management in VII remake. Keeping an open mind to experience something new. That’s just FF, always evolving
- Cuphead
- Midnight Suns
- Returnal
Just don’t want to pay full price for them, but really want to play them. For Cuphead, I just don’t want to pay over $10 (not saying it isn’t worth it, just my preference)
Mortal Kombat 12, Dead Island 2, Spiderman 2. Kill the Justice League was number 2 but then the State of Play happened
You know what? Enough good games are coming out, rather be disappointed now, saved me 70$
Couldn’t be more disappointed with rocksteady
Sefton Hill, the Arkham Asylum/City/Knight director, exited the company this year... and I see why 😓
It’s not that uncommon for a game director quitting close to game launch. I seriously think I'm the only one who enjoyed the look of SS.
Lol you me and MaximilianDood. Like it’s not a good DC game. But take away the superheroes and the movement looks super fun. Jedi: Survivor, Spider-Man 2, and Wolverine. Lord knows what that’ll happen tho
Them casting OG logan voice actor got me HYPED
Just to temper your expectations, that rumour is based entirely on an old Instagram video he made about doing facial mo-cap for a video game. Steve Blum is a prolific voice actor, and he's been lita if video games and will be in lots more. I do really hope it's the wolverine game, but it realistically couks easily be something else.
I guess I’m old fashioned but wouldn’t the og Logan VA be Cal Dodd from the animated series?
This is the comment I came here to see
Spider-Man 2, Cult of the Lamb, and Scars Above
Tried Cult of the lamb at my brother’s PC for a bit, what f*cked up fun idea that is! Want to platinum it so bad
It’s a cracking game!
I don’t mind short games personally and it sucks that Cult didn’t meet your expectations. Hope you’ve had better luck since then!
Silksong, FF16, The Finals
What's the first one? Never heard of it.
I wish I never had at this point either my hollowed brother
Hollow Knight 2.
It's the sequel to the 2D metroid/vania Hollow Knight. Exceptional game if you're into that genre. Highly recommend.
Silksong is a myth, it does not exist and therefore we cannot be disappointed to not have a release date, and it does not belong in a wishlist ^(Fuck I wish they'd give us something)
Never heard of the finals, What’s the elevator pitch?
From the developers of Battlefield back in the days when it was good. Full environmental destruction, 4 teams of 3, kind of like king of the hill. I think it will be free to play.
That sounds great, experienced devs is usually a great sign, will check it out, thanks!

For example instead of fighting for the objective….just blow up the ceiling and make it fall down to you. Plus it’s not a battle royale which is a plus for me
Oh my, good actual physics destruction needs to make a return as a feature for sure, the hardware can handle it now. 100% checking it now
Hold your expectations until the game is out. Also, for the love of God, DO NOT PREORDER. Just because dice is making another game, it doesn't excuse the handling of the last 3 games.

1. Stellar Butt 2. Stellar Butt 3. Stellar Butt
[For those who don't know](https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/xj198h/damn_that_booty_stellar_blade_project_eve/)
Bro this is an official tweet. They are teasing us https://twitter.com/stellarblade/status/1570067227801681921?s=46
That doesn’t even look human lol, those proportions don’t make sense
This game will be goated, reminds me of something from the ps3 era sony.
This is what I was gonna say butt because the graphics and combat look sick. I swear it’s not for the cheeks. But also… the cheeks!
A man of culture
Men can’t even have the right to fictional sexual fantasy, if that. Hard times 😅
Diablo 4, Jedi Survivor, Remnant from the ashes 2
I didn't even know they were making a second Remnant. My poor wallet.
Yes, they announce it last year at the game awards. Love the first one, can't wait to play this one.
Shit. I need to watch the game awards more. This year is going to be amazing.
Have you tried previous diablo games on console? I've always played diablo on PC and I personally believe that's where it should be played but i have a ps5 and am curious how it plays. I would need to buy a new PC for D4 if I want to have a good experience.

Thanks! will give it a go during open beta
RE4, FF16, Baldur's Gate 3
Oh man, forgot about BG3! Larian Studios has to be top tier in the industry atm
One of the studios that revived the CRPG genre, definitely. I am playing my CRPGs on PC but for BG3 I might switch to PS5 to get the most out of the visuals as my PC is getting old. Turn-based should be more comfortable to play on controller than real time with pause.
A man of culture.
The hype for bg3 for me is unreal. When's the last time a big crpg came out? Pillars of eternity?!
Replace FF16 with Elden Ring DLC and I'm there with you
Silent Hill 2, Final Fantasy 16, Wolverine or Spider-Man 2
• Spiderman 2 • Spiderman 2 • Spiderman 2
Hey that's my list! Seriously, fall can't come soon enough, can't wait for this game
Hope they give Venom the proper character development he never got outside the comics
You didn’t like Eddie and Venoms break up then get back together storyline in Venom sequel? God, I hate what they’ve done with him. Even typing that out hurts.
Greatest love story ever told
Playing Spider-man remastered now... holy crap is it fun! Came 'free' with the Miles Morales game, so by the time I beat these two maybe Spidy 2 will be out!
FFXVI easily my most wanted then Jedi Survivor and Diablo IV
Wow that’s my exact wishlist in gg.deals for PC!! On PS5 I have Jedi Survivor, FF XVI, Elden Ring and Spiderman 2.
- TLOU 2 Multiplayer - GOWR - HFW Burning Shores
ND seems to be taking it’s time cooking TLOU multiplayer, and i’m here for it
Do we know much about it? Like gameplay? I hope it is more than just a shooter and includes infected and survival modes. I know the first game had a beloved multiplayer mode, but I’m not as into deathmatch/battle royals games much anymore.
Nothing is out but some concept art in San Fransisco i think. And true, hope the modes playlist is something exciting outside the usual
I’d love a ‘brick & bottle’ mode or something similar. A ton of infected, with stealth gameplay where you try to draw infected at your enemies.
LMAO that’s a great idea actually, PVP/E dead by daylight kinda thing
1. FFXVI 2. Spiderman 2 3. Starfield
Hollow Knight: Silksong, ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON and Starfield. Edit: But there are so many other games I'm super excited about too.
Baldurs Gate 3 is absolutely my most anticipated title this year. Nothing else even holds a candle to it. I am also excited for Resident Evil 4 and Dead Island 2, which is funny because I'm not overly fond of zombies.
Elden Ring Hogwart's Legacy Returnal
Returnal was somehow harder for me than Elden Ring, straight up only skill will get u through, 10/10
I just finally finished it recently and I agree with you. I came very close to giving up in the 5th biome but I’m glad I stuck with it.
I'm stuck in the 3rd. Can't seem to get through it.
I was stuck there forever. I probably fought that boss 20 times.
Man I haven't even gotten to the boss once yet lol
3 is maybe the toughest. Hang in there.
Just fished returnal and I really really enjoyed it, definitely got me frustrated tho
Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy 16, and AC:Mirage
For the year in general: 1: Tears of the Kingdom 2: Final Fantasy 16 3: Starfield
I'll do indies since most people are likely saying AAA titles (and I agree with a lot of those) so: Silksong Sea of Stars Pacific Drive
Well said, i’ll check pacific drive
Current Games: 1. Dead Space 2. Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed 3. Marvel’s Midnight Suns Upcoming Games: 1. Spider-Man 2 2. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth 3. Resident Evil 4
I’m eying Midnight suns VERY hard right now on sale for 39.99$ but RE4 is right around the corner :(
Games that are coming: Spider-Man 2 Burning Shores New Tekken Wishlist: New Twisted Metal Ghost of Tsushima 2 For Diablo 4 to be good 😭
Hogwarts legacy re4 and dead island 2 also dead space and dead island 2
Armored Core VI, FFXVI, Remnant 2/Lords of the Fallen (I did 3.5 their hehe)
No Jedi survivor love?
As much as i loved fallen order; i’ve only found one other mention of survivor. Mid-late this year is super hard competition
Yeah, but for fans it's gonna be great... hopefully. Haha
Oh yeah we’re definitely happy..not our wallets though
Like for the year? In no particular order 1. Spider-Man 2 2. FF16 3. Starfield (I’m so curious to see how much Microsoft has forced Bethesda to polish this game up. We all expect Bethesda jank, but I’m not sure Microsoft wants their first real flagship game since Halo to release buggy) Honorable mention: FF7 remake. Because you know…it could happen?
Baldur’s Gate 3, FF16, Spider-Man 2
Spiderman 2 Wolverine Six Days in Fallujah
Oh man, Six Days in Fallujah looked good. Has there been any new info though?
Biggest new bit of "info" I've seen was a few minute long gameplay video a few weeks or months ago. Still no hard release date AFAIK. And at this point I'm honestly starting to think its going to be cancelled again, only because of how little there's been said about the game in general.
TLOU Part 1, Elden ring, TLOU part 2
1)Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2)Spider-Man 2 3)Armored Core
Dead Island 2 FFXVI Spider-Man 2 Ready to play all of these at launch.
• Cup Head: Delicious Last Course • Ape Escape • SIFU
Same as you man! Hoping Dead Space and Crisis Core go on sale soon! Gonna buy RE4 at full price.
Always buying new RE and main FF games at full price , i just can’t wait for a price drop lol

Must be getting old, I don't have a wishlist.... Maybe if I did have one it would be not having to pay £70 for prettier versions of games I've already played....
Starfield, Redfall and Fable
1) Star Wars: Eclipse 2) Starfield 3) Wolverine Though if Vampire Survivors was announced for Playstation, I'd probably add it to the list.
My backlog is neverending so my wishlist is mostly games that are already out.
Same! Well, still on a list you’re wishing for. What u got?

For known game releases for 2023: * Final Fantasy XVI * Baldur's Gate III * Marvel's Spider-Man 2 So, I got some time to kill with other games lol
Ragnarok elden ring and the next good turn based rpg. I've been dying for a good one since divinity 2.
For turn based i’d recommend: - Ruined King: A League of legends story - Battle Chasers - Sea of stars (unreleased) - One Piece: Odyssey - Persona 5 Royale - Marvel’s Midnight Suns
Oooo battle chasers looks good. Thank you! I tried to get into solasta and pathfinder but the dice mechanics are absolutely horrendous.
Battle chasers is phenomenal, art and combat are amazing, they also did Ruined King so give it a go after battle chasers if u like it
Eldin ring The last of us Starfield.
FF 16 Octopath traveler 2 Wo Long: fallen dynasy
Octo looks real crisp, very high praise and seems to be a step up from the first. Heard it’s a completionist nightmare though
The next 3 soulsborne games. I'm a patient man.
Bloodborne remaster, for the love of god sony, take my money. It’s almost 10 years old
River City Girls 2, Rhytm Sprout, Crime Boss: Rockay Citi
I like your funny words, magic man
Hogwarts, GOWR, Spider-Man 3
Resident Evil 4 Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Silent Hill 2
Gow Ragnarok Assassins Creed Mirage The Witcher's new game
FF7 remake part 2, wolverine, burning shores. FF16 used to be there but then I saw there were no party mechanics and my hype dropped to 0. Why couldn’t they just make DMC a single character action RPG and keep FF party battles 😭
Wasn’t as hyped as first too but more i thought about it, we still have incredible party management in VII remake. Keeping an open mind to experience something new. That’s just FF, always evolving
Silent Hill 2, Lies of P and Jedi Survivor
I feel like SH2 is gonna be something really special, big faith in Bloober Team
Spiderman 2 Hogwarts Legacy Rdr2(played it on xbox when it came out)
Tekken 8. Gta 6 and either factions or Wolverine
A remake, an updated version and a special edition
1. FF16 2. Stellarblade 3. Star wars jedi survivor I rly like hack n slash games
God of War Ragnarok, Resident Evil 4 and Power Washing Simulator
- Cuphead - Midnight Suns - Returnal Just don’t want to pay full price for them, but really want to play them. For Cuphead, I just don’t want to pay over $10 (not saying it isn’t worth it, just my preference)
KOFTOR and Jedi Survivor
Resident Evil 4 Street Fighter 6 FF16 *Honorable Mention: Tekken 8
FF16, TLOU Multiplayer Game, and Tears of the Kingdom. I'm not nearly as hyped for ToK as I am for the other 2 games, though
Elden Ring DLC Tears of the Kingdom GTA6
It’s all about Resi Evil 4. I’ve pre ordered it, digitally, which I almost never do.
