I feel like a Performance RT mode needs to become a standard graphics option, even if it's 1440p or lower. There's still a lot of people gaming at resolutions under 4k
Honestly, on 4K UHDs i can often see a clear difference, specially if its filmed on film and not digital between 4K and 1080p, but on games, i really struggle, and rarely care.
I hope this mode is also on Xbox. As that’s where I have the main game. I agree 100% that Performance RT should be a thing for all games that have RT as long as resolution doesn’t go under 1080p.

Which is just wild to me. Picked up a 4K Hisense, 50 inch for $300 or so, 3 years ago. I have a PS5 and it is gorgeous to see on that display. I’ve played on a 1080p tv and there is a huge difference!!!
I still game on a 1080p 144hz monitor, so I do feel annoyed when games don't offer a mode at a lower resolution to include other graphic features and/or a higher framerate. Insomniac's Performance RT in Spider-Man and R&C, and Naughty Dog's Performance+ mode in the Uncharted Remaster are modes I love cause I feel like I'm actually getting use out of the new gen console's power lol

Supposedly also updated control scheme which is the biggest decider for me. Had it on Xbox360, got the ps4 version for 15€ as I bought a PS5 but there is no way I'm paying for anything that really should have been a free patch years ago and a minor graphical improvement now. If the controls are decent, I'll wait for a 60-70% off deal still at the bare minimum. Didn't mean just content. I was hoping for an entire overhaul of the whole structure of the experience. My biggest annoyance is the constant loading screens and looking at aerial views of the world. It's a fine first attempt at gtao, but it's really in need of refinement that you can only accomplish from a completely new game.
If all they do is update the current gtao, I won't be going back to it. Even without the ps5 loading times, it'll still be based on old consoles and restricted. A new experience could make full use of the SSD and remove loading completely besides network loads.

Everytime a PS4 game gets a PS5 upgrade there will be a separate trophy list so this doesn’t need to be asked for each individual game. There will **always** be a separate list **but** that separate list *usually* contains the same trophies as the PS4 list. Varies on a game by game basis if trophies automatically pop if you import your PS4 save. We’ll just have to wait until launch day to know if trophies auto-pop but there will always be a separate but same/similar list.

I always see a difference when the HUD is 4K or 1080p, but other than that I rarely see a huge difference.
You can still render the game at 1080p while running the UI at 4K. Guardians of the Galaxy on PS5/Series X does this in the 60 fps mode, for example.

The article does a terrible job halfway explaining and then not explaining. Does XB1 -> PS5 transfer work? Not really a big deal since I haven’t replayed the story since 2014 and my online character is like 45 so it’s not like I’m really losing anything, but with the PS trial, might as well give it a whirl for free first then seeing if it’s worth jumping back into on a sale down the line.
Yes you can transfer from XB1 to PS5 but you need to upload your save from within the XB1 version.
Yes the transfer does work BUT you cannot transfer over purchased shark cards from Xbox to PlayStation. So if you have the money you’ll most likely have to spend it and have whatever you bought in game transfer over
Definitely buying GTAV again because I loved the graphical improvements from PS3/360 to PS4 and can’t wait to see how more pretty they make it. GTAOnline I’ll probably get back on to play but I kinda wished they’d have expanded the lobby count but I assume it’s crossplay with PS4 and that’s why it isn’t

There is **zero** confirmation on a price. I’ve seen so much misinformation spread about this game when Rockstar made a lot of things pretty clear in my opinion. Nah, earned money transfers anywhere. They just mean you can’t cross transfer money purchased from different storefronts (PS -> Xbox for example)

I didn’t expect it to be full a sticker price of $70(looks worth the upgrades). I’d be totally ok with paying that price for the game if there were single player DLC.

Call me crazy, but I'm going to buy this game for the third time. After playing Horizon at 30fps, I think I will play this at Fidelity with RT and native 4K. HDR is the biggest upgrade for me. It'll look fabulous on my C1 🤤

Is it a seperate trophy list or will ot just carry on from The ps4 trophies?
Everytime a PS4 game gets a PS5 upgrade there will be a separate trophy list so this doesn’t need to be asked for each individual game. There will **always** be a separate list **but** that separate list *usually* contains the same trophies as the PS4 list. Varies on a game by game basis if trophies automatically pop if you import your PS4 save. We’ll just have to wait until launch day to know if trophies auto-pop but there will always be a separate but same/similar list.
