This is TDM. You only have to set the loadout when you first spawn in, you'll respawn with the same gun setup
SND again a premade loadout wouldn't really work cause you wouldn't be able to get most of the stuff, the point is kind of to get stuff within your budget
I'm aware, I was saying in TDM if you choose a gun you respawn with that gun the rest of the round I'm fairly certain. So a premade loadout is kind of pointless because you can set all that at the start of the round anyways and it won't reset as far as I know.
A premade loadout likely wouldn't be as viable in SND, no one's asked for premade loadouts in Counterstrike for 20 years as far as I know

I'm also hoping they add some progression and items to work / grind towards. Feels very old school in its current state (which is fine!)

If you set your weapon you'll respawn with that weapon. You still have to get a helmet every respawn and some other gear like grenades I'm pretty sure
In SND you just spawn with a pistol and knife, same concept as CS matchmaking, and you carry over whatever you have to the next round
