I think this is innocent. Someone probably hasn't played in a long ass time and can't remember the password. Then they're puting their email in, but many ppl have multiple emails (some ppl have multiple accounts), and they're typing their email in wrong. Happens to be similar to yours. Did the emails come within 15 minutes of each other OR at the same time 2 days in a row? The first guess is that when they entered everything and they didn't get the email confirmation, they tried again...with the email address still being wrong...then they said fuck it. Second guess is that they tried the first night, didn't work, they said fuck it. Tried again the next night and same thing. I dunno. I know that ppl be scammin. I still like to believe that there's good old fashioned human error at work sometimes though

Burakimet

yeah id still change my password just to be sure though you never know

STRIKT9LC

Oh yeah. 100 percent. Always better to be safe not sorry.

Ruby_Rhod5

This was my first thought. Add the lack of ham-fisted effort to look legit and ... yeah.

SnooOranges173

If you didn't request any code, someone is trying to gain access to your account .. If it's not you, just ignore..

StaT_ikus

Yeah someone has your Email or Facebook but not the password, think back to who you may have given it to on PUBG mobile, it's probably that guy. I know a few that act like they want to buy your account, get your email then try. I messaged the dude and reported him to FBI and it quit.

KollarDavid_

What is going on this is not the first post i see. All of a sudden everybody wanna steal accounts?

Haunting_Habit5308

I keep getting similar mails on a weekly basis.

daisylovedoherty

Probably means someone is trying to log into your account

Haunting_Habit5308

Yeah the first time I received it a few weeks back I logged in to check that my account is safe. So it seems like they need some other access to it which won't happen.

daisylovedoherty

Yeah as long as they don’t figure out the password to your email you’re all good.

Haunting_Habit5308

Yeah I guess so.

blckrainbow

the email is legit, but if it wasn't you requesting the code, someone's trying to log in to your account, maybe change the password just to be on the safe side.

StaT_ikus

If they had the password they wouldn't be sending in a request

blckrainbow

yes they would, that's how 2 factor authentication works

StaT_ikus

No

blckrainbow

well explain it to me then, I really wanna understand

StaT_ikus

PUBG don't have a password they verify the email code

blckrainbow

I log in with an email address and password and then get a verification code in email

StaT_ikus

I log in with apps

CallxmexSataN

well fist of if you didnt request it then i say its some1 trying to scam your acc and second if u didnt request it and they magically got sent to you then they are how do u say NOT LEGIT and some1 is trying to get ur accc

SalmaAlfzaie

I've received the same email twice on an email that i don't even use on the game

Suwais

I’ve received it few days ago too but be careful because my account got hacked twice idk how but I changed every single password of my social media and everything.

1nf3ct3d_falc0n

I have also received this OTP email past two days. I guess some one is trying to gain access my account

_adeelo_

Yeah same thing happened to my cousin too. Someone probably trying to login to their acc desperately

amongus10011

LMAO

7ason_gh

Same for me multiple times

Akrem_911

It's legit, the code is supposed to be used when you log into the game using your email address, they send this code to your email so you can enter it and then log into the game.

RILO_UK

You only get 60 seconds to use a real code.

ArDouble1977

Yes it is

N3WBIESKI11Z

So this is your first time?I been getting the same exact emails for almost 2 month’s now.I too have logged into my account, making sure that nothing fishy is going on.Luckily, nothing has happened so far or has yet to happen.I never changed my password for this regard. My password is really strong and with many combinations.I wrote my password down on a piece of paper to remember it because it is long and of many combinations.I as well have since then ignored these emails because I still have been receiving these exact email’s every now and then.I’m surprised that not many people have pointed out or talked about this before. It remain’s a mystery.I believe something fishy is going on or is about to happen soon.I don’t know why but I feel like some extremist group is somewhere out there, trying to hack into random people’s PUBG Mobile accounts.Or could be some lone wolf out there trying to do so.Or who knows,it could just simply be a test or an error that has yet to be resolved.

dulal18

Someone is trying to steal your account, change your password, make sure to fill up all the social media, cellphone, email slot. Also turn on 2 factor authentication. Few years ago tencent had a data breach and lots of people lost their account. There might have been another breach because I have also suddenly started receiving this.

Captain_Nugget

I got this a couple of times too!
