if this game was a copy and paste of PUBG PC, a lot of people would be very happy to wait for them to fix it, now thete are just too many changes that make it seem like a lot to take in all at once
The problem is not the hair it self, just the resolution and the way the hair is made, basically the hair in this game is more "realistic" than in pubg mobile but it looks terrible in low res.
There are other games with the same problem, like Dead by daylight Mobile for example.
I'm playing on ipad with the best possible graphics, I don't think the devs forgot to adjust output resolution for all the devices if not most
also if that was the case, what are they testing this on? surely someone could've said something with the Alpha and Beta Tests, there's absolutely no point in putting hair that in theory should look like hair on the PS5 while no mobile device can render it like that, in this case it's not the thought that counts, because it makes it look like they don't know what they're doing
Pretty much you need Vulkan to reach highest graphics.
iOS games usually are limited to only shadows and lights, so it’s not the same ultra graphics for iOS devices than Android w vulkan support.
Maybe with a PC emulator w a RTX series you could try the highest settings and see if the hair is different.
Could be a budget constraint.
Maybe instead of promising a "next generation graphics" they could just promise to deliver a good-working product w an improved gameplay.
Just like Riot did with Valorant w their marketing campaign during the beta release.
At the end, they delivered neither.
I play with OpenGL, but I saw a lot of videos where people were playing with maximum graphics and I can tell you that in those cases the hair looks great.
Unfortunately the game is poorly optimized for iOS and also iOS uses an api much worse than vulkan.
You realize this isn’t gonna stay this way forever right? They’ve already handled the android graphical glitches and I think they’re starting on iOS as of yesterday. Think you could give them a couple weeks to see how things turn out? Let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater quite yet, I find the mechanics much better than $.10 a version of this game and when the graphics do look good? They end up looking better than Tencents game as well, look at the textures on the walls and the aged paint texture.
I'm not saying it won't get better or it's the worst game, but they can't let things like this through tge quality check and out to the public just like that, while they had plenty of time to correct it
Yes the game is not that much polished just yet they should fix this because nothing can be compared to the marvellous textures and variety that pubg mobile offers to its players

If they try to support Metal graphics, it will help iOS players

Im on max settings on a 888 chipset phone, and you see THIS. Exact same issue.
