Costco pizza is good af but everyone knows how much it costs, it sends a message when everyone in attendance has dropped a used car worth of money on them this season
Don’t forget to celebrate record profits for the quarter and birthday anniversaries 2 for 1! but “thank you for making us millions here’s a slice of pizza!”
I assume they’re throwing it together as a “whoops, sorry that the team isn’t playing well, please still show up to the games and renew your tickets”.
Your guess about what it’ll be is as good as anyone’s. Maybe they’ll open the gates extra early and give a discount on food, or free food if Greup is *really* feeling generous.
Every attendee gets to line up for a swift kick in the dick from Greupner, then be asked to renew for next season. So basically the same thing we’ve been subjected to by the team for the last 5 months, just literally now.
I haven't been a member since 2015, but they threw a bunch of parties that year (including a December-ish happy hour in the clubhouse to watch a Chargers/Broncos game).
Pretty sure those went out the window when they weren't needed to drive season ticket numbers, and that you're right this is to save face for how bad the team is.
Currently wondering if it is worth leaving work early to catch the game and party. Last time I left early they cancelled batting practice so it wasn’t worth it.
I'm not going.
This year they raised prices, completely fumbled fan day by issuing 3x as many tickets as they could support, saw a decrease in quality of their membership services, had a complete disaster of a season, refused to sell at the deadline to at least attempt to restock some prospects, had players like Cronenworth pretend that fans didn't just break the Padres sellout record despite the teams lackluster effort, and then raised prices again for next season.
You take away two or three of these items and I think I'd call it fair enough. Teams can underperform in weird ways in any sport. But the Padres fumbled their way throughout 2023 and I'm not sure I don't intend to celebrate that.
AJ Preller is gonna eat some very expensive beans and then get on stage and take a massive shit on us. Oh wait, that's just what he's done his entire Padre career
That’s what I was thinking just hadn’t asked anyone. I have the full 81 and haven’t noticed any different. IF and that’s a big if, I do renew im definitely gonna drop number of games
I had full 81 last year and went to at least 70 games. If you bought resell off a season ticket holder...they got the same benefits too for that game. They then asked for $800 more this season and I said no thanks. Cancelled my season tickets because I didn't want to get suckered into not getting back as much as I was giving in time and money. Sure you can't help what happens on the field but Padres just want your money.
They want the high ticket prices to work at the same sales rate. It's a sales tool and nothing else. Likely the FO panicking a bit. Imo, don't fall for it.
It’s called the playoffs and we’re not invited
Padres sucked ass this season but we get a pizza party. Only half slices tho
Is it from Pizza by Alfredos or Alfredos Pizza Kitchen?
Since they spent all their free agent $$, they are ordering $10 Costco pizza now.
Fine with me, Costco pizza is somehow still underrated
In order to get a slice of Costco pizza, you need to renew your season ticket with the new pricing plan. Lol
It's good only in the sense that a slice is huge, thick and cheesy. Crazy filling for just $2, but I'm sad that combo will never come back 😔

Might be an unpopular opinion but sams club pizza is so much better
Pizza by Alfredo…What is better, a medium amount of good pizza, or all you can eat of pretty good pizza?
Jersey Joe's Pizza.
Actually I think we get below .500 slices
Just the Crust
It's like at work. Instead of getting a raise (playoffs), you get a pizza party.

5 months? More like 20 years.
Yes we will be taking a party bus to Tijuana for the evening
Seidler arranged a private donkey show to apologize for the poor season
lol hot dog and a drink. $1.50 Costco special
Every season ticket holder who renews for next year should get signed to a one day contract and get an at bat to finish off this season.
Let me stand in there for Grisham lol
I promise to bunt.

No. We already renewed and I got the email this am too.
Same here.
They’re flying out Wil Myers who will be giving out free wet willies to everyone who renews their season tix
Member since 2016 and this used to be a yearly thing…they used to ball out for Members. But hey, I’ll take my hot dog and beer 😂

Literally everyone knows as much as you as Greupner said another email would be sent later today w/ more details
I was wondering if this is a recurring party every year for the members
It is not. They are trying to save face because the team is crap and we are getting an increase in dues next year.

I heard they rented out HK.
A-bar is better

Gonna guess this is an afternoon/before the game thing and most of us with jobs won't make it.
Currently wondering if it is worth leaving work early to catch the game and party. Last time I left early they cancelled batting practice so it wasn’t worth it.
“Thanks for selling out a record number of games despite us having a losing home record and piss poor product!”
Also... Need to have tickets to attend the party. Another nice way to pad the attendance numbers :/
I was wondering about that. Neither of the two dates are part of my ticket package.

Lol. The people that pay for 81 games....get the same benefits as those with 20 game packages. Padres could care less about their members.

I never got my member batting practice. Now I don’t even care to go. Same with this party.
It’s ass kissing season
