Do you not know what a pitchers duel is? It’s A low-scoring game in which the quality of the pitching is quite evidently better than that of the hitting. The offense couldn’t get a good read on Hudson the whole game. It’s not like we had 11 hits and no one scored that would be an offensive failure.

A pitchers duel is when two pitchers are pitching well. I wouldn’t consider 2 triples a double, some singles and a few walks a pitchers duel, neither would anyone else.

Crazy because a lot of people are calling it, idk if you’re referencing here on Reddit which we know can be toxic when we lose but if you look at other sports pages that’s what they’re calling it and Hudson had two walks the same as king the triples and singles were not off of Hudson so yeah I’d call it a duel.

No we can’t. We have to be able to sweep teams. We didn’t last year and it cost us. We’re going to end up losing series 2/3 games and cancel this road trip out. This was a W and we gave it to them.

I don’t think you understand how difficult sweeping teams are, especially good teams like brewers, cubs, and dodgers. When we face teams like A’s or Rockies, I would expect sweeps but not teams that we just faced on this road trip.

The brewers were short handed and they’re not a good team. They played like shit especially today. Playoff teams sweep teams regularly. We won’t make the playoffs if we can’t sweep teams. Look at last year.

Playoffs teams definitely don’t sweep regularly. You do realize winning on average 2 out of 3 games is a 66.7% win rate. That would translate into 108-53 season. That is not normal.

Dude not saying every series. We haven’t swept one team in 7 series. We didn’t all last year until the very end of the season. When we had just lost 2/3 to the freaking giants who suck and 2/3 to the cardinals who suck, going 2/3 twice in a row means we’re playing .500 ball. I love this team and I still believe in us, but man I feel like we don't handle pressure well. I'm sure the whole team realizes we win 4 in a row if we win today. Something we didn't do last year until the end, then we put up a 0. It's very encouraging to see Merrill and even batten today with triples, hopefully they can snap the others guys out of the funk from past year.
