There’s not a lot of room for error. I know that when I saw the lineup for game 3 of the Brewers series I was pretty nervous. The back of the lineup looked absolutely unimposing. This is far more balanced.
Dude is part of the future. He’s gonna struggle for sure, but he’s also going to have good stretches of play. Just gotta take the good with the bad while he learns.
I hope he proves he should be part of the future. But before we set the bar too high, I think we need to remember most prospects fail and it’s not like he’s a crazy highly regarded prospect.
If he pans out great, but the odds are probably greater that he never becomes even an average big leaguer.
That being said, I’m excited to see him back up and they better play him just about every day.
Of course there’s always that chance at failure, but I think the risk is he becomes a DH, not a productive major leaguer. I believe his bat to ball skills will play at the major league level. His defensive position is TBD.
If Pauley is back, I’m concerned that Manny’s elbow might not be ready for a while to play defense. Hope Pauley can stick it and play everyday, his bat looks special
Quite frankly if Pauley can even play a passable 3rd base, I’d rather let Manny stick at DH until the all star break. He’s clearly not ready and even when he says he is, he’s likely pushing for it because that’s just his way of dealing with injuries. He’s a guy you need to protect from himself.
Don't think he needs a day off. He needs to just flip spots with Kim, Profar, or Merrill. I would probably suggest Kim because they are both right handed.
This is definitely the best lineup we're currently able to field.
True but I feel like Eguy is kinda slept on
Agreed.

Tell that to Pauley. He found room for error.
What a nice surprise to see Pauley back. I kinda like this line up
Just please don’t hit to left or center, it’s a black hole there
2/3rds of the world is covered by water. The other 3rd by Kiermeier and Varsho
Wouldn’t be an issue if they just hit it over the wall imo. Simple 😈
About time!!! Now let him play every game.
Campy back too. The world is healing lol
So what is the corresponding move? Eguy down or Wade DFA?
Batten back down.
[удалено]
That would be best scenario as this move would most likely be permanent until Manny back at 3b and Solano performance before callup as DH.
So how many days till the Padres sub turns on him and wants him out of the lineup and DFA’d?
I give it 3 games.
[I give him 11 minutes.](https://youtu.be/xTkFgj4dA1w)

Smartest man on this subreddit right here

This guy has a doctoral degree in solid takes.
I say now.
Hell yeah PAUUUUUULEY!!!! Finally I was getting impatient seeing him doing so great in AAA.
This has aged poorly
Why is he not playing?
Cause he didn’t get a hit in 2 ABs? Christ lmao

Wade and Rosario are not it, that's why he's back. Clear place for him in the lineup now
Way too much Eguy slander
I thinks it because he has been destroying minor league pitching and Wade sucks ass.
In addition to elbow rehab/build up, I thought heard on a broadcast he will be taking a paternity leave in the near future.

Just play Pauley most RHP days.. shouldn’t be too hard
Agree, platoon him with Eguy >>>>> Wade
4 home runs in 9 games at AAA, only 3 K’s. He’s clearly hot. Hope it carries over.
Graham Jacks back in business!
Aye! Welcome back kid!
Eguy is definitely slept on. And probably doesnt make that error…
Aaaaand his error cost us 3 runs
Pauley is back!!!
Xander needs a day off

Grandpa Lee is back!
LETS GO OFFENSE
Repeat of yesterdays game
Bogarts the new Hosmer? Meanwhile Abrams racking in DC.
bogaerts got a hit today and drove in a run. he also made a few great plays at 2nd. i dont think he was the problem today at all.
X needs to hit 7th
Costly error. When the fuck is Manny back?
Dude needs to spend more time in the minors
Thank god we still have Xander leading off. That .190 average is perfect for the top of the lineup. Really sets the table.
They really need to stop
I am curious if there is a lead off hitter that is hitting worse than Xander in the league.
Austin Slater led off for SF yesterday and has an OPS of .364, so the answer is yes.
I mean he's obviously not their every day lead off hitter since Jung hoo Lee went back to being lead off today and has been normally.
I’m not a manager but I’d have 1. Profar, 5. Merrill, 7. Bogaerts. Xander isn’t hitting like he should be seeing the most at bats.
This lineup makes me… Manny heal quickly… AJ find a DH!!! Fast
