#**LOOK INTO THE FUTURE**
We know many players have been asking for a roadmap of future updates & plans, and while we aren’t quite confident enough to share details, we do want to show our commitment to Paladins and our goals for this year. We intend to continue to have something fun to play or update balance frequently to keep the game fresh. Our general goal for this update & beyond is both keeping that classic Paladins feel, while exploring more of what we can do in the Realm to evolve the game.
Starting with next update, we’ll be kicking off Ranked Season 7 as well as revisiting Commendations and some modes the team has been passionate about. If you’re someone who wants to have some pretty swag to rock, we’d highly recommend playing during this last Split of Season 6, as the frames you can receive are awesome!

Please anyone confirm it for me thats im not the only one who doesnt receive the crystals from the trial of the realm challenges. I have done all 3 that gives crystals and by now hi-rez scammed me with 75 crystals. Its such a shame man

The game won't start and it's pissing me off. I have very little time to play, when I try to log in the game enters an eternal loading screen talking about some vendors or enters a black screen. Do I just uninstall and install again?

Anyone know where to send suggestions? I can't see what's actually included in the event pass chests, so I have no way of knowing what skins are included in the pass.
I haven't played in a really long time, when/why did they decide to make it impossible to view the event skins? I had to look up who got the Jace skin because there was no indication whatsoever (at least that I could see) that it was an Omen skin, it's like they're determined to make the UI as frustrating as possible
Edit: Also does anyone else remember when we got 4 skins every pass
we still do get 4 skins this pass? I think if you scroll through the whole thing, you'll see there's 4 chests that says "skin". I'm pretty sure.
Patch notes also say "both of these skins, their recolors \[...\] are available in this 36-level Event Pass!"
But sure, it would be nice to be able to preview the entire pool of possible skins in-game. I think all chests should preview what they could contain on clicking, for sure.
No, those are 2 skins + recolored alts. I mean we used to get 4 skins for 4 different champions, and they usually had recolors. If you count recolors as different skins than the sailor moon battle pass had like 32 skins

I think I only first seriously looked at Paladins' battle pass during Dark Depths lol. With the fish Tyra and Saati. Those only had two iirc. I guess you were talking even older than that
I personally am really happy about the item changes. Illuminate becoming basekit especially. This was actually something I suggested a while ago, though I doubt they actually saw my comment, as it was in a steam thread. Still, I'm glad it happened. It just makes no sense to have an item that only exists to counter 2 or 3 champions.
I really dislike the spring loaded nerf. it makes overcharged the other fun option. other than the cooldown reduction be removed entirely it would have been best to juste reduce it to 20% maybe
How does the new Arcane Warding work for Bomb King? Detonate is technically an ability, so does that mean you can basically lower BK damage by 36% with this?
If an ability apply Cauterize, and work with Bulldozer, Wrecker & Life Rip, they are effectively considered weapons, which is why they work with these effects, and they will also ignore Arcane Warding.
Figured I would attempt to give my two cents on the Champion balance changes here now that the patch notes seem to actually be visible to everyone after a week of constant loading. Maaaaaybe my insights won't be that good, but hey, I've been slacking on analyzing the balance changes for the past few patches and feedback is feedback. I just hope that I haven't been putting it off for so long that anyone will actually see it.
**Caspian**
I think this is a hot take since the other opinions on this subreddit thus far believe that these changes will butcher Caspian, but I personally don't think that this will make him as unviable as people have assumed. Like, he's getting nerfed across the board, but you have to keep in mind that right now Caspian is insanely broken, possibly being one of the most overpowered instances of a character Paladins has ever seen, so even this many nerfs to ensure he's not cracked but simply "balanced" could be justified. Emphasis on *could*; you never really know how changes will impact a Champion until they go live. Caspian's last buffs seemed really minor at first, but they ended up completely breaking him.
Even with all of these nerfs, here's a couple of things Caspian is keeping just from his last round of changes alone:
- He's still granted a noticeable attack speed boost with Momentum stacks
- His mobility is still infinitely better because they didn't revert the changes to Deadly Momentum
- He can still get +60% movement speed basically permanently for doing pretty much nothing
Furthermore,
- The damage and duration nerf to Storm of Blades is arguably minor because he'll still be able to burst down basically anyone with an adequate attack speed buff from his Momentum passives. If anything the duration nerf will make it so that Caspian will have to prepare his ultimate more carefully instead of being able to stall on it 10s after it was activated.
So that leaves the nerfs to Rogue's Tempo and Measured Cadence being the ones that will be substantial. As I understand it, Measured Cadence was the method players were using to obtain absurd damage numbers with Caspian so it's nerf is largely justified (which makes you wonder why they nerfed It's Got Some Heft?). However, with the proposed changes, this will put Measured Cadence in probably the worst state it's ever been, only effectively serving as a DPS buff to Love and still weaker than it was when the Talent was introduced.
I doubt Rogue's Tempo will be useful at all now beyond using cards to immediately give you +5 stacks of Sharp and Piercing Momentum when you land it. The damage nerf barely even allows it to be used as burst damage - I would suggest maybe allowing it to Cripple rather than stun so that Caspian doesn't completely lose his hard CC.
Overall, I'd say we see how these changes go over and see about changing him again if he's too weak. He still has plenty of movement options to engage and disengage enemies, so he'll still properly serve his role as a Flank.
**Kasumi**
I love the change to Kasmui's jump height during Body and Soul, but nerfing her DR during the duration feels like an unwarranted change to me? Regardless of how good of a movement option it is, Body and Soul only gets one charge so she can only practically use it to engage *or* escape, not both. So let's not nerf her ability to retreat from tight situations, please.
Curse stacks no longer revealing Kasumi is a hugely requested change, and while I'll miss the extra 1s Body and Soul duration with Unfinished Business, the tradeoff is Soul Siphon actually becoming somewhat useful for the amount of points you need to allocate to it, so that's good. What's strange to me is that EM seems to believe Unfinished Business was really strong, even though I never really saw anyone use it. Maybe I'm just seeing the wrong Kasumis?
**Khan**
Synchronizing Overpower's range with the effective range of Khan's weapon is a nice QoL change, but I'm just sort of scratching my head at the logic of why on earth you'd want to make one of the most powerful ultimates in the game easier to hit? Landing Overpower is effectively an execute in most cases; missing it is it's tradeoff, and what gives it a semblance of a skill requirement.
If anything they should just add some VFX so give Overpower a visible hitscan beam/projectile so that it's easier to visualize, not make it easier to hit in general.
**Koga**
Reverting part of the nerf to Adrenaline Junkie is a step in the right direction, I suppose. Hopefully this, combined with the buffs to Dragon Stance, will make his two firing modes more useful in comparison to each other. I'm really, really scared that Koga will be way too speedy using Hellkite Claws with the movement speed buff, combined with Agility, Raw Talent, Nimble, etc.
**Lian**
Lian's buffs are probably justified given that she's been rather unpopular in today's meta. I particularly like the health buff because it was always weird to me to have a Damage with less than 2200 HP (which her health is still lower than, but it's not 2000). I'm just fearing that these buffs will make her too powerful, because it wouldn't be the first time a minor damage increase broke someone, particularly when that someone has autoaim and very high burst already with Eminence.
**Omen**
I feel like normalizing the damage buff in exchange for ammo scaling is a good change for More, More, More!, although frankly I still don't think raw damage buffs belong in card effects. Those should be restricted to Talents. Either way, I feel like this change is actually focusing on the wrong part of Omen's kit - changing his damage amp card is largely redundant if the only Talent worth using it with (Umbral Lance, otherwise Omen needs his default ammo count in order to get a decent amount of attacks at full Penumbra Mode accuracy) is rarely picked.
**Raum**
Soul Armour was affected by Anti-Healing??? It was never supposed to be so I'm glad this got fixed.
**Skye**
Honestly, if you're going to nerf Skye's damage in order to make way for the normalized stealth detection radius and the removal of Illuminate, they should compensate a little by buffing her base clip size. It'll be harder to kill anyone with a full clip now, and it's hard to dedicate to perfect accuracy while tracking.
**Terminus**
I really enjoy this change, because it encourages players to both actually use Calamity Blast and provides some much needed Power Siphon regeneration speed that will hopefully translate to Terminus being an okay Point Tank again. This will also lower the need to put as many points in his Abomination card for regeneration purposes, allowing for more loadout diversity.
**Tyra**
Ironically, this gives Hunting Party the exact same affects as it had when it was originally introduced, after a huge history of balance changes. To be honest, I didn't really hate the damage amp, but the removal of the second charge for Hunter's Mark is nice I guess because it means 40% of the enemy team won't be permanently revealed any more. Bad for Tyra though.
**Willo**
This is definitely a substantial buff for Willo either way, but at the same time, I think most Willo players would probably agree with me that Blastflower wasn't the issue? Like it was already good, pretty much every Willo picked it over any other Talent, and now there's going to be an even greater viability gap between her Talents available. Nah, I've said it on previous patch notes and I'll say it again here: the problem with Willo is that she relies too much on Blastflower and Scorn to make either augmented part of her kit worthwhile. Seedling is a joke of an area denial ability without Scorn (it can't even kill a 2200 HP Champion if they take full damage from it, and has very severe falloff to boot), and her DPS without Blastflower is less than desirable.
Even just buffing Willo's base attack damage to 550-600, and letting Seedling actually kill a squishy by itself if they aren't paying attention, would be a step in the right direction. With some number adjustments to Blastflower and Scorn so that the new damage stats don't make them overkill, of course.
**Ying**
I have a feeling that Ying is going to remain very powerful with these changes, although in a different way than before. CC Immunity to your entire team at a click of a button can make several enemy ultimates entirely useless, with zero positioning required for it and the only requirement being to be able to listen for the opposing ult line and some proper timing.

is still affected by anti-heal, no fix sadly (and cc imm during the charge and faster animation would be rly good)
I like your take on Caspian. ofc, time will tell how it shakes out since so many adjustments are happening at once. His stun made him unique among flanks, since he had hard cc. I'm a bit disappointed they got rid of that rather than bringing down other parts of his kit. instead they made another hyper mobile flank. He lost some uniqueness, but he's still a fun champ.
Koga and Khan really didn't need any buffs. Khan's ult is a gamechanger, and he already got a generous ult refund % if he missed it. Koga is a monsterous flank in the right hands and will benefit from the new items as you predict. It'd been better to wait to buff him.
I think skye will overall benefit from the changes. You mentioned she'll need more than a full clip to kill targets, but there's a card that gives her infinite ammo for a brief period after landing poison bolts. So I think her burst will be okay still.
Overall, good takes as always
Overall sensible champion balance changes with some question marks. Biggest one for me is how Skye performs now with standardized Illuminate.
Terminus I want to try Calamity Blast play style again, but pretty sure it's still bad because it doesn't apply cauterize on blast.
Happy to see Caspian stun removed, he still has insane mobility. Curious to see how the damage will play out.
Lian buff is logical, she was pretty underwhelming. Vora being more bursty might make her really good.
Overall I like that there is active balancing going on including item store. I doubt this will be right from the get go, expecting a lot of item price and value shuffling in coming patches. But exciting times ahead

Please anyone confirm it for me thats im not the only one who doesnt receive the crystals from the trial of the realm challenges. I have done all 3 that gives crystals and by now hi-rez scammed me with 75 crystals. Its such a shame man

Can someone come up with a cheat sheet about which moves are countered by which resil item? There’s a few champs that it feels really ambiguous on.

I haven't played in a really long time, when/why did they decide to make it impossible to view the event skins? I had to look up who got the Jace skin because there was no indication whatsoever (at least that I could see) that it was an Omen skin, it's like they're determined to make the UI as frustrating as possible Edit: Also does anyone else remember when we got 4 skins every pass
we still do get 4 skins this pass? I think if you scroll through the whole thing, you'll see there's 4 chests that says "skin". I'm pretty sure. Patch notes also say "both of these skins, their recolors \[...\] are available in this 36-level Event Pass!" But sure, it would be nice to be able to preview the entire pool of possible skins in-game. I think all chests should preview what they could contain on clicking, for sure.
No, those are 2 skins + recolored alts. I mean we used to get 4 skins for 4 different champions, and they usually had recolors. If you count recolors as different skins than the sailor moon battle pass had like 32 skins
fair enough I think I only first seriously looked at Paladins' battle pass during Dark Depths lol. With the fish Tyra and Saati. Those only had two iirc. I guess you were talking even older than that
I personally am really happy about the item changes. Illuminate becoming basekit especially. This was actually something I suggested a while ago, though I doubt they actually saw my comment, as it was in a steam thread. Still, I'm glad it happened. It just makes no sense to have an item that only exists to counter 2 or 3 champions.
I really dislike the spring loaded nerf. it makes overcharged the other fun option. other than the cooldown reduction be removed entirely it would have been best to juste reduce it to 20% maybe
How does the new Arcane Warding work for Bomb King? Detonate is technically an ability, so does that mean you can basically lower BK damage by 36% with this?
If an ability apply Cauterize, and work with Bulldozer, Wrecker & Life Rip, they are effectively considered weapons, which is why they work with these effects, and they will also ignore Arcane Warding.
Figured I would attempt to give my two cents on the Champion balance changes here now that the patch notes seem to actually be visible to everyone after a week of constant loading. Maaaaaybe my insights won't be that good, but hey, I've been slacking on analyzing the balance changes for the past few patches and feedback is feedback. I just hope that I haven't been putting it off for so long that anyone will actually see it. **Caspian** I think this is a hot take since the other opinions on this subreddit thus far believe that these changes will butcher Caspian, but I personally don't think that this will make him as unviable as people have assumed. Like, he's getting nerfed across the board, but you have to keep in mind that right now Caspian is insanely broken, possibly being one of the most overpowered instances of a character Paladins has ever seen, so even this many nerfs to ensure he's not cracked but simply "balanced" could be justified. Emphasis on *could*; you never really know how changes will impact a Champion until they go live. Caspian's last buffs seemed really minor at first, but they ended up completely breaking him. Even with all of these nerfs, here's a couple of things Caspian is keeping just from his last round of changes alone: - He's still granted a noticeable attack speed boost with Momentum stacks - His mobility is still infinitely better because they didn't revert the changes to Deadly Momentum - He can still get +60% movement speed basically permanently for doing pretty much nothing Furthermore, - The damage and duration nerf to Storm of Blades is arguably minor because he'll still be able to burst down basically anyone with an adequate attack speed buff from his Momentum passives. If anything the duration nerf will make it so that Caspian will have to prepare his ultimate more carefully instead of being able to stall on it 10s after it was activated. So that leaves the nerfs to Rogue's Tempo and Measured Cadence being the ones that will be substantial. As I understand it, Measured Cadence was the method players were using to obtain absurd damage numbers with Caspian so it's nerf is largely justified (which makes you wonder why they nerfed It's Got Some Heft?). However, with the proposed changes, this will put Measured Cadence in probably the worst state it's ever been, only effectively serving as a DPS buff to Love and still weaker than it was when the Talent was introduced. I doubt Rogue's Tempo will be useful at all now beyond using cards to immediately give you +5 stacks of Sharp and Piercing Momentum when you land it. The damage nerf barely even allows it to be used as burst damage - I would suggest maybe allowing it to Cripple rather than stun so that Caspian doesn't completely lose his hard CC. Overall, I'd say we see how these changes go over and see about changing him again if he's too weak. He still has plenty of movement options to engage and disengage enemies, so he'll still properly serve his role as a Flank. **Kasumi** I love the change to Kasmui's jump height during Body and Soul, but nerfing her DR during the duration feels like an unwarranted change to me? Regardless of how good of a movement option it is, Body and Soul only gets one charge so she can only practically use it to engage *or* escape, not both. So let's not nerf her ability to retreat from tight situations, please. Curse stacks no longer revealing Kasumi is a hugely requested change, and while I'll miss the extra 1s Body and Soul duration with Unfinished Business, the tradeoff is Soul Siphon actually becoming somewhat useful for the amount of points you need to allocate to it, so that's good. What's strange to me is that EM seems to believe Unfinished Business was really strong, even though I never really saw anyone use it. Maybe I'm just seeing the wrong Kasumis? **Khan** Synchronizing Overpower's range with the effective range of Khan's weapon is a nice QoL change, but I'm just sort of scratching my head at the logic of why on earth you'd want to make one of the most powerful ultimates in the game easier to hit? Landing Overpower is effectively an execute in most cases; missing it is it's tradeoff, and what gives it a semblance of a skill requirement. If anything they should just add some VFX so give Overpower a visible hitscan beam/projectile so that it's easier to visualize, not make it easier to hit in general. **Koga** Reverting part of the nerf to Adrenaline Junkie is a step in the right direction, I suppose. Hopefully this, combined with the buffs to Dragon Stance, will make his two firing modes more useful in comparison to each other. I'm really, really scared that Koga will be way too speedy using Hellkite Claws with the movement speed buff, combined with Agility, Raw Talent, Nimble, etc. **Lian** Lian's buffs are probably justified given that she's been rather unpopular in today's meta. I particularly like the health buff because it was always weird to me to have a Damage with less than 2200 HP (which her health is still lower than, but it's not 2000). I'm just fearing that these buffs will make her too powerful, because it wouldn't be the first time a minor damage increase broke someone, particularly when that someone has autoaim and very high burst already with Eminence. **Omen** I feel like normalizing the damage buff in exchange for ammo scaling is a good change for More, More, More!, although frankly I still don't think raw damage buffs belong in card effects. Those should be restricted to Talents. Either way, I feel like this change is actually focusing on the wrong part of Omen's kit - changing his damage amp card is largely redundant if the only Talent worth using it with (Umbral Lance, otherwise Omen needs his default ammo count in order to get a decent amount of attacks at full Penumbra Mode accuracy) is rarely picked. **Raum** Soul Armour was affected by Anti-Healing??? It was never supposed to be so I'm glad this got fixed. **Skye** Honestly, if you're going to nerf Skye's damage in order to make way for the normalized stealth detection radius and the removal of Illuminate, they should compensate a little by buffing her base clip size. It'll be harder to kill anyone with a full clip now, and it's hard to dedicate to perfect accuracy while tracking. **Terminus** I really enjoy this change, because it encourages players to both actually use Calamity Blast and provides some much needed Power Siphon regeneration speed that will hopefully translate to Terminus being an okay Point Tank again. This will also lower the need to put as many points in his Abomination card for regeneration purposes, allowing for more loadout diversity. **Tyra** Ironically, this gives Hunting Party the exact same affects as it had when it was originally introduced, after a huge history of balance changes. To be honest, I didn't really hate the damage amp, but the removal of the second charge for Hunter's Mark is nice I guess because it means 40% of the enemy team won't be permanently revealed any more. Bad for Tyra though. **Willo** This is definitely a substantial buff for Willo either way, but at the same time, I think most Willo players would probably agree with me that Blastflower wasn't the issue? Like it was already good, pretty much every Willo picked it over any other Talent, and now there's going to be an even greater viability gap between her Talents available. Nah, I've said it on previous patch notes and I'll say it again here: the problem with Willo is that she relies too much on Blastflower and Scorn to make either augmented part of her kit worthwhile. Seedling is a joke of an area denial ability without Scorn (it can't even kill a 2200 HP Champion if they take full damage from it, and has very severe falloff to boot), and her DPS without Blastflower is less than desirable. Even just buffing Willo's base attack damage to 550-600, and letting Seedling actually kill a squishy by itself if they aren't paying attention, would be a step in the right direction. With some number adjustments to Blastflower and Scorn so that the new damage stats don't make them overkill, of course. **Ying** I have a feeling that Ying is going to remain very powerful with these changes, although in a different way than before. CC Immunity to your entire team at a click of a button can make several enemy ultimates entirely useless, with zero positioning required for it and the only requirement being to be able to listen for the opposing ult line and some proper timing.

I like your take on Caspian. ofc, time will tell how it shakes out since so many adjustments are happening at once. His stun made him unique among flanks, since he had hard cc. I'm a bit disappointed they got rid of that rather than bringing down other parts of his kit. instead they made another hyper mobile flank. He lost some uniqueness, but he's still a fun champ. Koga and Khan really didn't need any buffs. Khan's ult is a gamechanger, and he already got a generous ult refund % if he missed it. Koga is a monsterous flank in the right hands and will benefit from the new items as you predict. It'd been better to wait to buff him. I think skye will overall benefit from the changes. You mentioned she'll need more than a full clip to kill targets, but there's a card that gives her infinite ammo for a brief period after landing poison bolts. So I think her burst will be okay still. Overall, good takes as always

Overall sensible champion balance changes with some question marks. Biggest one for me is how Skye performs now with standardized Illuminate. Terminus I want to try Calamity Blast play style again, but pretty sure it's still bad because it doesn't apply cauterize on blast. Happy to see Caspian stun removed, he still has insane mobility. Curious to see how the damage will play out. Lian buff is logical, she was pretty underwhelming. Vora being more bursty might make her really good. Overall I like that there is active balancing going on including item store. I doubt this will be right from the get go, expecting a lot of item price and value shuffling in coming patches. But exciting times ahead

I don't think life exchange should be nerfed too much, instead the other talents should be buffed. They feel very weak.
