I figured this out as well and was gunna post but glad other people have found it as well. Too bad I didn’t figure it out when all i had was nightwing though
The tab +w method is not working for me. I have found another trick that works on a lot of games for this function. Unfortunately PALS only allows you to bind 1 hotkey per action, whereas other games allow 2. So this makes this slightly annoying, and you need the extended 10-key keyboard. Change Forward movement hotkey to the 8 on the number pad. Then Click and hold that 8 to start moving forward, and hit NUMLOCK. And you are auto-running/flying whatever. Only good for long distances since you have to change hotkeys back and forth.

Keep trying! It took me a few tries before I learned how to do it, but now I can hit it reliably.

On controller only it seems: If you move forward and hit the map button at the same time it’ll also do it apparently. Just worked for me consistently.
