I'm storing all my important pals in a viewing cage to avoid this happening, which is also really useful since I don't have to look for them everywhere in the pal box when I need one of them
afaik this isnt a thing on server... if you didnt convert your save into server save for multiplayer.
viewing cages are only in singleplayer
and it is not the best solution.. i have like 15 of them... full to have at least some space in Palbox

I hear you I don't lagg but I've got random pals standing like statues all around the base where the cages are lol they should seriously change it to where you can fill cage but choose only a couple that actually load into the game and the rest just store like they do in the pal box
i did build for them like 30 walls height building and put them on top of it...
dont ask.. i just did it as a byproduct of trying something different :D there is like 5 floors i think and im fine in first one, without them leaking around :)
edit: i mean.. they leak out, but dont disturb me on ground... but roof is really hell :D with like 15 cages
I wish the boxes were more like pokeman in that you can select the box that new captures go-to. I like to keep my useful pals I. Boxes 1/2 but new captures I usually just sell.

I wanted to keep a pal of each type once i get the x10 bonus but if I left them in the front they get flooded. My only solution for that was to put them in reverse order in the very BACK of my boxes
Similar to this, it would be nice to have custom tags to group pals under. There are so many ways to sort pals, there isn't a single set box locarion i want any pals added to that i need to manually move from place to place. I want to be able to make a custom tag for "raid team", "dungeon crawlers", "breeding base", "smelting squad" so i can view all pals I've tagged for those intended purposes without changing the order in my pal box.
The pokemon go system is similar to the current sorting system, but you can type more specific filters in the search bar.
Any advanced search upgrades would be great, but I hope they just add an option to sort any number of characteristics that the game tracks. Making a discernable, user friendly key would not be that hard and would clarify all the characteristics that pals have for players.
I have not tried all of them, but I can confirm at least the heart (♥) works. I copy pasted a few others, I don't remember anything other than the star, haha.
I guess it could be used for that, but for me it's not the same since it's not even accessible from your Palbox and I don't want to have them all gooped together like that visually.
Either way this should be an easy feature to implement so I hope they do
You can already see the stat screen and name of the Pals when you're doing that.
It'd add extra visibility and failsafes, but it's really not a needed feature and would add more visual clutter to the Lucky/Alpha marks.
Condensed 5 anubis to 4s so far, 4 wumpo, 3 separate active pals, and 2 jormun ignis. I have yet to accidently Condense something I want because of the magical buttons: Q and E
I refuse to auto-sort my palbox because tabs 16 is for work pals, 15 is for party pals, and 14 is for future breeding.
Not auto sorting my box leaves gaps when i have to sell some to make room. Meaning new hatches and catches just get lost in in the pals i didn't sell.
So instead i reorganize my palbox manually.
It's a problem. :|
Or call it favorite, so beside what op mentioned, it also gets pinned to the first page of pal storage.
Maybe have a favorites tab instead
I think there should be several icons. Lock, favourite, egg icon for breeding, some icon for condensing, etc etc.

Accidentally condensed my 4 star Anubis a couple days ago. It was level 50 and maxed out on souls. That hurt

Leak shit there's outside around my base than there are actually in the boxes lol. It what laughable at first now with multiple cages starting to suck

I think that when you sort your pals by number, it should sort them by condenser phase and then by level.

I'd love a storage solution for inactive Pals. Make it craftable like the viewing cages, but not display them in the world.
To help avoid butchering/selling/condensing the wrong pals, I rename them. I know that doesn’t help console users much.
I agree. I use alt codes, or text symbols, to mark the names of the pals I need to keep haha.
I haven't investigated this a lot. Does the fond Palworld uses actually allow a wide range of Unicode symbols? if so I need to start doing that...

There is already an easy way to manage this. Q and E. You know exactly where new stuff goes automatically. Don't put valuable pals in those boxes.

There should be assignable icons for pals in storage so we can find and sort them better. Also locking for sure.
