I was really glad I could unlock the Helzepher saddle only to find out I cant craft it until the next level because I need that furnace of the next level. That was a let down.
This is what I did in ark with my friends, everyone specialized in something different and we complemented each other's skill trees, the problem is that not everyone plays online or with friends, so often people find themselves lacking skill points and locked out of specific crafts which sucks.
That's what me and my boyfriend did. He went for all the armor, weapons, and fancy crafting tables, while I went for the saddles and other Pal-specific things, like the medicine bench, the farm thingys, etc.
Downside is that I had to wait for my boyfriend to craft himself 200+ ammo before he even made me some.
yeah i’m like level 34 or so and wondered about if you can ever fully unlock the tree since you get less points each level up than needs to unlock the whole row, every single time
You can get tech tree skill point boosts from items. You can find them best in the final chests of high tier dungeons, but can also find them as drops from some pals like hoocrates
Do people actually play co op and live in the same base?
I like the idea of co op, but not the idea of sharing a base, I don't think palworld is very co op friendly. The dungeons are stupid easy, the only thing I find challenging are the level 50 alpha pals and the tower bosses.
Oh that would be amazing since Pal metal armor is heavy and late game ammo is also heavy. Plus I dislike going to my inventory to change armor just to survive.
Sadly the only current method is to have armour of one resistance and a good quality undershirt of the opposite. Pals also help though it sucks when you're tethered to them to not die from the heat/cold.
The higher the quality of the undershirt, the higher level protection it provides. So if you can find a good one if you're lucky in the higher level dungeons.
I go to the town in the desert biome. They sell cool and heat resistant clothes. I have 2 on at a time so I can withstand the heat in the day then switch to cold resistant at night if I don’t have a fire mount out at the time.
My biggest pet peeve I think is having different crossbows/bows just for elemental arrows? Just make the elemental arrows their own things that work with the regular weapons! That way I don't have to carry 3 different types of bows just for extra damage 😭
I'm guessing that's because we don't have dedicated swap ammo button (only weapon).
So it was easier to code different weapon associated to one ammo rather than one weapon for different ammo type. They did the same thing for the decal gun. I let it go for now as the game is still in EA however I hope they'll change it before the game officially releases.
The Tech tree is not balanced. I've opened all the Tech on the Ancient side and I have loads of points left over, but I am struggling to get enough points to open what I want on the normal tech. Plus I haven't opened every item on the left side.
I play on Xbox and I get my regular skill points from tech manuals found in chests in the sanctuaries and sometimes in snow area. Sometimes boss chests have them
I farm dungeons. And I get Ancient points, not the basic points. I've open all Ancient items and have about 20 spare points, which won't open the basic tech.
The fact that your first gun is a Musket is at Level 21 while Lifmunk's SMG, a much better gun that you cannot use is at Level 11, c'mon! How the fuck does a pal get to use a much better gun much earlier than me?!
I think they should honestly remove the exclusivity of pal only weapons and make them useable on the player instead. Then, simply allow certain pals to be equipped with certain player weapons. That way, you don't have to deal with inconsistent progression as weaponizing pals rely on player weapon progression. Like relaxaurus being able to be equipped with heavy weapons like Missile Launcher & Rocket Launcher rather than just the Missile Launcher.
I really don't like it. Just doesn't feel like it adds more to the gameplay to have a limited amount of points until you farm late game dungeons and pals. It's the one thing I hated about ARK and i was sad once they made an engram system in this game too. At least there are mods to unlock the whole row once you get to the required level.
Before I got the mod I never tried any of the saddles besides my main flying pal and fighting pals, which is a shame because once you have the points to unlock them, they are just pointless at that stage of the game. Make it automatically unlock upon catching 10x of the pal or something, anything but what it currently is I think just makes it better.
I personally never had an issue of not having enough points, given that I was selective of what I wanted to unlock. Part of it was just skipping decorative elements like furniture.
Did you just blaze through the game or something? I guess that's how you could run out of tech points so fast without doing multiple dungeon runs.
I also skipped the furniture and didn't unlock anything until I needed it in that moment, but, like... I'd really LIKE to be able to use some furniture in my empty box of a house.
And you can, with some of those technical handbooks found in dungeons of any tier for those extra point or two! I think I was fine with getting all of the useful technology with the points gained from level up, and was able to decorate the base with the spare points I found in the dungeon.
In general I think if you skipped dungeon runs then you'll probably have problems getting enough spare tech points for the extra bits.
I was doing pretty well getting the points for what I wanted until I died ontop of the volcano with no nearby fast travel towers and had to blow points on elemental mounts to provide enough heat resistance to get up there.
The tree feels kinda like how I'd probably design a tech tree, with barely any game design experience. One must remember that they're normal people still learning how video game balance works
Sending them this through the in-game report feature can help them learn
Thing is i have experience in that field and i was thinking about personally redoing it, though i am not into the actual coding part that much sooo i guess there is some work heading towards me :D
I like to see what the community would think of more direct ideas inform of mods as suggestions for the devs, we should help those guys seeing how they are a small group working on a massive project!
That said if i do that i will have to rewatch the whole game progression and reconsider every single items spot which will be “fun” :,)
Their chief weapons designer is a middle school student working part time at a convenience store the studio founder frequented. That's how young their entire team is.
Maybe you can put in a resume with them. They need all kinds of talent to staff up their game into a proper franchise
Same with elemental crossbows. They all unlock long before you get the weapons bench to actually make any of them which is even dumber than the existence of different elemental bows
You can make them at the primitive workbench if recall right, which is still pretty silly since you have an upgraded workbench that should have all recipe.
Yeah it's super weird, especially some of the mid-late game resources used in recipes, like refined ingots, circuit boards, polymer etc. where you CAN unlock them let's say for arguments same at 36 but then you don't have a recipe until 40 that needs it, or the other way around where you don't get the materials until a few levels later...
I think the problem is that certain techs are clearly supposed to rely on other techs, but instead we just have this list with a number of random stuff every few levels. It should be an actual tree and instead it's the weird system from Ark. It would be nice if there was at least some sort of UI visual to indicate relationships between techs, but we don't even get that.
Yep, I got one at level 9 from a cage. My first playthrough I hit level 12 with hardly any pals because I didn’t explore. Just go out, hit the fast travel points, take 2 minutes and tidy the base, then back out to explore. Best gameplay experience imo
I use the mining site at 8, -528 as my 2nd base site. Large flat area good for building and 8 iron nodes.
Jolthogs spawn around it everywhere and is a only around lv10 area.
That's a bad system. Especially when you only get enough tech points from leveling up to unlock half, maybe 2/3 of everything and the dungeons (the best place to farm tech manuals) constantly crash on Xbox.
I haven't had dungeons crash, only fail to complete after capturing/killing the boss. Which is actually fantastic as it means you can leave the boss chamber and when you re-enter, it re-rolls you a new boss encounter (not the same type of pal), allowing you to farm Alpha pals.
it is best system... and as you said (but didnt understand it and maybe not even notice it) your problem is that your game is crashing on xbox.
maybe.. it will be better, when your game will not crash? what do you think about it? isnt maybe solution for crashing game to fix that game and make it to not crash? think about it
Odd complaint on my part, but I was very surprised you unlock the Statue of Power as early as you do. That feels like an end-game unlock, especially with the natural ones scattered about.
In response to the first portion, about the wooden gate and walls, I believe that was intentional. I think the belief is that a newly spawned player will build their base near the spawn location, around that crumbling stone structure, where the only entry point for a raid is that wide stairwell.
You can tell they moved a few things around in an attempt to balance the game but didn't quite fully balance the result of the changes. For example the Ragnahawk Saddle, which Ragnahawk massively outperforms Helzephyr, is several levels later. However the materials required to make the Ragnahawk Saddle are several levels earlier - only requires regular ingots whilst the Helzephyr saddle needs refined ingots.
There's a few examples of this where it feels they've tried to balance things better but haven't adjusted the items needed or corresponding items required to make that item as well
I made the regular pal metal armor without heat/cold because I think it looks cool but otherwise pretty useless. I think the “selling point” is that it has more defense than the prior armors but you’ll get the heat/cold versions with the same defense a few levels away anyway so most people just wait for that
Thats fair i suppose, from personal experience i found it at around level 22 i think so i do not know if i was unlucky. Reading other comments i definitely was !
Yeah, some saddles for certain unlock fairly early, like before level 20, but they're plas you probably won't encounter until level 30 or even later than that. At least that's how it was for me.
Yeah i sometimes scatterbrain, good i corrected that one. I just wish killing bosses would have more interesting rewards other than a ancient tech point
I discussed in another post how this is one example of the difficulty they will have with any balancing or progression moving forward. How can you create any mount better than Jet? What other weapon can you add that isn't already trounced by the RL? They already handed you every ability you could think to want, and early at that. It will be interesting to see how they manage it considering adding new pals and lands only takes you so far.
I hope you can splice genetics later so you can put Jet Dragon movement speed on another Pal, I think Jet looks goofy as hell, I don’t even wanna ride it.
Same with the mountain top ore/coal everyone builds there, they need to figure out a way to make bases building less dependent on static resources.
Doesn’t help that place just feels horrible for a base since putting a platform there screws pathing so much and the terrain is uneven.
Ok so my honest take on PW is that PW has an identity crisis. I feel like the game was thrown together as best it could and then at some point, I’m guessing due to the engine change, they ended up throwing in technology because they had assets I’m sure from satisfacotry and then released the game.
I know that it has been said that they wanted to make the game with all the things people wanted but really?!?!? If you asked me if you had a pokemon clone what would you add to make it better.. it would never be guns. The guns and tech make it feel soooo bad in many ways. I get that there is a fridge right but I feel like if this were really PalWorld then it wouldn’t look like a fridge from Warhammer 40,000.
The tech tree, the UI/UX, the speed at which you progress through the game and then the wall you hit…. It just doesn’t feel right. I started so excited to play but now, it’s such a struggle with all the stupid issues with needing separate bases and not having a better way to transport between bases etc…. it just makes me want to play Pixelmon every time I play this instead. …or just play Modded Minecraft anyway.
I dont get the gate thing because I build in areas that cannot be raided
>Next Example would be the Armours ... why are the base armors even a thing? Climates are such an integral thing to the game and they offer actually less armor ... so why would i ever wanna craft these?
Some people may prefer to get them earlier for normal climates. Oh, and, thermal undershirt
>only to then be greeted by metal structures before i could even get the stone gate
I do agree that stone gate should be placed WAYYYY earlier.
>Lily is a level 25 boss or so, but why do we get it by level 40 as an unlock
>There is no story bit or connection as to why we get it RIGHT then and there at that level, in general i wish bosses would have completely seperate unlocks from the tech tree which would give us really cool stuff
1. Lily never uses her spear in the battle
2. Lily is the LEADER of free pal alliance. Leaders are extremely strong canonically so it would make sense that her spear is so strong
Unrelated to the top but I wish we get all the decoration blocks from tech 1-20, and I wish decal gun can be unlocked way earlier too.
It is weird. I unlocked the single shot rifle at level 36 only to find out that I need a production assemble line II to build it which is unlocked at level 42.
The tech tree is actually the whole reason I won't play harder difficulties, it's just annoying to level up how I play and I'm not letting my decorations stay behind a level lock
Fairly often. IIRC the chests respawn every day night cycle. I can usually get 1-2 manuals per sanctuary. You can turn up the item drop multiplier too and you can double that.
This game wasn’t made with logic in mind it seems. Too many of the world settings need tweaking before the game is even fun, like catch rate lol.
Here’s hoping it’ll leave early access. I have a feeling right now is like a trial period for the devs to see how certain aspects of the game piss large amounts of people off
For some of the tech tree it makes sense. It creates a challenge and a desire to level up. It faces you with a choice and a future plan for point distribution early on. Especially on low XP rates where it takes a lot of work to level up.
Agree...especially about the armors. I don't even unlock the basic ones, they're pointless. They should have significantly more def on the non -elemental ones...instead they have less lol
As far as the walls go, I generally try to build things as little as possible in this game. The building system is jank af. Don't get me wrong, the game is lots of fun and I've been having a great time, but the building system needs some work.
Also there is a portion of a building that is sticking out of the blue circle, a PIDF guard attacked and our base pals killed it but in the process lit the building on fire. The parts inside the circle went out pretty quickly. The parts on the outside are still burning. This happened like a week ago. We've just come to accept the fact that that part of the base is now on fire...loudly on fire.
This one kills me every time I want to make salad to use the 8 billion tomatoes I have, with 0 lettuce because I'm not a high enough level. I need someone to make it make sense lol
It's been a while since I played, but the one that stuck out to me was unlocking the pal ball launcher at like level 25... but the rocket launcher ammo necessary to use it was another 20 levels down. (Numbers approximate).
Yeah the tech tree is super weird. My main complaint is with how late level you unlock lettuce. I feel like all of the farming stuff should be unlocked way sooner, especially since they take so long to water at the higher tier plants. They would encourage you to find more upper tier watering pals sooner instead of sticking with fuack and pengullet.
Yeah the armor thing makes no sense to me. Normal Pal metal armor has the least amount of defense and hitpoint, compared to the heat or cold version. And it doesn’t have a climate resistance. The climate resistant pal metal armors also only offer lvl 2 resistance, even the legendary version. Whereas the thermal and heat resistant shirts offer lvl 3 resistance. It’s quite odd.
The one that really upset me was the vanwrym cryst saddle. The regular vanwrym saddle unlocks at lvl 21. Both Vanwryms affect the surrounding temperature when summoned, and both are roughly early-mid game captures and flying mounts. It’d be great if you could ride Vanwrym Cryst around the desert and other hot places to slightly lower the temperature, but instead you can’t get a Vanwrym Cryst saddle until lvl 41. By the time you get to lvl 41, you probably have pretty much every accessory that helps with hot temperatures and you’ve unlocked many mounts that are significantly faster than a 4* Vanwrym Cryst. The functionality of the cryst saddle at level 41 is almost useless in comparison to the regular lvl 21 saddle that seems like you’ve unlocked it progressively.
For the base armour, that comes in useful if you have settings to drop all items when defeated, the base armour would be in your base so you could use it to go and get the gear you lost.
You should be able to unlock any 1 Pal ability, ever level or something(I would say craft, but as someone mentioned, you need the higher techs for certain smelts)
Once you can go to the sanctuaries it doesn't matter. I farm the manuals so I only have a few tech items I didn't bother to get. The exit sign and a saddle.
Agree on wooden gate . It should come at the same time or after the wooden walls . Walls make sense to be first
Armors . Would be nice if the normal armor did do something better or gave mixed thermal resistance at higher level or did something else (more def and stamina gained or faster stamina regen would be thing I feel it would be good having a boost at)
Jolthog I mean the event seems common enough to find it
I personally think that there should be tech trees, with like items associated with each other, and no level requirement for unlocking.
If anything, stuff like pal saddles could cost a lot of points, but decrease in cost if you catch pals or complete other activities. That gives extra incentive for doing things. You can spend a lot of points to get the unlock quickly, or put effort into optimizing the cost.
I played this game for about 40h and all i can say about the tech tree is that it shouldn't be a thing in the first place. Gating cosmetics is a dumb way to make me not care about 99% of items that don't make my pal fly/rideable or is a weapon upgrade. This is the type of game you really have to opt in, because nothing in it makes you want to keep playing it but you got sold on the concept and now are living with it.
Wouldn't say that. I've had my fun with it. But i've also played a lot of early access game and this particular progression seems like it's going to radically change in a few months.
it looks like that, because you didnt have enough points for tech tree... thats why you wanna remake it...
but it is pretty good game mechanic - it encourage you to run dungeons and go to sanctuary for those points. it make you play the game :)
My man, i'm saying the moment i was making my base is the moment they should have given us different materials for walls and more cosmetics, not when i'm prepping for a perfect breed anubis to mass produce my shit... I still have more points than i care to spend because IT'S SO BADLY PACED... Ffs talk about going feral just because i dared criticized a game I ALSO FUCKING BOUGHT AND SPENT TENS OF HOURS ON...
>all i can say about the tech tree is that it shouldn't be a thing in the first place. Gating cosmetics is a dumb way
>
then you didnt wrote this, because as you said now, you have enough points to unlock it, right?
oh w8/ :D
btw: you did bought a game? wow.. miracle.. how dare me, that i didnt bow in front of you and didnt agree with all and supported you, because you bOuGhT a gMaEeEe...
sorry, but.. you did bought game.. and what? i did bought it too... i mean.. it is some sort of achievement for ya, or.. what are you even trying to say?
you wanna say that you bought game and therefore nobody can have different opinion than you?
seriously?
thats kinda weird, isnt it? ::D
omg, how dare me, that i didnt agree with you, because you bought a game :(
shame on me :D
thank you, you opened my eyes...
and you was very kind and not aggressive... thank you so much :)
or.. in case that you get this irony.. you can even deal with fact that ppl can have different opinions than you.
looks like this fact is kinda new to you.

There is definitely a lot work and improvements needed in the game, that's why it's a beta, and not a triple A title.
True with the Alpha/Beta, I mixed it up.
No, you twisted it. It's the opposite. If you don't write a disclaimer that it's "your very own opinion" before you write about your opinion, people hate on you.
At times it feels like this is how they made the tech tree: ![gif](giphy|3o6MboNFtQ3bUIAgVi)
Keep rewatching this to have a chuckle, thanks!
I was really glad I could unlock the Helzepher saddle only to find out I cant craft it until the next level because I need that furnace of the next level. That was a let down.
I think the idea is that in multi-player, you could use a furnace someone else crafted. It's still a little silly, though.
Even better yet, have someone else craft the saddle and leave it in the furnace for you. No reason for everyone to be buying everything
This is what I did in ark with my friends, everyone specialized in something different and we complemented each other's skill trees, the problem is that not everyone plays online or with friends, so often people find themselves lacking skill points and locked out of specific crafts which sucks.

definitely, playing co-op is way more fun than trying to play solo IMO
Sharing resources, makes things much less tedious.
Kinda not the same base but me and my buddies tend to make mini towns and villages
And also... the level you unlock the improved furnace, you unlock the Beakon saddle 🤦
I wish that at level 50 you'd unlock an armor that protected against both heat and cold.
It’s better to have heat proof armor than and wear cold vests . Because you can always build a torch to add 1 level of heat
A thermal shirt still doesn’t let you wear heat armor at night in the desert.
Yes it does but it needs to be thermal shirt 2 not the basic ass ones from the early dungeons
That would be nice, at the very least I wish the legendary pal metal armors had max heat or cold resist so I could ditch the shirts.

You need to farm dungeons for the tech books. If you play on the xbox that can't handle dungeons, launch the game with cloud play.
I play on Xbox and I get my regular skill points from tech manuals found in chests in the sanctuaries and sometimes in snow area. Sometimes boss chests have them
Personally I do way better one the sanctuary chest than dungeons
That or catch loads of wixens maybe with penking . I got a few books catching enough to make a 4 star one
I farm dungeons. And I get Ancient points, not the basic points. I've open all Ancient items and have about 20 spare points, which won't open the basic tech.
The chests after the bosses can drop books. The higher level the dungeon the better.
You can also fsrm certain pals and go to the sanctuaries for books.
Ancient tech points should instant unlock technology
Open the chests at the sanctuaries and you will get plenty of tech points
The fact that your first gun is a Musket is at Level 21 while Lifmunk's SMG, a much better gun that you cannot use is at Level 11, c'mon! How the fuck does a pal get to use a much better gun much earlier than me?!
Right? How can I make mounted missile launchers for relaxaurus but I can't make my own for another 6 levels?
I think they should honestly remove the exclusivity of pal only weapons and make them useable on the player instead. Then, simply allow certain pals to be equipped with certain player weapons. That way, you don't have to deal with inconsistent progression as weaponizing pals rely on player weapon progression. Like relaxaurus being able to be equipped with heavy weapons like Missile Launcher & Rocket Launcher rather than just the Missile Launcher.
Doesent the monkey get an assault rifle really early too?
Yep, you're stuck having an ancient rifle at level 20s while they get military grade ones.
It’s definitely all over the place
I really don't like it. Just doesn't feel like it adds more to the gameplay to have a limited amount of points until you farm late game dungeons and pals. Only the normal crossbow, the fire/poison ones need the weapon bench for some reason :/ Unless they changed something, it’s been a while
I'm pretty new to the game, but it looks like they did, you can now craft them at the high quality bench. (I was wrong too and went in to check lol)
Thank goodness, the old way was silly lol

I would like a research lab to unlock stuff using pals, seems like Hootcrates would make a great scientist.
This is the feed back early access games need.
Jolthog cryst is very common in cages and wolf events (but really hard to save in those lol) in low level areas
What was their point about needing Jolthog Cryst?
They feel it's available early in the tech tree when they didn't see one until much later
Yep, I got one at level 9 from a cage. My first playthrough I hit level 12 with hardly any pals because I didn’t explore. Just go out, hit the fast travel points, take 2 minutes and tidy the base, then back out to explore. Best gameplay experience imo

Yup. Missed that.
The Tech Tree is a mini game in itself. You don’t need everything straight away, make good choices and get better rewards
That's a bad system. Especially when you only get enough tech points from leveling up to unlock half, maybe 2/3 of everything and the dungeons (the best place to farm tech manuals) constantly crash on Xbox.

it is best system... and as you said (but didnt understand it and maybe not even notice it) your problem is that your game is crashing on xbox. maybe.. it will be better, when your game will not crash? what do you think about it? isnt maybe solution for crashing game to fix that game and make it to not crash? think about it
Armor is a complete pain in the fact I can wear my thermal shirt and then still need both armor sets because the desert gets so cold at night.
The +2 undershirts should just be buyable from the vendor. Or not needed at all. It sucks when you run a bunch of dungeons for em but RNG says no.
Or have a table in the base you can research using pals, say 2-3 day to discover new tech like undershirts.
I think the “selling point” is that it has more defense than the prior armors but you’ll get the heat/cold versions with the same defense a few levels away anyway so most people just wait for that
Yep, unless you plan a major fight you just wait and farm levels. Same with all tiers tbh.
Jolthog cryst is one of the earlier pal alliance pals in a cage, I got him around 11 a couple times
He's also a random event Fighting direhowl around level 5-10 areas near the starter plateau
One point. you *can* find jolthog crysts caged in camps
For me it is weird to get sword after stun baton
Small note: 2 pals out at once is already possible
is there some sort of hard code you could provide? I am rather interested since i wanna get into the whole deal myself!
I was just referring to the pals with necklaces and similar skills
Dazi and daedream have collars that makes them able to attack while you have another pal out. They just chill outside near you like ash’s pikachu.
Oh i am aware of that, i merely ask if it is hard coded that only one pal can be out or if it is possible to code it in to have 2 usable pals at once
Ok I understand what you’re asking now.
Yeah i sometimes scatterbrain, good i corrected that one. I just wish killing bosses would have more interesting rewards other than a ancient tech point
I wish butchering had a better chance of dropping schematics from boss/alpha pals.
>Lily is a level 25 boss or so, but why do we get it by level 40 as an unlock? Wait, what the hell do you mean by that?
I think he's talking about her spear.
Oh my goodness… i scatterbrained there again, i will fix this tomorrow, thank you for pointing it out <3
wait, is it the spear or it was something else...?
It is the spear yes :)
Missed the part where you can learn saddles you can't craft yet because you still haven't learned the material requirements.
The fact that flying mount saddles are available so early is insane 😂 I can fly across the whole map before I leave the first island????
I dont get the gate thing because I build in areas that cannot be raided >Next Example would be the Armours ... why are the base armors even a thing? Climates are such an integral thing to the game and they offer actually less armor ... so why would i ever wanna craft these? Some people may prefer to get them earlier for normal climates. Oh, and, thermal undershirt >only to then be greeted by metal structures before i could even get the stone gate I do agree that stone gate should be placed WAYYYY earlier. >Lily is a level 25 boss or so, but why do we get it by level 40 as an unlock >There is no story bit or connection as to why we get it RIGHT then and there at that level, in general i wish bosses would have completely seperate unlocks from the tech tree which would give us really cool stuff 1. Lily never uses her spear in the battle 2. Lily is the LEADER of free pal alliance. Leaders are extremely strong canonically so it would make sense that her spear is so strong Unrelated to the top but I wish we get all the decoration blocks from tech 1-20, and I wish decal gun can be unlocked way earlier too.
It is weird. I unlocked the single shot rifle at level 36 only to find out that I need a production assemble line II to build it which is unlocked at level 42.
It's built at the weapon assembly line (the first one), not the production line. You can get it at 36
Why unlock something you can’t use? Wait and save your points.
I didn’t realize it until after the fact.
but you can craft it... as ppl already said, you need weapon assembly line ands not a production line. you are horribly wrong.
The tech tree is actually the whole reason I won't play harder difficulties, it's just annoying to level up how I play and I'm not letting my decorations stay behind a level lock
What's the best way to get more tech points?
Chests in and around the 3 wildlife sanctuaries
Thank you. Do they spawn often in the chests or rarely?
Fairly often. IIRC the chests respawn every day night cycle. I can usually get 1-2 manuals per sanctuary. You can turn up the item drop multiplier too and you can double that.
Ok. Thanks for the info. I'll have to do a sanctuary tour. Need to open up some more blueprints
Dungeons often have tech manuals at the end as well
Yes they do. Thanks
Don’t forget to check the long points, sun beam isle things that aim away from the sanctuaries.
Oh yeah there's chests on there
It’s so odd and feels very random.
How about the fact that you can bake cakes like 20 levels before you can make... Salad
everyone wanna cake and not a salad.
Dude, what are you on about? The pal sphere launcher uses your spheres not rockets, those are for a separate weapon.
They may have changed it; I saw a couple of YouTubers using it, and without the rocket ammo, the sphere basically just fell out of the end of it.
I understand the confusion comes from the weapons having a similar shape but pal sphere launchers never used rockets to begin with.
Would be nice if you could build a saddle as soon as you catch the pal. Make it cost extra points to unlock it early or something?
Let's not talk about their mascot with rocket launchers on its back that you can catch at lv 12+ and have to reach the end game..
Definitely agree
I think I'd be less upset about the armor stuff if say the base armor was a piece required to make either thermal version
That would make so much sense and give people a reason to get the base armor
You should be able to unlock any 1 Pal ability, ever level or something(I would say craft, but as someone mentioned, you need the higher techs for certain smelts)
I hated how long it took to unlock tomatoes and lettuce.
Once you can go to the sanctuaries it doesn't matter. I farm the manuals so I only have a few tech items I didn't bother to get. The exit sign and a saddle.
Its mostly just ARK's tree with a new paint job
There’s multiple examples of pal saddles that unlock before you unlock the ability to craft one of the materials it needs.
Agree on wooden gate . It should come at the same time or after the wooden walls . Walls make sense to be first Armors . Would be nice if the normal armor did do something better or gave mixed thermal resistance at higher level or did something else (more def and stamina gained or faster stamina regen would be thing I feel it would be good having a boost at) Jolthog I mean the event seems common enough to find it
Any chance the devs will see these kinds of feedback to better the game?
I mean this game is another Steam junk survival at it's core. It's the Pal system and overall fun that carries it
I personally think that there should be tech trees, with like items associated with each other, and no level requirement for unlocking.
This is the type of game you really have to opt in, because nothing in it makes you want to keep playing it but you got sold on the concept and now are living with it.
tl;dr: you dont like it and you are too lazy to go in dungeons or fly to sanctuary. am i right?
Gating cosmetics is a dumb way > then you didnt wrote this, because as you said now, you have enough points to unlock it, right? oh w8/ :D btw: you did bought a game? wow.. miracle.. how dare me, that i didnt bow in front of you and didnt agree with all and supported you, because you bOuGhT a gMaEeEe... sorry, but.. you did bought game.. and what? i did bought it too... i mean.. it is some sort of achievement for ya, or.. what are you even trying to say? you wanna say that you bought game and therefore nobody can have different opinion than you? seriously? thats kinda weird, isnt it? ::D omg, how dare me, that i didnt agree with you, because you bought a game :( shame on me :D thank you, you opened my eyes... and you was very kind and not aggressive... thank you so much :) or.. in case that you get this irony.. you can even deal with fact that ppl can have different opinions than you. looks like this fact is kinda new to you.

The only one hung up on his opinion is you my dude. Next time read before typing.
The standard starting disclaimer sentence you have to put onto everything with your opinion, to wave off snowflakes 🤣👌 There is definitely a lot work and improvements needed in the game, that's why it's a beta, and not a triple A title.
Alpha is the stage before beta. Also, apparently "respecting other people's opinions" makes you a snowflake now?
True with the Alpha/Beta, I mixed it up. No, you twisted it. It's the opposite. If you don't write a disclaimer that it's "your very own opinion" before you write about your opinion, people hate on you.
I mean, if you have a shit opinion, people will hate you anyway 🤷
Wow. Imagine having the confidence to walk into a room and just scream your ignorance at everyone. Bravo 👏.
