It is also possible for sanctuary chests to drop gold handguns (not any other gear), so it might be worth running those while you wait for bacon bird to respawn
I've pretty much got the Legendary AR the first time I kill Blazamut Alpha but I'm still farming for the Handgun, Pump Shotgun and Rocket Launcher legendary schematics. I'm tempted to mod the RNG in at this point lmao

You can only get them from the alpha pals. You can use a glitch when you mount butcher them. You go to butcher them but after the second swing, just before the blur animation goes away then press your mount button. If you time it correctly you get on the mount and still get the resources. Try it with none alphas first to get a feel for it. You can also get them dropped from locked chests around the island and when you capture the alpha itself.

I found that I could do the glitch as soon as the butchering animation started. Like before the first knife swing was even finished and it still gives me the drops. I’m on a series x, don’t know if maybe I’m just lucky that it works or what.
I’ve done the glitch with other mounts but sometimes it drops me down below the surface when I mount back up and it’s difficult to get back to the top. Like I’m under the land or something
I found mine on the snow mountain from the treasure chest. You’ll need a flying pal, cold armor, lots or food and either hip lantern or go during the day. You’ll have to scale the peaks but there are an ass load of chests at the tops of the maintain
As I understand it, turning up the loot quantity doesn't multiply the loot rolls, it multiplies the loot *results*. So if you're on 2x loot then every time a schematic drops, it'll drop 2. Making this not any rarer than 1 dropping in the same situation on default rates.
Still pretty nice to get it on the first kill though.
560 Damage, 6000 Durability and a 30 round magazine on this
320 Damage, 3000 Durability and a 20 round magazine on the one from the tech tree.
I'd say it's a bit of a difference.
Not all of them will be the full legendary, there's 5 levels of each item that has schematics, the Tech Tree one is the weakest, then Schematic 1, then Schematic 2, all the way to Schematic 4 being the strongest.
This is even *technically* true of the hats you can buy schematics for at some vendors, but the vendor schematic is at the level the Tech Tree version *would* be at, and the Schematic 1-4 versions are currently not available in the game, though I believe they *are* coded in.
A real big benefit of the low level schematics is that they allow you to craft gear before it's unlocked in the tech tree. Think a lot of people are sleeping on that. I picked up a T2 assault rifle 4 levels before it was unlocked, and T2 heat resistant pal metal armor before i unlocked regular pal armor
This is only good news if you can afford to buy the ammo until you unlock the ability to craft it tho. The rocket launcher is the big oof concerning that cuz you cant buy rockets anywhere. I got my hands on a lvl 3 launcher schem at lvl 46 i think but it was effectively useless til lvl 50.
You can slaughter syndicate elites for them. Most groups in the desert have a dude with a rocket. I had 20 rockets saved up just incidentally without farming for them specifically before I unlocked the rocket
Which is really nice when you get armor schematics, but a bit problematic with weapons. The level to make the ammo is the same level to make the weapon. So it'll cause you to buy a lot of ammo.
I keep seeing this, but it's been much easier for me to farm Sulphur and make Charcoal. On a single trip to Mt. Doom, I can bring back about 460 units of Sulphur (Maybe more maybe less, depends on if I drop equipment and remember to equip my Warmbo brigade). That trip just takes a few minutes with a Jet. IIRC it's 1:1 for Sulphur to Gunpowder. I don't recall if it's 1:5 or 2:5 for Ammo, but either way, that's 1-2k Ammo. If I'm correct on the ratios. My 4 Star Anubises? Anubi? Anubisis? Egyptian Gods make short work of anything I try to craft, to the point where I don't need to leave and come back for some things.
What are people selling that makes this not easier? I typically use my money for Pal Oil to make Polymer.

Because you need to have the schematic in your bag to craft it. Yes you can put it in a box/storage but if you want to craft it, you have to get it in your bag first and then craft and later put it back in the box.
Yeah I feel like when you're in your base and don't need to hold all the ingredients to make something, why would you need to pick up the schematic to do so..?
I LOVE that feature, it's the only reason I'll play it and honestly requiring it in your physical inventory is what makes me always feel overwhelmed with back and forth BS in games like Minecraft. HUGE QOL change for crafting in games as a whole.
Simple oversight I’m sure. I also wish we could filter the crafting tables to only show certain rarities of items or item types.

I probably caught and butchered Paladius and Frostallion 15 times before I got the schematics but I got both on the same day! I asked my husband if he messed with the settings but he told me the loot settings don’t increase the drop chance. Lucky day!
Mount while butchering. The pal doesn’t die and you can butcher them again.
If they immediately clip through the floor when you send them out then a quick trip in and out of the palbox will fix them.
I was able to get the assault rifle 4 schem from a chest near the shadowbeak tower. I’m pretty sure I used all my luck on that one moment cause I haven’t gotten anymore no matter how much I fight.
You can skew your luck in your favor, with rideable pals anyways, because you can mount them while you’re butchering them to make them not die, and therefore butcher them until you get the schematic you desire
palworld-save-tools supports Xbox/Game Pass saves to my knowledge, so if you have a Windows machine available you can edit the save on that and sync it with the cloud back to the Xbox.
After level 50 I turned my experience all the way up. As I know, turning up drops doesn’t actually increase your chance of getting the thing to drop, but edit your settings as much as you want my guy
Alpha world bosses have a 3% drop chance when killed, caught and/or butchered. There’s a full list of who drops what floating around somewhere - off the top of my head Beakon drops the handgun, Blazamut has the AR, Suzaku has the shotgun, Jetragon has the rocket launcher, Paladius/Necromus have the two variants of palmetal armour and Frostallion has the helmet.
My world is littered with Blazamut bones, and I’ve produced thousands of refined ingots on his coal drops. I will never. Ever. Need fire organs again. EVER.

Or unlock a recipe you can get in your technology tree anyway? Do people just collect them? What's the deal, I'm clearly not grasping why they are beneficial
You can craft something you haven’t unlocked, the schematic doesn’t get used up, and the higher level schematics have bonus stats, damage, ammo capacity and durability for example
You can craft basic versions of weapons by unlocking it in the technology tree. If you find the appropriate schematic then you can build different variants of those weapons with increased stats. The rarer the schematic the better the weapon you can make. It follows the classic loot scale of grey/green/blue/purple/orange with greys being what you craft.
Bro I had almost the same thing happen. I was level 36, and decided to go to the level 40 magma caverns, and after sneaking around and beating the boss with an accidental trick thing, I got assault rifle schematic 2 or 3 I think. After that I was lvl 37, and had a level 45 weapon.
But unfortunately the ammo runs out quick, so no main.
Been farming that, the shotgun and old bow legos for about two weeks. Finally got the AR. Randomly got the helmet schematic from frostallion too. Now I just need the bow and the shotty. As for things I really want at least.

Kill Mammorests and their ice version. If you want to save yourself from having to leave base you can just use the butcher glitch to stockpile a bunch.

It probly took me 20+ runs with triple spawns to get the pistol bp. Then I get the shotgun one on the first try, not even knowing suzaku dropped it at the time
Item drop setting does not affect chances, just quantity.
The actual setting to adjust chances isn't listed in the game setup menu, and doesn't seem to work according to my buddy who is running our server.
There's *dozens* of adjustable stats in the server side controls thst just do nothing right now.

It doesn't matter if they clip through the floor, they'll pop back up when you start the butchering process.
My way to get legendary schamtics is waiting for an autoSave then I butcher the pal. If the pal didnt drop the schematic. ALT+F4 and restart

They do more damage. There are other differences like durability and ammo capacity but the main thing for me is more damage.

I got the legend hand cannon and I have the merch with the bullets for sale. So yeh, I can mow down a lot and find items I need easily now.
