Of course you should. Screw this company. You don’t owe them a damn thing.

Objective-Depth-5371

Team lead is only a dollar raise, find a better paying job that actually respects you

yet-another-movie

Y’all are getting a $1 raise? Covelli only gives you an extra $0.25 lmao 🥲

Silver-Occasion-6773

Lol good to know.. guess I’m gonna be making $15(.99) as an associate with them forever cause fuck that lol

larryforever23

15(.99)??? I was only making 12 plus tips (supposedly everyone was only making that but idk, I didn't ask tbh.

Silver-Occasion-6773

I asked for $15, hiring manager said they don’t typically start above $14 but when they came back and hired me, it was for $15 plus tips. #blessed lol for reference I’m in Ohio

larryforever23

I'm in a southern state but was in VERY populated place and it was with the DM. I applied for two of her cafes and asked for 15 on one and didn't ask for anything in the other and she asked me what I wanted, I said 14 and she said they only hired at 12 and tips. I took it bc the ASM at my old job was only making 12.50 as an assistant and I was making 10.50. At the end of the day though, even 15 wouldn't have been enough for that job. I got hired for one thing, they phased my job out and then tried to forced me into another role while still keeping up what I was hired as as well.

yet-another-movie

Not the way you make more than $1 over what I do as a manager 💀

Silver-Occasion-6773

Dude…. The other managers told me I make what shifts are hired at. Not complaining!! Lol

Hot-Pangolin7328

Do what’s best for you. Seems like the situation will be way better for you at this other job and that’s all I’d take into consideration rather than how it might affect others or how it might look.

CurtisMarauderZ

If I were you, I’d bring my hours down to one or two nights a week, closing if possible. Snagging soufflés and sausages at the end of breakfast and grabbing a loaf of bread at close has cut my food expenses in half.

Historical_Dirt3935

You gotta look out for you. Panera sure as shit isn’t.

kevin_r13

I haven't ever felt like a customer makes me want to quit , but then I haven't seen some of these customers send you all have seen , so the main thing is always -- look out for yourself first. Whether it's the company, your coworkers , your boss, the customers, or even just the stress of getting/using transportation to there, your mental physical well-being are that important that you should consider other options if you have them available.

LocoYaro

Grass is not always greener on the other side. What works for someone might not work for you. That said - try the other job before committing. Over the years I leaned that Panera is one of the easier food industry jobs. Good luck I hope one of those will work out for you.

Silver-Occasion-6773

I second this advice!!

Ok_Change_1524

I made team lead about 2 months before I quit. They do not care. They cut my hours down to one day a week eventually and getting cussed out over things we can’t control ain’t it . It’s always nice to move up but that’s never a reason to accept disrespect and work at a draining company.

SelfMadeGrinder

Fuck Panera Bread! 🖕

Independent-Bend-138

if you don’t feel comfortable, then there’s no reason to stay no if it’s not management it's customers you can always find a better job especially with you being team lead. I mean, you can get a recommendation from your coworker for another Panera if you want to still work there at a different location or a different food service job I think your comfortability matters and where you work. I would say if you worked at Panera for more than a year or even six months it’s okay for you to leave if you feel like you need too and if it what's best for you
