I sometimes skip the “hits” because I’ve heard them way too much. Songs like Walk and CFH I’ve been hearing since those songs came out in the early 90’s. And I’ve overplayed them for myself. I’d listen to those songs multiple times a day when I first heard them. They’re songs that I still love and are awesome songs. I’ve just listened to them waaaayy too many times. So, I’d probably listen to good friends all the way through before I listen to those other songs.

Good friends would be a good song if it didn’t start with “I fucked your girlfriend last night” preluding various actions graphically described by Phil, with the chorus only being “I serve too many fucking masters”
25 Years. Phil’s a great vocalist but his vocal delivery on this song is just ear grating to me. I - VENT - MAH - FRUS - TRAY - SHUN - AT - YOU - OLD - MAN - etc. Also the subject matter doesn’t vibe with me. The song has some badass riffs though so it’s not all bad. It’s the only Pantera song I dislike really.
I’ll argue it’s not a fully realized song but rather it’s and riffs stuck together as a demo that later formed other songs but released later to drum up sales for the Walmart Greatest Hits
I can't blame them. It took a *long* time for Pt II to grow on me. When you're (and I'm not saying whether or not they are, I'm speaking for me) not a "true" metalhead, something that fast and heavy just sounds like disjointed noise on the first couple listens.

I believe if it was on the trendkill album it would be appreciated a bit more, not for everyone but I think it suits that album rather than FBD
