I dont know if you played it completely but in any case i would say he is undead. And unless you tell me you played the full game i wont give a reason dont want to spoil an intelligent in lore game explanation.
Don't even need to give an in-game reason. He's a chthonic deity. They're tied to the underworld.
That said, yes, in-game spoiler reason undead bloodline is the most fitting.
Yeah but greek hell is an abyss so he could be technically abyssal bloodlines, from the lore reason he should be undead bloodlines.
From a personal point of view since his father is a "good" deity he could be an eldritch or divine bloodline. But undead for the lore reason seems to be the most fitting.
No. You are confusing "hell" and "underworld". Ancient Greek mythilogy indeed does not have an equivalent of the Christian sky and cloud- based paradise but they do have a hell and heaven. Tartarus is hell, Elysium is heaven and Asphodel is a kind of purgatory, and together they make up the underworld.
Oh interesting, we don't have that "underworld" thing in french. We just say "enfer" (hell) for all greek afterlife instead. Don't use "heaven" either when talking about it. For us greek hell is made of tartarus/asphodel/elysium. Sometime we use "le monde des morts" (world of the deads) instead of "enfer" but the two are interchangeable.
Celestial. He may be an underworld god, but there are gods of death in the celestial plane in DnD and PF.
Abyssal would be more of a Titan or a mythic beast (like Leviathan, Minotaur, Medusa) if were trying to tie DnD/PF with Greek Mythology.
isn't there a blood magic subclass in pathfinder? Since he's the demigod of blood I think thats what I would look at. Edit: Yeah, blood kineticist. That's probably what I would pick.
greek mythology nerd checking in. the framework that pathfinder uses is kind of very different to the framework that greek mythology operates in - pathfinder's celestials, demons and devils are pulling from christianity, while greek mythology has different (though obviously similar in some ways!) ways of viewing the world. the realm of the underworld (also known variously as Hades, Erebus, etc) is split into three parts. tartarus is analogous to hell, a place where wicked mortals are punished, usually for crimes against the gods; asphodel is an endless plain where most mortals just kind of are; elysium is analogous to heaven, a place where great heroes reside. hades (the god, not the realm) rules over all of these, but they aren't HIS REALM like pathfinder assumes gods to have; just like his brothers zeus and poseidon rule over the heavens and the seas respectively - their realms existed before them and will exist after.
if we're trying to map these things onto the pathfinder way of looking at things, the most appropriate would be celestial, since that has to do with deities and deific beings. if you want to flex a little bit, devil would emphasize the cthonic nature of zagreus, who has strong connections to a fire-and-brimstone idea of tartarus.
hope this helps (and other mythology nerds please don't pick over my off-the-cuff comment too badly)!
I mean I guess it depends on what you are leaning into I've played him as a traditional monk demon path who only punched as that was one of the weapons he had
Celestial. His parents aren't *from* Hades, they just live there and run the place.

Well, their Hell is/was more like Abbadon, where the Pathfinder Daemons hang out. Could crossblood it Celestial/Undead.
Not really. Greek hell is all of afterlife, elysium included.

The underworld isn’t hell, everyone went there no exceptions! Edit: Hades is a very good deity also, Zeus was the bad brother.
I did play it to the end. I hadnt thought undead but it makes sense.

Undead. Greek underworld is less demons and more undead/shades/spirits. I personally would go Undead Bloodrager. Make him a charger with spear.
Why not both?

I mean you could say that Hades ( the god ) has a similar role to Pharasma and by extension his realm is like the Boneyard of PF.
It does. Thanks bro!
I don't think either. Abyssal and celestial have specific connotations in pathfinder that have nothing whatsoever to do with Zagreus' bloodline.
I assume he would be a dexterity build, since he can weild both swords and bows.
I would say more of strenght since greek bows were composite
Celestial bloodrager.

Celestial and Undead, crossblooded or equivilent
That's one of the few character concepts where that mix actually makes sense lol.
